Didn't eat here, we just came for drinks for a friend (used to be a local) of a friend's (local) brithday while we were visiting Breck.
You can definitely tell it's a local's bar, which we love. Â Awesome, cheap drink specials! Â Cool decor in the bar as well. Â Air Hockey, Foosball, Pool Tables, Big Buck Hunter.. all a plus as well!!
Stopped in here for dinner on a weeknight because there were lines out the door everywhere else on Main Street. Â Pleasantly surprised to see there was only one other group in there - I'm sure the atmosphere is a bit different on Fri/Sat nights, but it was perfect for a low key dinner that we were looking for. Â I got to try out my first Philly Cheesesteak sandwich (w/fries for only $4.95!), and it was absolutely delicious. Â Perfect blend of flavors. Â I prefer steak fries to thin fries, but these were good for being thin. Â The waitress was friendly and we got everything quickly and correctly. Â I can't judge it as a "bar" bar but as a place to go for an early dinner, it was excellent.
Review Source:Came here on Sunday night because this place was advertised as trivia night....
Walked in ten minutes late & no one is playing trivia. Bar tender tells us, just wait until after the football game (barely the 3rd quarter) and we will start trivia afterwards.
After having driven all the way out there, we decided to have a beer. Bought a pitcher of Bud Light for $7....
The game of trivia never began and we were bored watching the game.
On the plus side, this bar does have some games.
VERY local scene.
Not impressed
This is a total dive bar on Main Street that has a great selection of beers on tap as well as PBR and Coors tallboys for only $3.50. There are games everywhere - foosball, pool, air hockey, Buck Hunter, Golden Tee - hard to be bored here. The bartenders are friendly. They were quite tolerant of my ugly sweatered boisterous crew hogging all the games and barstools and even took a few hilarious pics. A very young and very large crowd appears after 10pm, so prepare for this bar to get extremely crowded. But before that it's a fun and cheap place to have drinks. Seems like more locals than tourists. I learned that Ullr is actually a goddess, not a god.
Review Source:Probably not the best place to go if you are a "tourist".  Should preface this review by stating that "locals" (ie anyone who has lived here for more than a year) are the norm during the day, and their animosity towards outsiders is very apparent.  Most of them are a buck-o-five at most, so at most they are an annoyance.  However, in an establishment that bought all their tvs at a garage sale, it doesn't add to the experience.  Now getting to the rest of the review.  The service was good, and the drinks reasonably priced.  There are two pool tables, air hockey, and a foosball table. Overall, I would have to say that if it were in any other city, the  clientele would consist of losers who would show up after they cashed their welfare check.  Instead, the place is filled with locals who are to ignorant to figure out how to apply for welfare and who probably spend their free time smoking marijuana and killing the few brain cells they still have.
Review Source:Terrible service, we went there around 5pm on a weeknight - not that crowded and waited about 30 minutes - wasn't acknowledge and were never even able to order drinks. Everyone around us was complaining about the wait, trying to close our tabs etc so we ended up leaving. Not sure what the bartenders were doing behind the bar, but the service was horrible.
Review Source:Ullr's (pronounced ooo-lar's) is a great place. Â It fits well in the Breckenridge, as it is named after the Norse God of Snow.
Great Prices - my girlfriend and I drank liquor drinks and shots here for about 2.5 hours, and I was pleasantly surprised when our bill was in the $30 range.
The bartenders are friendly and chill, offering a local perspective and convo to any curious tourist.
One (major) downside is the music. Â They only have a jukebox. Â If nobody is paying about $.50, there is an awkward silence. Â Regrettably, the bar staff explain they couldn't do anything about this.
Hence our eventual departure...
if you're hanging out in breck and looking for a cool bar to drink and play,Ullr's is a very good choice. i probably should give it 3 stars because of their lame juke box problem but i had such a good time there (even WITH stretches of awkward silence) and the staff is so friendly, i have to give them 4.
try the ullr shot. it's totally gross and you wont have more than one but, seriously, try it.
if you're a semi attractive girl i suggest going with your boyfriend, or some other male companion...unless you're really looking to get hit on by drunk locals. there arent a lot of girls hanging out in here so you can count on attention if you want it.
Ullr's seemed like a cool spot. Plenty of room, a bunch of pool tables, a couple fooseball tables and a good tap selection. We headed here first thing for my buddy's bachelor party. Good place to stop in. The bartenders were friendly and made some good selections for local brews. They have a pretty good juke box that kept us there just to hear our tunes and get a bit rowdy for the rest of the night.
We played a bunch of pool, a little bit of fooseball and generally hung out before heading to other places. This is definitely the type of bar that you go to hang out at. More so, it's a great starting off bar. The best part is how cheap it is. There were ten of us and I got the first round. I expected it to be around the $50+ range, nope, not the case. A mere $22 tab and I was quite delighted to sign my name for such a deal. Way better deal than paying $45 for a bunch of PBR!
Also, see the bartenders for more information about joining the Breckenridge Women's Hockey League.
Ullr's Sports Grill definately has an inviting atmosphere that lets one enjoy an evening in Breckenridge with a full bar, TV sets scattered around, Pool, Foosball, Golden Tee, etc.... all this bar is missing is the basketball game Pop-A-Shot instead of that pathetic ping pong ball basketball who knows what you call it game. I definately enjoyed the down to earth bartenders who were very quick to pour another. If your in Breckenridge, make sure you stop at Ullr's.
Review Source:BEST BAR IN BRECKENRIDGE. Â
A Saturday night pub crawl with the in-laws, and we all agree -- Ullr's is the best bar on Main St. Â It had the right combination of drunk locals, tourist hikers (it's August), and pool sharks to make this pub crawling girl happy. Â Plenty of booths and bar seating, so you won't be forced to stand awkwardly unless you want to. :) Â
2 tequila shots + pint of Molson + whiskey sour + vodka water = $15, which ain't bad. Â I wish we had found it earlier in our trip, because I'd love to go back!!
