I LOVE going to Vine Street Pub! The beer selection is great they have a lot of locals; the food is mostly sandwiches/burgers and salads, their specials are always good and the atmosphere is very relaxed with two dining rooms, each with its own bar. There is also no age limit for your kids or your not-yet-21 friends, so a great place to hang out. I highly recommend the Date Night Burger and the Blackberry Wheat Ale, also the Addiction Coffee Stout is amazing! It's like coffee and cream.... but a beer.... its so good.

One of the best neighborhood bars out there! Every time I think about The Vine I feel warm and cozy inside. Kind of similar to how I feel when I walk in. This place is always packed...in a very likable way.  You have to fight for a seat, yet I never seem to mind that much.

Oh and a whole month dedicated to Stouts? And I thought I couldn't love this place any more....

Good, fresh beer. Good food options. Nice people.

I have been multiple times and will go back, but it is not worth going very far out of your way for. If you are in the hood, it is a quality meal with great beer options.

I haven't been since they opened up their brewery, but I enjoyed myself there before then.  The food is pretty good, the staff seems to know their beers, and it feels a bit like a brewery at a ski lodge.  It's a enjoyable place to hang out and enjoy yourself with friends.

Their brunch has a limited selection, and the waitstaff seems to get slowed down, so if you go with the bottomless mimosa's, don't expect a lot of frequent refills in those tiny glasses.  That aside, the waitstaff does an awesome job, they're incredibly friendly, and the food is really good.

Generally good unless you have Bobby Brady deliver your food.  We started with an order of wings that  Bobby  dropped at the wrong table - we watched as one of the wings was picked up before Bobby was told they should have been left at our table.  Bobby decided it was easier to just give them us rather than get a new order.  My advice is do not let them sit you in the back room.  Service was slow  and Bobby is working the food service.

My wife and I came and checked out this place for the first time last week. We came back again tonight and I have to say one of the best burgers I have had in Denver. They also have phenomenal beers that they brew on site. The owner Kevin and his team do a great job. We will be coming back again and again. It's a good thing we live really close.

Great beer, good food.  Food is a bit pricey for what it is but it is real good.  Go for the beer and stay for the atmosphere.  You can have a lot of fun in this place.  Sunday night is free live music and all other nights of the weeks they have food and drink specials.  Definitely check them out.  Oh yeah and it's STOUT MONTH this month so go and get some!!!

I love, love, LOVE the Vine! It's our go to neighborhood haunt that always comes through with good healthy food options and great beer! It's family friendly but still cool. The servers are awesome and friendly, there are 2 great patios for enjoying a beautiful Denver evening/afternoon on, and you can even play a game of cornhole while you wait for a table on the west patio. Can't say enough good about this place! Even when I'm not all that hungry...the Vine always sounds good!

They don't take credit cards...and some have given it negative reviews for that which is ridiculous! Get over it, drink a beer, and just enjoy!

Until the other night I can't say I had ever had a bad experience here. Now I know to avoid this place on weekend nights.

Vine street makes good comfort food. It is reasonable cost-wise but it seems like every dish can't be adjusted without one spending more money.  Their brews are generally really yummy. I think the decorations are cheesy. A little more thought could be out into that.

I was really disappointed by the way they handled seating our large party the other night. We called a head, got there at a time the hosts suggested and then found out a table of 15 was being set up for three people who walked in ahead of us. I get first come, first serve when a place doesn't take reservations but we ended up waiting around for 45 minutes to get sat (our party down to six at that point) and the great big party ahead of us had a half sat table still. Just bad seating policy. I will return but definitely not on a weekend night.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Just missed the live entertainment on Sunday night. Burger was one of the best I've had in a while. Great tasting beer. I only dock it because of the cash only requirement. Definitely will be returning.

This was a good place to stop in for dinner/beer. It's so "Colorado." The servers work in teams and share the tips, there is cool art on the walls, and lots of patrons wear plaid.

I had a sandwich/salad which was good. I especially liked the variety on their menu (winter salad special with grilled pineapple for example) and their balsamic vinaigrette. They brew their own beers (typical CO) which are only $4.75.

