Any bar that has continuous live music throughout the day and has beer specials already earns some stars with me.  This watering hole right outside the immediate scope  of the Stockyards is great and serves beer for about $2 less than other spots on the drag.  We were naturally drawn to the mix of bluegrass, country, roadhouse and other local vibe that came streaming out of Whiskey Girl Saloon Saturday afternoon.  Not only was there live acoustic guitar being played outside on the patio, but inside was a completely separate band, all of them really talented and entertaining.  The staff was friendly and again the pricing was on point.  For $7 (less than two beers across from the Stockyards which came out to $8) we had two Lone Stars and a vodka cocktail.  If we could of stayed longer we would have finished our night here.  If you have never been here, please note Fort Worth still permits smoking inside restaurants and bars, so expect you will walk out smelling like an ashtray in these parts.  If you are adamant about not smelling sour, hang out on the open patio.
