i wouldn't recommend the braised pork quesadilla -- the consensus of the group was that it tasted more like a tamale. the food was ok, the ambience was really cute, almost makes you feel like you're not in fresno. there is even an outdoor patio area. i like the decor, and the service is great.

I have eaten at Veni's several times and I have always left satisfied.  The food is nicely prepared and of good quality but it is the service that makes Veni's one of my favorite restaurants.  I always ask for Susan.  It is rare in Fresno to get professional service while being treated like family at the same time.  Way to go!

Well I was drunk at this point- but, I had a red zin that was phenomenal- also the margherita pizza was good to. Nice atmosphere but a little crowded on a Friday night .

A Tower joint we would always frequent. It was a cool place for drinks and acting like idiots out on the back patio. Unfortunately their booze is incredibly expensive.

We went there for date night, and showed up early, like 6 pm, I had the chicken and Sue had the Cesar chicken salad, four Newcastle's and we were good to go. They had WiFi, but no one knew the password. (what's the point of having WiFi then? Boo) the Pecan pie with pecan icecream was an added touch that we both enjoyed.

We enjoyed everything we had here. I especially liked the blue cheese ribeye. I love bold flavors, and this delivered.
The Stockholm Royale is something you should try. It is really yummy, and if it wasn't $9, I could see myself getting hammered on those alone.
The service was good, but they added 20% on our tab and copped an attitude when we asked to have the bill split between us 3 couples (which they ultimately refused to do).  I have been a server, and it ain't shit to split a tab for a table. That's crap. Actually, Im gonna reduce my rating to 3 stars for that.
We really enjoyed the meal, but overall I found it overpriced and the awkwardness of settling the bill really frosted my ass, so no, prob won't be back.

Absolutely love this place! Although a little on the pricey side it was definitely worth it. The ambiance was wonderful, food was to die for, and the drinks were delicious. If your looking for a place to go either with friends or just you and your loved one this is definitely the place to go! We will definitely be returning.

Excellent food and romantic atmosphere. Food was AWESOME! Shrimp, Salmon, pasta, steak and the sweets were to die for. Wish I could have heard the live band

I like this place because of the back patio. Brick, stone, hanging lights, and all that jazz. A nice spot to sit/stand around with friends, drink a few drinks, and just have a good time conversing the night away without the nuisance of frat boys and beezies.

I wouldn't come here for dancing since there isn't room. But if space isn't an issue for you then help yourself.

You know the feeling when you arrive in a new city without knowing anyone or anything?  I drove to this area and saw Babylon, that was the ghetto-ist shit ever and had a cover, so I came here instead and hung out in the outdoor area.  It was so, friggin', hot.  And appalling how many overweight girls there were.  I think there were only 3 that were not overweight.  WTF

The inside had a dance area and was thankfully air conditioned but it was just smaller and not as much fun.  So I sat around outside and made lots of friends.  Before you know it, I was having a blast, without even drinking (long two days in the national parks).

I've been to Veni's four times in the 25+ years living in Fresno. I would go more often if it were a little less pricey. The service has always been good. The ambiance is unusual for Fresno but welcome. It feels like the village in Manhattan (without the humidity). It's an energetic crowd and wait staff. I've been pleased with all menu items I've sampled except for a dry pork chop once. Their signature cocktail, Stockholm Royale is great (but be careful, it's potent). All in all, a thumbs up!

I've been meaning to write this Veni's review for ages. There are a lot of things I like about triple V, the ambiance, decor, patio, and neighborhood. The wine list is surprisingly good and if you look hard enough you can find some relatively reasonable deals (meaning low markup) on select bottles of wine that are higher priced, if you know what to look for. The food is also decent. We ordered a couple of starters, the daily soup special and the jalapeno Cesar salad. Pretty standard fare.....the jalapeno infused Cesar was tasty. We also ordered a bottle of Syrah to compliment our meal. For my main entree, I ordered the grilled rosemary blue cheese crusted rib eye steak w/ maple syrup hot mustard glaze. Say that fast 3 times...it's a mouthful. Normally I like the combo of blue cheese and steak, but this concoction was a midnight stoner's dream. The recipe with the maple syrup hot mustard glaze just doesn't work for me with the blue cheese and the steak. Too much is going on with this dish. The co-owner, Cindy, came over to talk to us about the wine and also comped us a glass of wine to try.