This place is amazing. We initially stopped in on a week night for a beer. We sat down and each had a beer and couldn't help but order another.

We wanted to order dinner but realized that we only had plastic. The menus clearly state that they only take cash. We notified the waiter that we would not be ordering as we did not have cash. He said they were willing to work with us and that we could pay with check, use the ATM in the back or mail in our payment. We could not believe that they had such great faith in their customers!

The staff was so friendly and diverse as they share all jobs within the restaurant.

Not to mention, the hamburgers were amazing! Can't wait to go back soon. Definitely recommend this to place!

Excellent food.  Great service.  Great price.  The veggie chili was perfect.  We're not really beer drinkers, but we thoroughly enjoyed the blackberry wheat brew.  Crowded, but not unpleasant.  Lots of energy.  I highly recommend the Vine Street Pub & Brewery for dinner.

Great neighborhood micro Brew!  They have a great selection of beers and tasty hamburgers and sandwiches to snack on.  The brewery is very comfortable kind of like a ski lodge.   Remember to bring cash because they don't except credit cards!

Let's talk about some things I like: breakfast food, beer, picnic tables and unique business models. All totally unrelated but entirely satisfied by Vine Street Pub & Brewery.

I came here after running the Ugly Sweater 5K and my friend had mentioned her dissatisfaction with her last meal here. But, we were hungry and with a big group, so getting somewhere close to City Park that also had beer were top priorities.

Our group of 10 was seated at a cozy picnic-style table and I loved the friendly atmosphere it created between us. Our server was really nice and patient and made us feel very welcome.

I ordered one of their very own Mountain Sun Brews - java porter. It was delicious and $2.50! For a meal I had crazy panko-crusted french toast with almond butter and honestly I cannot even remember what the drizzle was...let's just call it awesome-sauce.

Problem: They didn't take credit cards. Solution: "Karma Check". That's right, they'll let you leave without paying. They'll give you your bill with an addressed and stamped envelope that you can later mail in the cash or check payment! Incredible! We were all befuddled at how they can get away with this and our server said that they get nearly 100% of payment back.

Makes you feel good about humanity, you know?

My friends and I attended the brewers dinner last night. The food, the beers and the staff were all top notch. 5 delicious courses from Vine St's chefs, paired with great tasting craft brews made in house. The chef's came out with every course to explain what we were eating, and. John, the head brewer would describe the corresponding beer and explained why he had chosen it. John was also nice enough to give us a tour of their brewing facilities and answer any questions we had about the beers. The staff went out of their way to be courteous, and they were really on their game. I've been eating at Vine St for years, and once again they've proven themselves the best casual spot to eat in this neighborhood.

I've been here now 5 times and each time it has been better than the last. The ambiance, the fantastic service and the awesome food and drink are where its at.  This restaurant/brewery is a hot spot among the people and I can definitely understand why.  The beers are delectible and they have a great selection for anyone from a novice to an avid beer snob.  The food has always been tasty, but the true star is the booze.

Get here early if you want to enjoy the patio or have a comfortable area to sit, this place gets packed almost every day.  I got there at 11:30 on Saturday and it was already beginning to get busy.

The vibe is good at Vine St. and highly recommend hitting it up!

I live across the street so it would be nice if I really liked this place, but after several lazy nights when we'd get take out, the food has been consistently nasty. The fries are like soggy worms. Maybe they're better when you sit down and eat, I don't really remember, but I definitely don't remember them being fantastic even while dining in the restaurant. The menu is pretty unexciting and bland. You could easily make anything on the menu yourself, but probably better.

The service is great, but that's because the servers pool their tips so don't be surprised if 8 different people are serving you.

The beer is great, that's for sure. If you want to drink a lot and hang with bros, go here! They have that bean-bag-in-a-hole game, if you're into that.

The truth of the matter is I haven't eaten here. I haven't even had a drink here. Vinestreet buys tickets and sells them for face value (cash only). On top of face value you get a free beer when you buy! I bought my Phish ticket here this summer and I am so happy I did. Vinestreet may be the nicest middle man you could ever work with!

I do need to go back and claim my beer and try out their menu! Plus on nice nights they have bags (corn hole) outside now who doesn't love that?!

