It's unreal how rude the staff here is. Â No matter what time a day I go here, it's always the same. Â They refuse to repeat your order to you (it's wrong every time). They don't tell you what your total is after you order, then sit there and act like you're wasting their time when you're getting your money together. Â If you told me my total at the speaker, I wouldn't be counting my money at the window, stupid.

I return to this location time and time again for the Community Fund Night but wow, I have to say the staff are terribly rude. No smile, no welcome. It is also ONE staff again for a very long line. I also found out that they have not kept their promise of giving 15% proceed to the organization I was trying to support-- SINCE last year-- not a single check. Why do the organization and visitors keep coming back here then?? Something is terribly wrong.
By the way, their restrooms? Oh my. No matter how badly I had to use it after eating two of their burgers, I stayed very far away from the restroom. There's no one cleaning them.
Well, most of these reviews are pretty accurate. The woman who took our order gave us the worst service I have ever received in my life. The exchange went as follows: Me: "Can I have two small fries, a small chocolate frosty, a medium chocolate frosty..." Angry lady: "Okay, next window" ... Me: "Actually I want more things... can I have a crispy chicken sandwich.." Angry lady: "That completes your order. Next window." No exaggeration necessary. And our frosties were half way full so we asked to have them filled to the top and she referenced "corporate" being responsible for their strict frosty filling policy. "It's not us, it's corporate!" You've got to be fucking kidding me, lady. How is she still employed?
Never again will I go here.
This was my first and last time to this Wendy's. The women who took our order was extremely rude, and got our order wrong. The food they gave us was horrible. The chicken nuggets I got were hard as a rock, and they were mixed spicy and regular. We didn't get the salad dressing we asked for twice. The chili was cold and just nasty. I am utterly horrified that this place is still open. This place needs to be shut down!

I absolutely hate it when I have a frosty craving- because this is the closest wendy's to my house. The staff just sucks, they are rude, and obviously hate their life (if I worked at Wendy's I would too). Just dont go there- there is a McDonald's down the street, which is  A LITTLE better.
Review Source:Suffice it to say, the staff acts extremely stereotypical of their demographic - and the floors and tables are perpetually dirty (i.e. refuse on the carpet, etc). I've found the ladies' bathroom to be hygenically hit or miss, with no mirror whatsoever.
I don't drive, but always see cars pulled over, waiting for drive-thru orders (even during non-peak times).
Yet the food is fine, as expected...ha, I reviewed Wendy's.
Avoid this place at all costs. Â The staff is THE WORST!!!! The last time i was there we ordered a couple jr bacon cheeseburgers and nuggets(a seemingly normal order) we were asked to pull up to a parking spot and wait. Understandable if anyone was behind us but alas there was not. Â In the 10 minutes we waited an orkin man was pounding on the door demanding to be let in. If we hadn't already paid we would have been long gone. Â

