Late night on a Friday, hungry! Â Pulled up to Roxane and grabbed a seat on their sidewalk patio. Â We arrived at 10:15, kitchen closed at 10p. Â Guess what, they let us order! Â That was so nice of them. Â Of course, deep down I was concerned about getting cold and old food, but that wasn't the case. Â We kept is simple with nachos and empanadas and I was pleased to see that both of them tasted great and were hot and fresh! Â There was a dj playing music and the sounds were great. Â A nice ending to a long Friday! Â Oh and my Vodka Gimlet was on point as well!
Review Source:Food was great, service was lacking. The food was cooked well and enjoyable. I had a side salad and 4 oz filet with red wine reduction and garlic mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked correctly and the sauce was delicious and reasonably priced at $11.99. (They had an 8oz option available for $18.99). My friends both had the sea bass and said it was very good. Â Dessert was delicious we split the butter brownie and bread pudding.
The service was very slow. I had to ask for a water refill twice. During our meal the server came up, interrupted our conversation by saying "Hey do you want more wine" all three of us looked at our glasses, he was probably talking to me as I was the closest to finished but we all declined not 10% sure who he was even talking to. He forgot to put in our dessert order, we had one member of our group who was going to the airport, we ordered the cobbler and he informed us it took about 20 minutes, we changed our order because we didn't have that much time. It took 25 minutes to get our dessert that was supposed to be the fast option since we were running out of time, I can only imagine had we gotten the cobbler she would have missed her flight.
I would go back again for the food but would have to think twice due to the service, maybe it is better on a busier night.