Did you know Vine Street serves brunch? I had no idea until this past weekend, but they do from 11 am until 2 pm on Sundays at least. They also serve bottomless mimosas for $8 during this time.

    $8 friends.

And it comes in a sturdy glass.

The brunch menu is small (maybe 5 items?) but they all sound appealing. And you can still get the delicious burger if you opt out of eggs with your mimosa.

Vine street is one of my favorite places to drink with friends in Denver. Delicious beer and great atmosphere. Service can be a little slow sometimes but I think it's because they share tables, I can't hate on that because they split all the tips, even with the cooks (from what I hear).

I've only had the food a couple times, and nothing really stood out too much. I go there for the beer, not really for food.

Vine St. Pub is quite possibly the finest day-drinking establishment I have ever come across in my years of travel.  Start with a delicious Bloody Mary.  Want to go at it with a little bit more gusto?  Pair that Bloody Mary with an excellent coffee stout.

The food here is also very good.  Even though I have terminal East Coastal Seafood elitism, they do an excellent crisp ahi salad.  The date night burger is also a wonderful choice.  I like their decor and expansive patios.

There are few restaurants that I would want to sit around waiting for it to open.  Vine St. Pub is definitely one of them.  It is the rare restaurant that allows your alcoholism to transfer from early morning to late afternoon.  Play boardgames or corn hole.  Vine St. is the perfect place to avoid people and things that you don't particularly want to deal with!  A Shangri La of a restaurant!

Nice uptown location with a wrap-around corner patio, the Vine Street Pub is a great neighborhood gathering place.  They've figured out that not every crafted beer/ale has to be overwhelmed with hops, so they have a very good selection of more malty and less bitter brews (e.g., try the Kind Colorado Ale for a nicely balanced medium hopped choice, or the Annapurna Amber for a more malty and less hoppy selection).

However, if you like those powerful IPA-styled beverages, they've got a few selections that should not disappoint (e.g. the XXX IPA with over 7% alc content and scads of hops, or the assertive FYIPA).

Bottom line: an excellent spot for getting your carbonated alcohol.

I really haven't reviewed Vine Street yet? That's weird. Because I eat here all the time and I love it!

Their beers are so good, the food is so good, and there are a ton of vegetarian options. Really love the option to order 8 oz pours of a beer so you can sample a few without getting wasted. The patio is awesome but on a nice evening expect a wait of an hour. You can wait on the side patio and play bags/corn hole, or enjoy the pretty good people watching. It's an eclectic crowd.

I have been in for brunch, and while I'm a brunch nut, I think there are better places to go on 17th and save this spot for lunch or dinner.

I saw older reviews mention they are beer only at the bar. They now offer wine and cocktails as well, so drink up!

As mentioned 90 billion times before, cash or check only.

I wish neighborhood joints like this were found all over the world! With a wide variety of beer, great food and an awesome atmosphere, it's impossible not to like this place.

I was looking for a casual spot to catch up with an old friend and couldn't have found anything better than their airy patio on a cool summer evening. Our waitress was knowledgeable of all the beers and led me to the perfect choice. All of the food sounded great and I settled on a half salad and sandwich that fit my appetite.

Everyone walking by was constantly checking on us to make sure we were happy. As you can probably tell from excessive use of positive adjectives "awesome, great, perfect, etc," I'd just say you should go here for a good time.

    WOW!

This was my favorite stop on 10-day Colorado brewery road trip. The beers were tasty (available in an 8oz size, as well as the standard 16oz), service was the best in the biz and the food was delicious!

I love soups and chilis, but do not like spicy foods. So, our wonderful waitress offered to bring me a sample of the chili, so I could determine the level of spiciness. There was some heat, but just as much as you would expect in any reasonable chili. I had along with a half spinach salad (HUGE). My husband had the green chili enchilada. He loved it and it was also HUGE.

Vine Street Pub has cornhole as well as books and games for patrons to play. How fun!

If I were to move to Denver, I would be here every week.

FYI- THEY ONLY TAKE CASH. BE PREPARED. Although, the staff is super polite about the fact most people don't know about their cash only policy.