Overall, the food seems to be solid, the ambiance for the dinner crowd is vibrant, and the owner is affable. She definitely knows how to get repeat business by developing relationships with her customers. Something other bizz owners in this area forget to do.

The late-night party scene is hit or miss, but this review is based on dinner.

I went to Veni Vidi Vici in the Tower District last night for the first time in many years. I was very excited to try the lovely food again. While the decor is still nice and interesting and the food is presented beautifully, the taste was VERY mediocre. As were the menu choices. I was shocked and disappointed. I remember this place for innovative creations and excellent flavors. There were virtually no vegetarian options. I'm not a vegetarian but sometimes I just don't feel like eating creatures.

If the prices were comparable to the flavors and quality of the food, it would be no problem. Unfortunately, this place is quite expensive for the mediocre quality actually served.

It's the probably the last time for me, but good luck to the rest of you.

A very nice and classy bar but their drinks are watered down like crazy. Luckily our server was very nice and got me a replacement but thumbs down to the bartender. I'd probably stick to wine and beer at this place just to be on the safe side.

Last night (Saturday) was a good dinner.  Tried to call early in the day but got the recording, but was called back later and confirmed for 7.  Got there at 7 and it had a few diners and no one at the bar.  That changed about 9 when the bar started picking up and the diners cleared out.  The jazz ensemble was setting up but we couldn't stay for the music but definitely there was crowd anticipation of a good time by 10. The volume was starting to get louder in the place.

After seeing the reviews on the Royal martini I had to have one.  A sweet concoction of vodka, lemonade, champagne and chombard.  Went down easy enough, definitely not my style (whiskey neat) but tasty and great for those of you that want you partner liquored up a bit.  The whiskey pour was generous.  We brought a nice bottle of wine, not sure about the corkage fee - best to call ahead.

We had the goat cheese, olive and garlic appie.  Second time with that one...very good.    Also had the spring rolls but that was not anything special.  No one ate the last roll but the goat cheese was licked clean.  Dinner was the lamb special for me, seafood linguine and two bleu cheese NY steaks for the other three at the table.  All well presented, good flavors and cooked as ordered.  Yes the steaks are strong in flavor.  If you don't like sauce on your steak and are a purist, then find something else.  Both diners ate up the entire steak and sauce.  Portions were just right.  Dessert was the Bananas Foster, brownie and honey-lavender ice cream.  Enjoyable but nothing ecstatic.

Service was casual and appropriate.  We were engaged in conversation and the server picked up on that.  We were there 2 1/2 hours. Never felt rushed or neglected.  Other diners came in after and left before so I'm sure you can time your dinner accordingly, just let the server know.

We will be back.  It's nice to visit the Tower and see all the activity.  Now if we could just get the same thing going on in the Cultural Arts area...

This review is for the dinner service.  I went to Veni's tonight w/ my mom because I had a <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> gift cert and I had been wanting to go.  When we arrived there around 645 there were a couple people sitting at the bar and one table with people drinking.  We stepped in the door and the bartender just stared at us, didn't greet or anything really.  The waiter appeared from the kitchen and told us to sit wherever we wanted.  We perused the menus and the wine list.  Mom ordered the roasted chicken and I ordered the rib-eye.  I also had a generously poured $10 glass of Sangiovese.

Food - the food was beautifully presented, when it arrived at the table I was excited to eat it. My excitement dwindled after the first few bites. Now, I LOVE good strong flavors, but after a few bites of the ribeye with the blue cheese and mustard sauce, my palate was killed.  The flavors were super overpowering, and I couldn't even taste the meat whatsoever.  Maybe that's their way of covering up low quality meat?  For $32 this should not be the case.  I scraped off the sauce but the taste permeated the meat.  I think they need a lighter hand with the sauce, and stick to one kind of sauce, either the blue cheese rosemary sauce, or the mustard maple sauce, but not both.  Maybe switch to dijon mustard or something because it had a strong "yellow mustard from a squeeze bottle" flavor.  I did not enjoy the steak at all, and I did not finish it, and I ALWAYS finish my steak.  It came with some roasted potatoes, which were very heavily seasoned with a seasoned salt or cajun seasoning or something.  Again, way too much overpowering, palate-killing flavor.  The broccolini was good.  I would not order this dish again, and it was very disappointing seeing as it was the most expensive thing on the menu.   My mom said her chicken and asparagus was very good and I had a few bites of her potatoes, which were a super delicious mash with rosemary. The glaze on the chicken was super delicious, I even dipped my bread in the extra on the side.  I would order this dish if I went back again.   For dessert we shared a warm brownie with ice cream.  It was fine, nothing special but after all, it's a brownie.

