Went late on a Sunday evening. The Kahve steak tips I had were slightly overdone, but the quality of the meat was so good you could cut it with a fork. The vegetables and mashed potatoes were perfect, not to mention the service. We constantly had 3 people checking on us. My sister had the crab cakes with steamed broccoli and a salad. I ate the rest of her crab cakes, and I don't even like crab cakes (they were that good). The broccoli was lightly buttered, not too hard, not too soft. I'm upset that there's only one of these in Texas. I will definitely find a way to come back again.
Review Source:Before I say anything about the food, I want to comment on the staff. Everyone that I dealt with was fantastic, not a single bad thing to say about the staff.
That being said, I got two thin crust pizzas and some mozzarella sticks to go. I am not being facetious when I say that I have had better gas station frozen pizzas. The pizzas themselves are just dreadfully bad. Cheese sticks...well, they are cheese sticks. Hard to go wrong with those, and they tasted pretty good. But man, the pizza....I have had their deep dish before and it's good, but stay away from the thin crust. Save yourself $20 and pick up a home run inn or something.
Nice place to come with friends to celebrate birthdays and Christmas.
Came early on a weeknight (5pm) and staff was ready to greet us and find a great table. Server was attentive and very friendly
Food was good, some very much enjoyed the food, and others were a bit salty (don't remember which dish was which, so won't quote this. I ordered their Mediterranean pizza with Artisan crust. The pizza was warm, almost hot, and the flavors were good. Crust is very nice! Not the worlds best pizza, but definitely worth stopping in.
The server kept watching for refills, even on water, and was prompt with bringing our bill.
Went there the other night and we ordered a salad, soup and pizza. Â We wanted to sit at the bar and watch the game. Â Asked for the soup to be served first and after a while it was obvioius the bartender forgot about the salads and soup as once I caught his eye he ran back to the kitchen and came back with 2 salads. Â I asked about the soup and he said they were still making it. Â Lame excuse for sure. Â We just started eating our salads and the pizza arrived and I told him that was inappropriate to bring all of the food at once. Â He said he could keep the pizza warm for us if we wanted. Â There were two bartenders, a male and female and it was obvious they had no intention to provide good service. Â When we went to eat our cold pizza, we realized it was the wrong one and let them know - it was for the poor soul across the bar who was waiting for his pizza. Â Our pizza was sitting somewhere else and was immediately available. Â Just a poor effort at the bar and the front hostess stand had a young hostess with several of her friends hanging out. Â Not very well managed/would not go back.
Review Source:The pie here is actually pretty tasty although I feel way too pricey for what you get. Â I mean 25 bucks for a 12in?????? Â Ingredients were fresh and the sausage had a good flavor, service was very good. Not much else I can say. Â If you want to spend 40 bucks on a really small pizza,2 ice teas, a pepsi and the tip then this is your place. Â I won't be returning anytime soon as I feel there are much cheaper and just as good alternatives.
Review Source:Not really sure why I don't eat here more often. I've liked everything I've ever ordered here. The deep dish pizza with pepperoni is really good. I can compare it to Giordano's but the crust is a little different. Tonight I decided to try the steak with chimichurri sauce, mashed potato bake and rice pilaf. (see pic) OMG, it was delicious. The beef melted in my mouth and the chimichurri gave it a nice flavor. It didn't hurt that I had a coupon for a free entree that was emailed to me for my birthday. How awesome is that?!? There weren't even any silly stipulations on it like "w/ purchase of another entree" or "maximum value of $5" which was great. Of course I dined with other people so they still got some business out of me. And of course I tipped the waiter on the full amount of the bill (including the price of the steak) because that's the proper thing to do. :-) Check them out. I think I'll have to try their lunch specials next. And kids eat free on Tuesdays so bring little Jimmy to make his own pizza or create his own pasta. I've also always had a very helpful and friendly waitress or waiter.
Review Source:Great Deep Dish Pizza! Â Great food in general. Â I have had almost everything on the menu. Â What really sets this restaurant apart is the service! Â By far the best service of any restaurant I have gone to, which keeps my wife and I coming back time after time. Â Oh don't forget the two dollar deserts.
