Walker's Speakeasy

Wow. It's September. Smoking was banned in bars since May. You would think that the inside of a bar would air out in 4 months, but inside this dive, it's like nothing has changed.

What used to be the old folks dancin' hangout is now called Walkers Speakeasy. It was on a Thursday and we were two of the 6 people in the place (including the staff). The place reeked of ashtrays but we wanted to try the place so we say down at the bar, ordered a beer and a burger.

I knew it, I heard a metalic scrape over my shoulder that sounded like a lighter flint. Looking over at the guy at the end of the bar, he  just lit up a smoke. Since the health department inspects for ash trays, none were available. So the next best thing was the floor - and the ashes settled at the lowest gravitational state possible.

After the first beer was consumed, the burger made it on the plate and landed in front of me. I've got to tell you, this place is a dive,no question. That burger was one of the best tasting burgers I've had in a long time.

If the place didn't stink like stamped out cigarette butt, I'd give this place a much higher rating. The drinks were reasonalbly priced, the menu simple bar food and priced well. The bartender was personable and attentive.
