After reading other reviews about Pearls I wondered if I had been to the same place or if some of them had been posted by Pearls themselves just to promote the business. Yes, Pearls may be an icon of an old fashioned saloon but its not all roses. Sure if you want to get cheap booze on Wed and put up with lots of drunks and thick cigarette smoke it may be your kind of place. The person who bragged about the dance floor must be smoking the wrong weed. Pearls tiny floor is widely known as the worst in town. Its actually about 5 inches higher at one end and lower at the end where the band is. It's worn out plywood that has not seen any fixing up that I can see since the place opened. The place may have character but it also has a lot of  broken fixtures, dirty stained curtains and tons of chairs and stools that wobble. The music is good old fashioned honky tonk country but its so loud that you can't have a conversation without screaming. Also, its really odd that when the band takes a break that they place don't play music so you can keep dancing if you want. On the rare moments that I have heard music playing during the bands break it was so quiet as to be about like elevator music. Any other dance place in town keeps music  going even when the band is on break. Not at Pearls. There is no room to walk about without running into people and the dance floor is very small and when crowded is a hazard just to get around without drunk people crashing into you. Ask people who have been there what they think of the floor. It's horrible, rough and unpleasant UNLESS you are drunk out of your mind and just don't care. This review is accurate and honest. There are many people who are seeking a new alternative to Wednesday night dancing because Pearls is just not what many people want. The management is allergic to fixing the place up, cleaning and paying any attention to its customers.
Review Source:Yee-haw! I love this bar.
We go on Wednesday nights when there are hump day specials ($2 for just about any kind of drink: well, beer, margaritas) and a talented live band.
The crowd is super friendly and some of the ladies are kind enough to share steps to the dancing moves for us beginner country western dancers who need a helpful pointer or two. It's a great time, even if country western doesn't seem like your thing.
I don't think I can rave enough about how awesome this place is. You'll just have to come check it out for yourself.