Review Source:My dad is a total pizza whore. Â Unos is his fave.
Sure, it's a chain. Â Sure, it's nothing special for those of us who grew up on deep dish. Â No shockers.
What I do like, though, is how NICE everyone is at this location.
When our za came out a lukewarm in the middle, our server gladly stepped in to make things right. Â He offered to put our current pizza through the oven again since they take SO long to cook (Deep dish, man. Â It's a bitch.). Â Then, they sent us home with a complimentary large deep dish as an apology for the undercooked pizza. Â Both the manager and the server were very nice about the whole thing.
I'm certainly a fan of other pizza joints probably more than Unos, but I'm OK with it.
This was pretty bad we had the supreme-like deepdish and a pepperoni deepdish. Fortunately I got to taste some good deep dish pizza at Gino's and Lou Malnati's. It tasted a lot like deep dish pizza hut. The originator of a dish is not always the master. This is a pizza place that offers canned smoothies. All the pizza taste frozen. When you walk out you will see a sign that offers frozen UNO's DeepDish pizza's you can take home. I do not think much more needs to be said, but i will say it. I think they are selling ready made pizzas! Great service regardless of how crappy the food was.
Review Source:We went here because my uncle from out of town was visiting. Uno was very accommodating to our large group. They had a table available immediately and didn't seem to be annoyed when we chatted and enjoyed each other's company long after our meal was complete.
I brought my toddlers, and when one had a coughing fit, an employee immediately brought us a cup of warmed water (without us requesting this!) which was such a kind gesture. Little niceties like that go a long way in my book.
Our food was delicious. I recommend the stuffed mushroom appetizers and the little mashed potato appetizer.
I'm not from Gurnee, but it's a midway point between me and lots of my family, so I will definitely be back here, as our experience here was lovely.
Yes, it is a chain.
However, they have great gluten free pizza! They have a whole gluten free menu that has several other options if you don't want pizza. I ask them to leave mine in a couple more minutes so it is a bit crispier.
I've been here many times and have always had great service. Highly recommended if you are looking for some gluten free awesomeness.

Your average, run of the mill American chain restaurant, although I suppose this one is slightly better. I came here for dinner Monday around 7pm with a party of 7 for someone's birthday.
The stuffed chicken I ordered http://www.yelp.com/biz_… was decent, as was the pizookie-like dessert my friend got.
Last night, I went with my husband and two sons, ages 8 and 22 months. Â I was hoping it would be a better visit than the last time we went about a month ago, but yeah...not so much.
First time we went there, we had stayed at the water park down the street, and were still a bit full from the food we had over there. Â So we wanted to go to Uno's to try the food they serve during "Snack Hour." Â Well, when we got there, the host said that they didn't allow kids in the bar, which is where they served the Snack Hour food, so we were forced to sit in the dining room. Â Our waitress also said that the Snack Hour menu was only served in the bar, so we were disappointed at that point. Â This place is pricey, so we didn't want to order from the full menu, but were forced to. Â We ended up paying around $45 after tax and tip, and the food wasn't the greatest I've had, to be honest.
When we got home that night, I emailed the corporate office to complain about this, and said we wouldn't be returning anytime soon. Â Great customer service, because the following week, I got a call from one of the two people who work out of their corporate office in Boston, MA. Â She apologized over and over and said that we should have been served the Snack Hour food, regardless of if we had children or not. Â She also mailed out $20 in coupon vouchers for us to return again "sooner rather than later."