Oh hey there fresh beer, food and cornhole (or bags, whatever you want to call it).  I tend to avoid Vine street because they are cash only but I sucked it up, hit the ATM and met friends for a good time.

It's a brewery so plan on trying something new, or tell the waiter what you usually like and they will try to find something comprable.  I ordered the salmon special, I know I know, don't order seafood in CO if the place doesn't specialize in it.  I took the chance and was well rewarded; a little crispy on the outside and moist inside, just the way I like it. We were enjoying the beer so much we headed outside to play cornhole on the sidewalk.  Gotta love a bar with games.

How have I not reviewed Vine Street yet?!  This is one of my favorite places in Denver.  The food is amazing, the service is ridiculously friendly, and the beers are all always delicious.

I've probably ordered almost everything on the menu at least once.  And I LOVE every single thing.  There hasn't been one time that I've thought, "Eh, I should have gotten something else."  The buffalo chicken sandwich is to die for.  The basil and blue burger is as good as it gets.  I was ecstatic (in italics) when the steak sandwich featured as an occasional special was so popular it was permanently added to the menu!  Upgrades to fries or salad are extra- most orders come with tortilla chips- which aren't bad to soak up whatever is left on your plate, but their fries really are amazing.

Brunch is also plate-licking good.  The challah french toasties I once ordered were quite possibly the best breakfast I've ever had.    The $8 bottomless mimosas are a great deal, but no one will judge if you order a beer here at 11am.

Service is always attentive and friendly.

The wait can sometimes be a little long if you come around dinner time, because it's just that good.  The patio is popular, so it's sometimes a good 45 minute wait.  No worries though, occasionally they have free fries out to tide you over.  You can also play cornhole and make some new friends while you wait.  And if you forgot to bring cash with you, now is the time to hit up the ATM (only $1 charge to withdraw) because they don't take cards.

And if for some reason, you forget your checkbook, cash, etc and have no way of paying, they'll give you a Karma envelope.  No questions asked, they just hand it to you with the attitude, "Just pay us whenever you can!"  Seriously, who else does that?!  Last time I asked, they said they've never had someone not send in the money.  I guess cause everyone knows Karma will come around to bite them if they don't fork up the cash :)

If you've never been, I suggest checking it out for lunch.  It will impress you enough to make you want to come back for dinner, no matter how long the wait is.

We had a wonderful lunch at Vine Street Pub. It was a bit spontaneous.  We were thinking of grabbing a bite for lunch and remembered we drove by Vine Street a couple of nights before.  The draw was we could eat, but also try some beer; which was a bonus since we were trying to visit lots of breweries this go around.

I've seen this location change from when we were still lived in town.  We'd come hang out with friends and even started out our bachelor/bachelorette party here eighteen years ago.  I digress, but being back here made me happy.  What makes me even happier is good food and tasty craft beer.

We opted to sit on the patio; anytime I can enjoy a meal outside and have shade it's a good thing.  I couldn't believe how many beers were on tap!  I was a tad overwhelmed, but our wonderful waiter told me to pick a few and he would bring some samples.  We sampled three and decided to get a glass of the Java Porter.  I have been digging porters lately, and I enjoyed the coffee taste of this brew.

I loved the menu at Vine Street Pub.  It's a bit creative with the sandwiches and there are nice options for the veggie folks.  My husband and I were looking for something lite so we went meat free and got a Grilled Cheese and an Avocado & Cheese Sandwich.  Plenty of food that left us quiet satisfied.  While we were enjoying lunch our lovely waiter brought over two more beer samples he thought we should try; how cool was that.

I'm thrilled when I have such an enjoyable meal.  The beer was fantastic, the food was good, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was wonderful.  This was a great way to go on a Saturday afternoon.

Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer.  This was the best bar for beer on my recent Colorado trip.  Sooooo delicious.

On their special menu they had one of my favorite breweries, Lost Abbey, beer on tap.  We can't get Lost Abbey beer in Texas.  I was a very happy gal.

