Flying Saucer Draught Emporium

The Flying Saucer is the land of Milk and Honey...or in my case, Blood and Honey.  I have been a patron of this establishment for over 7 years now.  Back in the old location and now in the new location.

I am constantly amazed by the huge beer selection.  I have tried probably 30 different brews here so I need to get my butt in gear and join their club so I can get a Big Golden Saucer on the Wall.  I already have my quote picked out "I came, I drank and I realized this Saucer portrays me as an alcoholic"

I have always been a fan of their Beer Cheese Soup.  It is a bit spicy and it's served in a bread bowl that is awesome.  Their bratwurst plate is also top notch.

On a recent visit, a few people and myself had just finished participating in the Urban Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt and decided to celebrate finishing in 19th place by having some beers and food.  I tried the Revolver Blood & Honey Draft and I fell in love.  I am actually kind of neutral on beer.  I don't drink it often and I actually prefer a good red wine to a beer any day, but this was the beer that was made specifically for my taste buds.  Heaven on Earth.

I am moving to downtown Ft Worth in a couple months and will be a 5 mintue walk away from the Saucer and I couldn't be happier.

Waitstaff is friendly, efficient and the beer and food is consistently consistent.  HIghly recommended.

Turkey meltdown! delish.  The bread was soft.  Which usually i dont like la baccia type bread.  Tried the soft pretzels. good! But after half of one.  It just became Ok. Very soft and doughy.  Tried the rocket tots.  Flavorless and not cheesy. But this is great to try out new beer without needing to buy a six pack!!! But beware. very obnoxious drunk people!

...update from my previous review. We go at the flying saucer often regardless how horrible their service is (was).... I am happy to say that things are changing for the best, the new waitres Kandell is great, attandts to the guests right away, knowledge of the beer specials, very friendly and has a beautiful hair color (had to mention that)