So last night, we went back, and the first thing I asked the manager was if we could order Snack Hour food if we were sitting in the dining room, and he said yes, and that there was some kind of miscommunication before. Â So YES, we got hour snack hour food, but now the service just plain sucked. Â The waitress Tammy, moved kind of slow and I understand you have to do things while you're working, but It took us almost 2 hours to get out of there. Â She even forgot to put in my order for the appetizer sampler platter! Â I was wondering why we got our food before the appetizers...*SMH*!! Â My son ordered a sundae to go and ended up eating it there because she took that long to give me my bill. Â When she finally DID give me my bill, it had to be re-done by the manager because there were only 3 of the 4 vouchers I had given to her. Â Again, I waited, and by this time, my husband and sons were waiting in the car for about 20 minutes already. Â I finally got the final bill, but had to go up to the front of the restaurant to the hostess stand in order to get moving. Â It was not at all busy, I was the only person left seated in my section, and there were numerous empty tables. Â Why it took her that long to give me my bill, I have no idea, but whatever. Â I had to call the manager after I left to make sure they voided out the first transaction. Â Now I have to wait a couple days to be sure they actually DID void it out. Â I will complain again to the corporate office, but not to try to get more vouchers, simply because I want them to know how this location runs. Â
Service sucks, but I still gave her a $2 tip. Â Go somewhere else!!
We ate here last night after not having visited for about a year. Â They changed their menu (again?!) Â which gave them an excuse to add more items and raise prices a bit. Â The individual-size Chicago Classic was delicious as always but looked smaller than in previous visits. Â They used to serve it on a plate but now it comes in its own black baking pan. Â Maybe this just made it appear smaller, but I could swear it was actually bigger last time. Â Food was tasty as always though, but overall this place is getting more expensive.
Review Source:I love deep dish pizza and ashamedly I had never had Uno's before. Since this location is on my way home from work I decided to order pizza online and have it ready by the time I drove past on my route home.
I called to make sure that it would be ready at the specific time and not just "made" at that time as the website indicated. The girl working the phone told me that I had specified a time 2 hours later, which I hadn't. We were able to get the right time after we figured it out.
I arrived at the location a few minutes before I had said to have it ready. I ended up waiting about 5 minutes after I said to have it ready (no big deal) and was brought out my two pizza orders with a huge paper bag on top. What's that I thought?
The manager came out and personally apologized and said they gave me two desserts free of charge for waiting. I was shocked, it really wasn't a big deal at all, but they were super nice.
The pizza crust was INCREDIBLE! You have to try it. With two regular pizza's on the double deal for only $20 this place is worth checking out! Maybe they'll even throw in a few desserts for you!
First time trying UNO. Great experience! Super friendly service, food was served quickly, food was great. Manager came to our table to ask how our experience was since our server notified her that we were 1st time patrons. AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Review Source:Went there a few weeks ago with my parents. My dad didn't want to go here at first because he wasn't in the mood for pizza however after looking over the extensive menu he agreed to dining at Uno. My mom and I decided to share a veggie deep dish pizza, while my dad ordered a steak (oh what a surprise...). The food came 15 minutes later which I thought was very quick considering the type of piZZa we ordered. The pizza was simply delicious. Cheesy and overflowing with veggies. It was heaven. Or maybe I was just really hungey but either way I ate like 2 and a half slices! Mmm. Not gonna comment on dads steak because I'm not a fan of steak to begin with. The staff here was friendly and timely. It was normal, nothing extraordinary but not bad either. I'll be xoming back to the Uno restaurants again definitely
Review Source:Visiting from Seattle, WA after a day at Six Flags Great America, my brother and two of our friends wanted to try out some of Chicago's famous deep-dish pizza. This restaurant happened to be by our hotel, so we decided to try the place out. We ended up getting two deep-dish pizzas for four people and they were pretty delicious!
Review Source:Uno's offers a deep dish style pizza with an almost biscuit type crust rather than a bread type. Â Now the crust is crunchy, flaky, and very good. Â That said the pizzas are on the small side, all small are a "personal" size and the "large" would be a medium at most other places, plus they are not very deep. Â Their pizza selection has also been downsized, about 5 deep-dish and flatbread styles each. Â They used to have a Wild Mushroom and 5 Cheese Pizza that was outstanding but it has been years since they had it.
They do offer other items besides pizza, but they are average at best, and really why are you ordering anything but pizza here anyway. Â
The restaurant itself is fairly large and noisy but still clean.
One of many pizza choices around Gurnee Mills.
