The Wheelhouse

Clayton was way overdue for a sports bar big enough to actually enjoy yourself- and we finally have a winner!  Not only does the Wheelhouse provide a fun environment to watch ANY game (30 something flat screens?), but the food far surpasses any typical bar food menu.

Although burgers have been off my radar for awhile, all I've heard since Wheelhouse opened is how great they really are.... Couldn't agree more!  I ordered the Wheelhouse Burger that was cooked to perfection (slightly pink for me!).  Definitely turned my opinion around on eating cheeseburgers again and super excited about it.  I wanted to try the goat cheese burger, but since I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms it probably wouldn't be the same.  I've heard a lot about that one as well- so I'm hoping someone I know will order it next time.

The nachos are unbeatable and can feed a whole table easily.  I would veer away from the usual chicken fingers and wraps here, as they specialize in the burger and entrees (the mac and cheese!!!!)

Also, can't forget their crafted cocktails- the Wheelade was my favorite, but I will say it was pretty sweet. So if you can't handle sweet drinks, stop by on a Wednesday night where they have $1 beers---- Drink Specials in Clayton are hard to come by.

Terrible! Food was not very good at all! Rockfella  spinach shrimp dip was AWFUL! Told waiter and he didn't even acknowledge it. Did he not see that the plate was only missing 2 pieces of the bread for two people? Ordered drinks and never once was asked if we wanted another round. Both glasses were empty less than half way through the meal. Would never go back.

I had a side salad for $3 and a half order of the Classic Nacho Platter for lunch for $8.  The nachos were ginormous, and I didn't even get halfway through it as my meal before I had to turn it over to the table to finish off.  Just a huge, huge portion for a half order.

Needless to say I didn't get to touch my side salad, which they kindly boxed up for me.

My male friends commented on seeing so many hot servers.  But I'll just point out that our server was very friendly and prompt.

They had some unique drink/shot offerings, but I'll stay at 3 starts for now until I've tried more.
