Embargo

Cool little spot.  Cuban sandwiches were very good.  It was authentic and the service was good.  La cubana sandwich is my recommendation if you like mustard.

Awesome sandwiches.  The Dominicana and Mexicana are fantastic.

From the spot-on Mojitos to the delicious Cuban Press sandwiches, Embargo is also a fabulously hidden gem of a music venue. On one occasion, with friends in town, we stumbled in to find The Jazz Monsters, playing great Big Band tunes. We danced and drank and felt transported to a romantic past. Also, a few months ago, they had an underattended but brilliant performance from the free jazz genius of Yells at Eels.