Except if I'm driving past THIS one. Let me tell you, if wendy's corporate reads this:WORST WENDY'S EXPERIENCE EVER! This happened about a year ago, and even though I drive past this wendy's twice a week, I've NEVER since even thought about going in again.
First I ordered a #4 with regular fries, and when I got the receipt I realized they charged me for the sandwich and fries separately as if they weren't a meal, so ended up paying $0.75 more. Whatever, wasn't worth fussing about. I was ordering through the drive through. When we started going through the food, I realized the forgot to give me the fies all together. Then I realized my coke was a diet. Trust me, I can DEFINTIELY tell the difference. So we turned around, and I actually come IN, and ask for the manager. I told her that if it was ONE of these things, I would have just shrugged, but all these things together was too much. I said I wanted $0.75 back, and a REGULAR coke, and my fries. Not being hostile, just told them what needs to happen to correct their mistake in a totally polite straightforward manner. The manager comes over and starts rolling her eyes, and giving me attitude, then tells me she can't refund me because I didn't say "MEAL" when I ordered. I said "#4 with regular fries" obviously want the g.d. meal. Then she takes a swig of the drink and says "no, that's regular" and ceremoniously throws it in the garbage, and pours me another one. Then hands me my fries in the most hap-hazard way possible, pretty much shoving them at me, and says "Is that IT?!" I said, I'd still like you to give me my $0.75 back because obviously if somebody orders the sandwich AND the fires they want the "meal". And she totally goes off on me says "I can't refund you! It's already been rung up. You should have said 'meal'! If you didn't say 'meal' then that's how we charge it!" Â
So I'm walking out of there, steaming, and I don't even know what came over me, but the next thing I knew I was whipping the coke she just poured me at the door behind me. It smacked against their entrance with a big splash, and the staff all glanced at me and just went back to doing their thing as if nothing happened, as if this kind of thing happens here all the time. So I got into my car and drove off, and will NEVER return to that Wendy's.
Wendy's is my favorite fast food chain...the only one I will eat at out of choice instead of sheer hunger induced desperation. That said... yesterday I was on my way home from work and decided to grab a quick meal because I hadn't ate much and was now starving. Was hoping that this location would be okay since CPS were on spring break and wouldn't be filled with loud high students.
Well the students weren't there but they had been replaced by loud and shrieking workers. I stood in line for a really long time while the staff chatted, laughed, hugged each other and did everything but pay attention to their jobs. I finally left because at the pace the manager was setting for her crew I could still be there waiting.
Sorry Wendy's....corporate has to someday clean up this location. I can only think that they rely on the Lane Tech  lunch crowds and don't care about  the rest of the day.
I don't know why I'm bothering to review a fast-food restaurant, but it's more of a primal scream exercise than a bashing.
This place, like many Wendy's, completely sucks. The fries here always suck, which is partly the corporate fault for the design of the fries, partly inept cooking.
Every time you go here your sandwich will get fucked up. Whatever you ask for on the toppings you will just get the normal sandwich. My favorite story from here is when they introduced the new bacon-sandwich and I couldn't resist. So I walked over, got one made with the person making it less than five feet away, and when I got home - you guessed it, no bacon. That's the kind of crap you can expect for your hard-earned dollar here. When I called over to talk to the manager just to see what she'd say, she said they couldn't give me a new sandwich if I didn't bring back the old one. I said I ate it already and would settle for her scolding of the prep employee.
The only thing I get here is the chicken nuggets. They're tough to screw up and I won't accept cold ones so they're safe in my book.
Wow did they have awful chicken nuggets. Â I don't know if Wendy's chicken nuggets all suck, or if this place did something wrong. Â But I was drunk and starving, and yet these were so awful I couldn't eat them.
The spicy chicken wrap is no where near as good as the spicy chicken sandwich. Â I guess they want to encourage people to buy the more expensive one. Â I love the spicy chicken sandwich, but that wrap was terrible.
I should have stuck with my normal spicy chicken sandwich and a frosty!
This Wendy's is totally for YOU of you like:
1) Incompetent workers
2) Being asked to repeat your order until you're out of breath
3) Waiting a long time
4) Lukewarm-to-cold and soggy food
5) Your order to be wrong despite saying it clearly multiple times into the loudspeaker
6) Laughing at a clear failure of such a large corporation
7) Getting no response from said corporation when you write them about how bad one particular location of theirs is
It's better than fast food.. it's a farce!

I know what you're thinking... just go back and make them fix it. Â But I thought I might flip on the unsuspecting high school staff, and they've already got it bad enough. Â At least our drinks were right.
I realize that my rating (and opinion) goes against the greater trend, but my experiences have been alright.
I'll can agree on points of compentency at times; I've witnessed manager-questioning myself. Â (I found it to be humorous.) Â Every time I've dealt with them, it may have been pained, but they were polite. Â Almost an out-of-the-way polite, which is more than I can say of other fast food locales. Â
The food has been consistently good, and other than the windowed area being chilly almost to the point of me calling it drafty (which it isn't- I didn't feel any breezes,) I just can't complain. Â
I wish everyone's experience was more pleasant, but...
This place always has a kitchen full of people running around but it seems like nothing is getting done. I'm not sure what they are doing back there but it is obvious that they don't either. I am glad to see I'm not the only one that has noticed the lack of cleanliness and service provided at this Wendy's. However I did eat there today and when I ordered the well marketed Gourmet Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger the cashier laughed at me. he proceeds to tell me that it is an  awful sandwich. I was caught off guard with this comment but still in the mood for what I ordered, so I told him that I would still like to try it. He continues laughing at me and tells me good luck. REALLY??? What the hell? Do they even interview these people? FYI, The Gourmet Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger was actually pretty good, there was nothing GOURMET about it but it was satisfactory for a fast food burger.