Service - service was pretty good at first.  Attentive without hovering, food came pretty quickly etc.  But as time went by, the service got slower and slower.  My mom had to ask for more water because her glass was empty for at least 10 minutes.  Our finished dishes sat in front of us for 10-15 minutes.  I thought, well, maybe the waiter is just really busy since he's the only one working.  But, I watched for awhile and there were only 4 tables with people actually eating food so it was not that busy.  He was not running around checking on tables, I only ever saw him bringing out food and the rest of the time he seemed to be standing around in the back talking to the guys in the kitchen or something.  He finally came to take the plates and asked if we were all set.  He did not offer a dessert menu, so I asked for one.  After dessert he came and took the plates and said he would be back with the check.  A good 10-15 minutes later he brought the check.  I already had my card out to hand to him so thankfully we didn't have to wait another 10-15 minutes again for him to come back to pick it up.  Again, he didn't seem to be all that busy so I have no idea why everything took forever after the food came out.  Dinner took about 90 minutes overall, most of which was spent sitting there waiting for the waiter to come do his job.  Pretty poor service in my mind for a Fresno restaurant that charges in the $20-30 range for entrees.

Now, I'm not sure if the lack of good service had to do with using a <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> gift cert, since the 18% tip is automatically added in so maybe he felt like he didn't have to put in the effort?  I'm the type to add in even more tip on top of the auto-added gratuity, but I definitely didn't do it this time.  We sure didn't feel very "taken care of" in this restaurant tonight. Our bill was $54 after the auto-added tip and $25 off gift certificate.

I'd still probably come back to try another dish because other items on the menu did look good, and I like the atmosphere.  Hopefully the waiter was just having an off night.

I love going to this place.  It has a great atmosphere, great service, great food, and great drinks.  We have always had a wonderful experience here and it shows that their chefs have pride in what they do.
I have always found their servers to be helpful and upbeat.  They are always attentive, but do not constantly interrupt you.

    When Veni's is on -- it's ON.

And what I mean by this, is that not all nights have the same crowd, music, etc., which is the only reason this classic Tower institution doesn't get 5 stars from me (which I always regret since I love it here).

I don't care what anyone else says, call me arrogant, smug, biased, wrong, whatever, but I KNOW how Veni's is supposed to be, which is how it was last night; this is when Veni's is at its finest hour, and NO one can tell me any different. Last night Veni's shined and was in it's true, original form; I'll describe exactly why below:

    1. Music

First of all, there was an AMAZING live band playing last night, which consisted of a male vocalist / bass player, keyboardist, drummer, and female lead guitarist who was OFF the chain talented. Another talent was the young, black male vocalist who was very reminiscent of a velvety-voiced John Legend as well, and was equally amazing; they ALL were! I couldn't help but buy them all drinks (or at least try to). They had original material which I would describe as modern blues / jazz, and even played some top 40 radio stuff towards the end of the night, all with their own style and spin -- fucking awesome. After choppin' it up with them a second, they told me they weren't even a "band," but just local artists getting together to play a gig. Truly awesome, and you can't help but think of the camaraderie of the New Orleans jazz scene when hearing this, how their artists are known to just come together and jam with only the love of music and jazz in mind. The entire restaurant was vibing and grooving off the music; everyone in the place couldn't help nodding their head.

    2. Crowds

This is another important and key element to making Veni's "Veni's." It was a great mix of people last night, as the music usually dictates this I feel. Veni's is at it's worst when it's simply too ghetto and douchey. Veni's fucked up and alienated it's fans years ago when they started trying to get too mainstream, and making the place turn into a hip-hop club on certain nights. It's a goddamn travesty, and why I don't come here as much as I used to. I'm not saying I don't like hip-hop either, it's the crowds that it draws that gets annoying, and the place can get shoulder-to-shoulder and rowdy, which is a terrible combination for this place; I really don't think I have to elaborate any longer, I'm positive most people reading this will understand exactly what I'm trying to say.

