Ok...for all the whiners reviewing this place....any place called "Waffle House" is not gonna be fine dining.  It is, however, your usual breakfast food with some Hoosier flair.  The food is good, of course not fine dining...it's breakfast food.  But if you like eggs and bacon and cheap coffee and biscuits its good. And you'll get a bit of a cultural experience out of it all, especially if you go late at night...It's open 24/7!

Kinda pricey for being this much of a dump. The food is ok, comes out of the kitchen pretty quick.

Good after a night out drinking.  Never been there during the day.

Service was slow, food was extremely mediocre.  Nothing like real Waffle Houses.

One good thing, the coffee keeps on coming.

I cannot stop laughing when I think of this restaurant. When I was an undergrad, my boyfriend and I were frequent customers there. Waitresses were the nicest people, I must tell. The food was just average.
But there was one night that I will remember for a long time. It was after 12AM when we decided to have dinner there. When we came in, there was just an old white couple sitting at a far table. Suddenly, I hear they say to each other in a loud manner: "Look, chinks just came."
Haha, yes, we look Asian, and that was the only time we encoutered such a warm, hearty greeting :-)
But if you don't care much about the restaurant's vibe and surrounding atmosphere, and just want to feed your hunger, go for it.

Wouldn't order anything other than breakfast...If you do it usually comes cold and congealed. Staff is friendly, but there are definitely better places to spend your time and money.

Such a piece of shit restaurant.

NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the famous WAFFLE HOUSE CHAIN.  This is the Waffle House Family Restaurant of Indiana, Inc. (check out the sign)

Here, they dish up overpriced, low quality slop.

I used to eat here as a freshman in college because it was the only 24-hour egg place we knew about.  Let me tell you, there's a whole world of better egg joints out there.

Not nearly as close to the action, but half the price with twice the smiles is Cloverleaf Family Restaurant.

    Best features:
    Free wifi
    Bottomless coffee
    No rush to leave
Interesting mix of locals -- interesting enough to make some notes in my "character file".  Lots of old people when we were there.
Food is ok.  We had eggs, toast, and a pecan waffle. It was nice that they warmed up the syrup
    Waitress was nice.

    Worst features:
Interesting women's bathroom -- two toilets, no divider? That's togetherness.
Antique interior, but not of an era anyone's wanting to remember.  I'd say late seventies.

Best drunk food in town. Open 24 hrs, and within walking distance of all the bars. Greasy, filling and reasonably priced. Service has always been good. Bizarre mixture of drunk college kids and night owl townies. Biscuits and gravy are awesome.

This place has decent breakfast for a decent price. It's really nothing special, but from what I've had before it's better than Denny's (Bigger portions for a little less). If you don't like Bloomington water (If you've lived there, you know what I mean), stay away from the tea and water, last time I checked they didn't filter!
