Quintessential underground lounge. Dim lighting, chandeliers, cool sign, good seating/floor space, red booth couches line the walls. Drapey curtains around the stage. Came by on a Wednesday night  but we were also here for major bands with major crowds, so I am not sure if it is always this rocking. Loved the atmosphere but not the smoke.
Review Source:I loved everything about the Basement Bar! Â It is actually a pretty big place, which you don't really realize from the sidewalk. Â RIDICULOUS specials-best prices in the Stockyards area. Â We had a great bartender that kept our drinks full-she was so quick that I thought the full beer in front of me was still my empty bottle! Â We stopped in during the day but we would've loved to stay all night!
Review Source:I'm not usually a patron of the Stockyards in Fort Worth so I was skeptical when my friends told me to meet them. Turns out, it was a pretty cool bar filled with all walks of life. Really, from biker guy, to sorority girl, to cowboys...all are welcomed here. Apparently there are burlesque shows (I came a few minutes late and missed it), and when I got to the bar there was a pretty good selection of music to dance to. Honestly I'd probably go there more if it wasn't so smoky. I think of all bars I've gone to in the Stockyards, this one is the least "country". I also dig that it's really in a basement. Cheap drinks, always a win.