As far as key elements go, that's about it right there: music and crowds. It's so vital and important for Veni's to realize this. Last night was just an example of how awesome this place should be every weekend. Last night, we were sitting at the bar, ordering great appetizers, drinks, and just nodding our head to the backdrop of some amazingly hip, groovy, jazz. It was loud, but not TOO loud -- just how it should be at a hopping place like this. The crowd consisted of just a GREAT mix of people, young and old, diverse in not only color but sexual orientation (...this IS Tower District we're talking about), it was just awesome. You could tell every single person there was thoroughly enjoying their night.

When Veni's is at it's 'peak,' I'm convinced that it's unarguably the most un-Fresno place in the city, which can be the greatest thing ever (sad to say). We truly felt like we were in some hip, trendy Los Angeles night spot enjoying great music and great food, not even aware that we were in Fresno; it felt almost as if we were on vacation in a different city. When Veni's has it's shit together, this is the feeling I love so much about this establishment.

Veni Vedi Vici is 5 star "as good as it gets" at moments like this. It's just disappointing that I can't rate it accordingly because nights like last night simply aren't the norm anymore for this establishment. I think this is reflected in its 3.5 rating average at the time of this update, and that's sad since this should be one of the best night spots in Fresno, with an average rating of a 4.5. I think I'll only go here from now on by calling ahead to see if there's going to be a local band playing. Veni's cannot be beat when it's supporting it's local artists on nights like this.

    I miss you Veni's...

I heard that it was pretty nice place to have drinks, maybe 3-5 years ago, now, it has turned into a very trashy, ghetto place. The skanky women that goes there gets piss ass drunk and become argumentative and  rude. The vibe is just negative and dirty. They still have the nice decor, they just lost the nice ambiance of the place. Okay service, over-priced drinks and food, ghetto ambiance, and dangerous looking. I'd rather eat at Dennis, they serve the same amount of quality meal, better service and no worrying if some drunk is going to annoy you.

This was my first time at Veni Vidi Vici. I heard about this place and good reviews so I thought I'd go have dinner with my husband on a Saturday night.

The environment was awesome. I thought I was back at my favorite spot in downtown LA.

The food was okay. I felt like the entrees were a bit too pricey. I had the pear salad which was good but I still think it was way overpriced for a Salad.
I think they should add one more $ to their page on Yelp.

Great wine selection and it seems like a great night spot after 10PM.

Place got packed aroun 9pm, friends and family abounding.  Fun bar scene, chill dining area and food is still great!

I'm here about 3-4 times a month with friends and family. It's a great place to hang out and catch up with friends on weekends.

They have brunch every Sunday, I believe. I attended a brunch event, celebrating Michael Jackson's B-Day, not too long ago and paid $15 for two PHENOMENAL shrimp tacos and all-you-can-drink champange.

You have to try their shrimp tacos!

I've never been here for food, only for drinks. It gets pretty busy but if you step outside to take a phone call, don't expect to be let back in as is what happened with my friend one night. The inside is fairly small and gets pretty crowded with people dancing, outside gets pretty busy too, but thankfully it has another bar.

It's an ok atmosphere; some of the people there leave a lot to be desired, but overall it's ok. It's not on the top of my list to go and visit but I wouldn't refuse to go if someone in my group wanted to.

When in Frenso, I like to pretend I am not in Fresno.  Sometimes I pretend I am in Rome.  So I can say things like, "When in Rome," and then take my pants off.

If you're in Fresno and actually want to eat some thing from a place that doesn't suck the chrome of a trailer hitch then you should try Veni Vidi Vici.

When I lived in Fresno I ate at Veni's constantly because it was one of the few serviceable restaurants for a few hundred miles.  Recently I went to Fresno on a business trip and it was nice to see nothing had changed.

The back patio was still fresh and filled with people having a good time.  Inside was crowded and loud like a good restaurant should be.  A couple of cute girls were kickin it here and there.  They still ask you to leave if you try taking your pants off at the table.

I really wish this restaurant was somewhere else.  Like Rome.  Taking your pants off at the dinner table in Rome is practically a compliment to the chef.