This is why you should check out their special beers they have on rotation.  You will find some really great stuff!  The food at Vine Street is actually pretty great for bar food.  As everybody states Vine Street Pub is always crowded with people.  That is always a good sign.  If I lived in Denver Vine Street Pub would be a big hang-out spot for me.

Of course, as everybody reminds us, CASH ONLY.

Went here recently for my gf's bday party and had a good time.  Food was good and the assortment of local beer was better than most.  We had 7 people in our party and had let them know ahead of time we were coming so they were able to seat us very quickly.  Our waitstaff was kind of hit and miss, disappearing for long intervals in between visits until we flagged them down to let them know we were ready to order.  Drink-wise, they were on top of things and were very knowledgeable of their craft beers.

It did get rather warm for everyone as the air circulation wasn't the best but it had rained a little prior to our arrival so the humidity was up too.  Probably didn't help that we were smack in the middle of the restaurant either as opposed to near the patio.

Overall, good experience. Everyone in our party was happy and everyone's food looked very tasty!  Our party had everything from the burgers to a burrito to a bowl of chili (huge bowl I must say!) and no one had any complaints about each meal.  Definitely will have to try other menu options upon returning as they have some rather appealing choices.

***Note that this is a cash and local check ONLY establishment before you arrive.  Didn't see if they had an ATM on site

DO NOT ORDER THE NACHOS!!!! Super gross and that makes me super sad. Seriously, how difficult are nachos to make? They are not particularly complicated to make, nor pricey so I'm really disappointed at the product I received.

Our orders came out and mine was the largest. The plate was piled high with about a bag of chips. Then about a can of black beans, a small amount of cheese (it was very elusive on the plate), a small dollop of sour cream, about a 1/3 of a jalapeno minced up and finally (the worst) a can of stewed tomatoes with abit of thyme (maybe?) mixed in as their "salsa". It was disgusting. Seriously about $4 of crap ingredients for $11 and be totally disgusting. It is amazing that this passes as quality.

I give this review two stars, even though this experienced dictates none based on this visits food experience. I give it two stars for the beer choice, and the awesome waitstaff, who was kind enough to remove the nachos from our bill, a gesture that was appreciated. I will likely go back because other experiences hare have been much better and I will say that their wings are pretty tasty.

Vine Street Pub is my go-to favorite place in Denver.  I make sure all of my out of town guests are exposed to this place at least once during their time in Denver.

Yes, you may have to wait for a table but it's worth it.  An added bonus is if the wait is long, they will often offer a free beer and/or fries while you wait.

Fist off, lets talk about the staff.  Super friendly and accommodating.  I have yet, in  many visits, to have a poor experience from the staff. They get to know you and are welcoming when you return.  Some have complained about the multiple waitstaff philosophy at Mountain Sun businesses, but I think it works well,  The staff at Vine Street work in all aspects of the pub, from bar tending to waiting tables to host station to the kitchen.

Now for the beer.  They have their standard wide selection of home brews and seasonal brews throughout the year.  I have yet to have a "bad" beer here.   My favorite is the Old School Irish Stout.  They are liberal with samples so you don't have to commit to a full pint just to find out it doesn't flow well over your tongue.  They also have 4 taps or so dedicated to visiting brews, which is a nice touch.  While I love their brews, it's nice to try a different offering from time to time.

The food....heavenly!  The SOB Burger is excellent.  Just the right amount of heat with bold flavors.  The blackened chicken sandwich is so good, I don't even have words to describe it.  The blackened chicken quesadilla is HUGE.  The fries, let me tell you about the fries....just like we used to make at home when I was a kid.  They are like the fries you get down the shore back east, fresh cut and fried up perfectly.  The wings have been voted Best In Denver by Westword the last 3 years for a reason.  They are the BEST!!  I will not order wings anywhere else now.  If you ask for them "Tim's Style", they will put them on the grill after frying and saucing them to give them an added crispness and extra smoky flavor.  OMG!!!  SOOOOOO  Good!!!!

Every Sunday night they have free music or comedy acts.  February was stout month and there was a spirited mutton chop competition.  Last summer they had their first block party that was enjoyed by many.  There's always something exciting upcoming at Vine Street.  Gotta credit Tim and Paul for keeping things exciting.
