The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

This was our first time to visit The Keg, and we were satisfied the whole way around.  Our steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were wonderful, and we were even given a free dessert because it was our first visit.  You really get a lot for your money.  Most nicer steak houses do not throw in a salad, veggie, and a side with your steak.  They do, and are very reasonably priced for what you get.  

The hostesses were all very polite and quick to greet us, our server Cornelio was AWESOME!  He recommended a great wine, was extremely warm and friendly the entire time, and always made sure we were taken care of.  He was always smiling and just genuinely friendly.  This was some of the best service we have ever had over all.  From the hostesses, to the server, the bus boys, and the manager that came by to make sure everything was perfect.  They really have customer service down.  

We will definitely be returning to The Keg in Ft Worth, as well as tell our friends about it.

While it's location leaves a bit to be desired (parking lot / strip mall adjoining a Home Depot), the Keg is a great choice when you're in the mood for an excellent steak at a reasonable price.  I'm all for a night at Morton's when you're on an expense account, but I go to the Keg when it's on my own dime.

I highly recommend the Baseball steak, paired with the twice baked potato (which comes with it, no a la carte nonsense here).  The side salads are sizeable and tasty, and come in around $6 or $7, again pretty reasonable.  

They have a good kids menu that includes mini burgers, steak ($16, but it's a real steak and comes with a side), chix fingers, etc.

We came in as a family of four and had a great meal for $95, excluding alcohol.  Our waiter was a gem as well, a very nice guy who also works as a 5th grade teacher.  

We'll be back!

All my life I have never liked steak.  Until I came to the Keg.  I got the filet mignon (which I've had before at other restaurants) and it was the best steak I've ever had in my life.  I highly recommend.  The service is fantastic.  The first time we were there they gave us free dessert and welcomed us with open arms.  Love the ambiance too.