If I want to give you exact change, that is exactly what I am going to do. GOT IT.
My fries were colder than a dead persons' finger tips and the hamburgers most definitely had fallen on the floor a couple of times. Good thing I scrapped them and if I didn't have somewhere to be I would have gone in and punched that 'manager' in her stank-ass attitude.
I am glad I didn't go back in there because I most surely would have been arrested for assault. I have never been spoken to like that and not smacked someone for it.
Reasons for my one-star review:
-They have screwed up my order (especially in the drive-thru) so many times I can't count.
-It's always crowded with Lane Tech students.
-It's usually FREEZING in there.
-90% of the time I have to clean off a table to sit at.
-It's only Wendy's, when it's crappy just avoid it-it's nothing special.
This Wendy's can't keep workers who care. There are some people who do their best but the overall level barely reaches competence. A family joke on the drive-thru is that we should just give them an amount and they can pick the food they give to us. We got some fries tonite that were sour! I called from home to inform/complain - no explanation or apology. This is our neighborhood Wendy's and I go there once a year, swearing I will never return.

Slow a$$ ladies working the drive through Effed up our order soo bad, they had to take back food they packed and give us things they forgot in the bad. NOTE to anyone going here. DO NOT LEAVE untill you check your bags. Thank goodness we did, or we would have been jacked 2 chicken nuggets, a sandwich and straws for our drinks. SPEAKING of drinks. I orderd a BIGGIE drink cause I was gonna share with the kids today! The FREAKIN ENTIRED cup was filled to the RIM with ice. The pop was probably equivelent to a child's size...and ALL ICE. I was so pissed, but didn't realize this situation till we were back on the road. What's the point of ordering a big drink, when it's all ice. Â Badly labeled burgers left us opening them all and figuring out which one was the bacon cheeseburgers, double stacks or cheeseburger deluxes. Fries in the box.....barely anything I would consider a FULL order! Skimpy!
BUT...when it's all said and done.....Wendy's food itself is 5 stars...I just took away three for the obnoxious incompetent workers , the poorly filled drinks and fries....and just the fact that this place is a nightmare when the LANE kids are out. Don't even bother going to this place during lunchtime on a school weekday!!
This Wendy's sucks so very much. You could go to a fancy French restaurant and have an entire 5 course meal delivered to you in the time it takes to get a single hamburger here. And they are constantly out of stuff. Cups, hamburger toppings, buns, etc. And you'll probably be sassed 7 or 8 times by a local teenager who doesn't want to be there and is legally protected from the back of your hand. But what are you going to do it's still a Wendy's, it's delicious.

I don't THINK so honey! Â Everytime I go to this Wendy's (or ANY Wendy's) I am usually there a good 20 minutes before I get out of there with my food. Â Half the time they are out of the salad I want so I have to spend an extra few minutes figuring out what else I can get which makes for a sad Countess :(. Â And I will agree with everyone else who has reviewed here that the drive-thru service sucks with a capital SUCK. Â Is it so damn hard to remember to give me exactly what I ordered on the receipt? Â That's WHEN I get the receipt *sigh*.
Three stars for it being:
1) Walking distance from my house
2) Reasonably friendly, but slow staff
3) Tasty salads and cheap ass dollar menu items
P.S. I seriously LOL'ed at whoever voted for "Formal (Jacket Required)" attire.
Why does this Wendy's have to be so freaking complicated?  Drive through  orders perpetually messed up, it is filthy at all hours with ravenous and surly Lane Tech students and, worst of all, nearly impossible to escape from whether North or South bound on Western.
You had better have one serious Frosty craving before you come here ~ this Wendy's thinks you're it's bitch. Â True story.
Okay. It's fast-food, so 4-stars would be my limit. And I LOVE wendy's, so I would normally go with the 4 on something like this. However, I have no idea how many times they have messed up my order when I hit the drive through. When I get nuggets, they forget my BBQ sauce. When I ordered my burger with no tomato and no pickles, they inevitably forget at least one of them.
Here's a tip if you are driving there. If when leaving, you plan on going Eastbound on Addison, it can be difficult to get into the turn lane as Wendy's is practically on the NE corner of the intersection. I recommend turning on your left turn signal and waiting for the Southbound Western light to turn red. People will then stop to let you turn left, and simply slip through and shoot into the turn lane.
3 stars may seem generous for a Wendy's, and this review is based mainly on their breakfast, and the fact that's it's 1/2 a block from my house. I don't love fast food, however the staff inside at this particular Wendy's are quick and nice.
The drive thru however is awful and they always eff up every order.
I'm not sure how they manage that.
Never go to this Wendy's unless you want cold chicken nuggets loosely floating around the bag with an empty upside-down cardboard container, half-wrapped sandwiches so that cheese and grease get all over everything, and meat that has the texture and temperature of beef jerky fresh out of the bag. Seriously this Wendy's is terrible.
I usually love Wendy's but this place brings fast-food to a new low.