DELYSHOUS CHALLENGE OF THE DAY: Where to you eat in Fresno and feel like you're in San Francisco?

I may have left my heart in San Francisco when I temporarily moved back to Fresno one summer years ago, but Veni Vidi Vici gave me a little bit of that San Francisco treat. Nestled in the Tower District, this restaurant is a neighborhood jewel. I've been there twice for dinner/cocktails on girls night out and a date. My cosmo was perfect (back in the days when I still drank them) and the pasta totally won me over. Despite the fact my date "only had forty bucks for dinner," I truly enjoyed the ambience, menu and service. It's a small yet comfortable setting with open kitchen. I can't remember all the details but this just reminds me I need to go back a third time while I'm in town (this time from New York)!

This place could go head to head with any of the popular places in SF.  I had a really superb meal, possibly the best porkchop I've ever had.  The soup was great too.  No complaints whatsoever.

My favorite part was after the meal when a reggae band showed up and started to jam.  Too cool...  I love reggae.  I could hardly believe I was in Fresno.

Average price for entrees is $25-$32 and $10-$15 for salads.  With those kind of prices you'd think you get a high level of service.

Not the case.  We weren't greeted for almost 10 minutes.  After our food came, we didn't get the "how's your food?" visit until the end of our meal.  I really wanted to order s glass of wine when my food came but wasn't able to until I was almost finished.  Doesn't matter, because they were out of the wine I wanted to order anyways.

The presentation on the dishes was good. The chef had good portions and good recipes.  My wife's meal was the best: ribeye with blue cheese and a maple mustard sauce.
My friend's steak ($33) was fatty and way undercooked.  He asked for well done and it was pink throughout.  My chicken was ok.  Garlic mashed potatoes were well made.

We waited over 20 minutes to get our check.  Server was in no hurry to do anything related to taking care of basic server 101 type stuff.

The decor was bland.  Exposed brick and high ceilings were nice, but the few 8.5 x 11 photos of a guy wearing a gas mask smoking a cigarette qualifies as dorm room decor, not a restaurant where you overpay for food.

They're doing it out in Fresno. Nuevo American Bistro food with some asian accents. Beautiful presentations and familiar dishes with unique flavors. Some of the flavor combinations were strange and had me trying to figure it out all way through, but all in all, it was solid. Prices are steep.

Around 10pm the kitchen shuts down, a DJ plugs in and a whole nightlife crowd rolls up.

I met the owner/chef, a cool head, and had some beers with the crew after hours. I had fun. My head stll hurts.

Personally I like Venis, on most nights its a nice place to kick back and enjoy one of the many live music shows or DJ's they have there for you. The staff is always friendly and Carlos makes a really good Stockhold Royal. I do have to say on certain weekend nights the patio can get filled with some skeezy male patrons but hey that happens everywhere. Grab a table if youre early enough a drink and just enjoy yourself.

The food here is also pretty good. Admittedly Ive really only eaten a variety of the appetizers but what I've tasted was good.I've been meaning to stop in for a real meal but always end up here during later hours. Definitely check it out. The place looks nice and they usually have art work featured on the walls which is really awesome.

I'm giving this place a 3 because it is only a fun experience at certain times for certain people. I was generally pretty content with this place and raved about the food (Italian/California cuisine) to all who would listen...

    Until I brought my moms.

My boyfriend and I took her there for dinner on a Friday evening at 6:30pm. The place was nearly empty. We walked in, and the wait staff didn't even approach us. We started to walk towards a table, when a waitress came up to us and said that table was reserved. That pissed off my mom right away. We were then told that the only open table was right in front of the door. We sat there, and the entire evening, my mom watched that "reserved" table, which was never used until 8pm or something.

After this, the waitress was pretty cold towards us, particularly my mom. My mother refuses to ever walk in there again.

Personally, I'd go there again, just because of the food and chill atmosphere (which turns into a crazy meat market after 10 or 11pm on weekends, which is when I leave).

Also, during the art hop (first thursday) they have nice art on their walls. Once a month, they are open Sunday afternoon (1-5 I think) with a dj, tapas, etc. It's called the Antidote.

I only had a couple glasses of wine but it was a fun experience. The scene does change drastically between 9PM - 11PM. We got there around 9PM and the crowd was composed of liberal arts professors. Gradually, yet somewhat suddenly, Veni's transitioned to the younger college crowd intent on drunken affairs. It's a fairly easy place to get enter and exit. There's a patio in the back and a small dining area on the inside. Both inside and outside have a bar to order from. Bathrooms are fairly clean until the place becomes packed.

I would have appreciated a bigger service staff. It took awhile to find our waitress. She thanked my friend profusely for not walking out on the tab; that, I assume happens all the time. Also the light that illuminates the restaurant's sign isn't working. This made it incredibly difficult to find the place. If you're not a local you will not find this place. My friend and I thought this place was closed until we called our local friend.

Music is sporadic. I couldn't tell if it was playing the entire time or if I had selective hearing. There doesn't really seem to be a specific kind of theme other than "party atmosphere".

You can tell by the dates of the reviews the trend is definately in a slide.  I used to frequent the restaurant (at least 3 times per week) when I lived in the Tower.  The place, when it opened, was different from anything in town serving unique and high quality dishes in a trendy but comfy atmosphere.   During my last visit I could tell Viny's was marching down the road away from the quality, service oriented place it used to be towards a club scene that seems destined to burn out.

If you're a foodie it was a must, now you can skip it unless you want to get sloshed with all the other club scene wanna bees.   Breaks my heart.

A good lounge area (go outside) with good drinks.  The inside area is very small.  They definitely need to remodel the interior.  A friend of mine dj there sometimes and I wondered how he fit his equipment into such cramped quarters.  We got there around midnight and there was hardly a crowd, but it took almost 20 mins before the bartender notice us.

The other star comes from the outdoor dining area with a full bar (shot, should have gotten our drinks there instead).  The mixed drinks were good.  I had the Tokyo Tea.  My friend said that it was made wrong, but with four different types of liquor, hey, I did not notice the difference.

It seems like everyone in the Tower finishes their night at Veni!  As the night went on, it was amazing to see more people filter in.  By the time that we left (1:30) it was a full house and the crowd was still going strong on a Saturday evening!

    Dining stops at midnight.
No coverage (not sure about special events)
    Lots of parking
    Crowd - Mid 20's to late 30's

I miss what Veni's used to be.  The staff is hit or miss now...I have waited an hour for my drink when sitting at a table.  When it's busy, forget about wait staff helping you, go to the bar.  Veni's has turned into the place that people come to look trendy and hip, even when they aren't.

On the upside, the food is consistently good and the music is worth weeding through the crowd for.

This place has gone down hill. I used to come here when a server named Raysin used to work here. He was gay and no longer working here. He would hook us up all the time. The music was better at that time. The crowd was much laid back and not as ghetto.

The Stockholm royals, Tokyo teas, and long island was the only thing to order. People would come over after Stones or after the pool hall place ( changed name so many times). Anyway, what happened? Why did this place turn out to be so skivvy.

Stockholm Royals.  that's all i have to say.  bath me in them. i look forward to sipping on these every time i go back to the motherland. PRICEY but good.  service @ the bar could be better.  i don't blame the tenders, i blame the owners/management for not hiring more help.

cool reggae scene there thursday nights. once again...you don't feel like you're in fresno. or maybe this is what fresno feels like now??

Veni's pulls off a very hard balancing act by being both a place for haute dining in the heart of Fresno's artsy Tower District as well as a legitimate venue for the city's progressive music scene. Pop on into the Triple-V any given Saturday night and feast your ears on some of the best turntablists the Valley has to offer. Hell, they even held it down on a SUNDAY. AFTERNOON. with Antidote (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gettheantidote.net%2F&s=529407bf222d5b8c11e631c4e1332d8124faf53fa4ec1b9fec75b9df996a76fe" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.gettheantidot…</a>) being hosted there.

The Veech also serves up a mean slice of California Fusion cuisine and a number of vegetarian dishes for the herbivore in you. Prices are standard haute fair, and the dishes may look like a culinary tribute to Jose Manuel Merello, but the portions they dole out are actually filling. Thank god the "charge $20 for an entree the size of an item off of McDonald's $1menu" trend has not yet hit Fresno.

Beats, Booze, and Bonafide yuminess in a cozy space that, as one reviewer put it, "looks to be straight out of Beetlejuice"? More please!

I came, I saw, I dropped about $35 and didn't feel like slitting my wrists afterward. Nice.
