Pros: This sports bar, which is on the lower level of the Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center, has got to be a dude's best friend. There is a huge flat screen TV showcasing several channels, in front of a plethora of couches, cushioned chairs, tables and more. There are typical places to sit at a table or at the bar.

Cons: I only wanted a salad so I had the BBQ Chicken Salad. Everything except the chicken was good. Chicken was super super dry. Never had such dry chicken in my life. The salad would have been better without the chicken period.

Tip: If you want to look at their menu online, you have to go to the Marriott Gaylord Hotel and Convention website and look at their dining section. There will be links to PDF menus to all their restaurants on the right. This link may also work: <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.marriott.com%2Fhotels%2Fhotel-information%2Frestaurant%2Fmcogp-gaylord-palms-resort-and-convention-center%2F%3Fsource%3DGP%257C%257Credirect%257CGenL%257C%257C%257Cwww.gaylordpalms.com%2Fwreckers&s=96bd82c7bbb24af338b110dfc78598f28cab0988d6472f3e243c57e50f3282c8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.marriott.com/…</a>

There isn't much to say about Wrecker's other than it's a fun and friendly sport's bar in the Gaylord Palms Orlando. They have friendly staff, a good beer selection, decent burgers and wings, and a whole lot of televisions. If you find yourself hungry in the Gaylord Palms, Wrecker's is your best bet.

Just remember that you're eating in a nice hotel so don't expect dive bar prices.

If I weren't trapped at the resort would I recommend dining here? Uh no. Don't get me wrong. If you're trapped at the resort, it's a decent place to grab a beer or two, watch a game and nosh on some mediocre chicken wings ($14) and fries. However, if you have the option to eat elsewhere, I say go for it.

Our waiter was cranky (overwhelmed perhaps?!) and slow. $7 pretzel appetizer was over-baked and I feared for my dentition. $15 hamburger was so-so and didn't live up to the menu description (PS - good job, creative writing major who crafted the descriptions). $14 roasted beet salad was over dressed more canned than roasted. $5 fries were limp.

Ok, so not everything was awful. The giant TV is pretty awesome, as is the seating area in front of it. The ability to take your beer and walk out the front door with it to sit outside is also great.

    Had a great lunch here...

    The staff was friendly.

    The food came out fast.

I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious.

The waitress and manager checked on us several times.

    Great service and delicious food.

    Great experience!

Seating - Wanted to sit outside, seater said she may be able to, but had to see if the table could be cleaned.  She then did a disappearing act and we never saw her again!  So we went to the bar.

Food - Not too bad.  But When I got a check for $40, it seemed a lot for a hoagie, fries and two beers.  Guess it's mainly for all the business travelers on expense accounts.

Service - Everyone seemed to be miserable here.  Comments overheard, "people take things from the bar because management sucks."  "No one wants to do their job."  Along with no one smiling, was off-putting.

Returning - Eh, maybe one day.  But in no rush.

AWESOME! I had a great time while I visited FL. I came here on a business trip for an Expo that was in town. This place was PACKED from wall to wall and even outside on the patio. The drinks were strong and of plenty! I sure didn't go thirsty that night! BEWARE!!! get your ticket validated at the bar!!! Parking is $20... WTF right!!!

Very friendly staff, very stiff drinks and an amazing burger.  The service was good, even when the place got slammed with loud conference folks.  Nice place to hang out in the evening.

Big tv and lots of TVs. Love the set up and decor.  Food not so good and very expensive. One beer, one coffee, salad, burger, and wings was over $70.  Would go back for beer to watch the game but never again for food.

We went here since it was late and we were staying at the Gaylord. The service was slow and there were several small requests we never received since we never saw our server. Food wasn't great either. A friend ordered ribs and they were dry.  I ordered the pulled pork and the bread was an oily/greasy soggy mess the moment I picked it up.  Quite a disappointment all the way around.  If you want to hang out, have some drinks and watch some sports, then this is a good place.  But as an eating establishment it sucks.

Great place to watch the game with 2 story screens. They have 2 levels where you can watch the game. Amazing!! But the price of beverages are crazy. $12 for a well drink, give me break?  Now if you are not a guest here then you will also have to pay $15 to park but the good thing is that they will validate your parking.
Enough about the cost of having fun, so if money is not an object then you will enjoy this bar.

Largest Sports Bar in Southeast! Located on the bridge between The Gaylord's Convention Center and main hotel atrium.  You can sit inside to see all the large TV's or sit on the breezy patio or outside.  Great sandwiches and desserts! Friendly waiters. They will also validate your parking when you eat a full meal here.

This sports bar is located inside Gaylord Palms Reort. It is huge with two stories of seating. The lounge area reminded me a lot of a Vagas sports book. Large comfy chairs with side tables. A huge 2 story TV to watch. A full menu is served in this area. Thank God!

The hotel was booked full the weekend we were here and there were also a lot of families in the hotel just to see ICE. Wrecker's was packed and the wait for a table was over an hour. We did get on the wait list but were having so much fun in the lounge area we never took the table.

The service was quick and friendly. We ordered steak bites and pulled pork sliders. Everything was delicious.

Wrecker's is the perfect spot if you have small loud children. They can scream their little heads off and no one would care or hear them. It's loud in here and has a really fun atmosphere. Have fun!

Wrecker's has a lot of potential. Really, it does. I went there multiple times because it was one of the few choices for something fast during and after the trade show we were working. It can't be beat for watching sports, but eating or drinking is a different story. The food is truly gross; for example, I had a beet salad where the beets were both dried-out and frozen. The pretzels are hard and eating them is like wrestling with a dog toy, which was disappointing since the sauces that came with it was good. Considering those two choices were bad, this place was a vegetarian hell. There was little else meatless to choose from. But, meat eaters, I have work from my coworkers that the non-veg dishes were pretty bad too.

I do want to note that the service was consistently friendly each time we tried the place. Perhaps stick to just going to watch games and having a Coke. You'll at least have a good time and some nice conversation with the staff.

Wrecker's is the sports bar inside the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. This is a great place for watching sports - they have the tables set up facing a huge wall of very large televisions with a lower level and a "balcony" that means you can watch everything without having to look through other people blocking your view. Nice!

Good selection of beers. Nice sandwiches and burgers. I recommend the Triple Slider, which was excellent with a pile of really good fries. Good food!

Because I was here for a convention, I have no idea how parking works.

I ate at Wreckers during a recent stay at the Gaylord Palms hotel.  I ordered the wedge salad and the chicken wings and asked them to make the Wings as hot you can make em!  They did not disappoint.  They were very hot and probably too hot for most people.  They were very accomodating in bringing as much blue cheese dressing as I needed. The salad was pretty good and very large.  The main drawback here is the price.  Everything is very expensive.  I noted the burger is $15 I had a salad and wings and a couple beers and paid $40 with a tip.  If youre looking for a place to eat and dont care about the cost this may be your place.

To watch a game or race on the MEGA Screen is out of this world. The food is excellent!!!

There just weren't enough options on the menu.  They did have a really good pretzel though!

I will have to agree with all other negative reviews...  The name fits the service and food. Spend your money some where else.

The service at Wrecker's (appropriately named) was spot on and speedy. That said, there were probably two servers for every customer in the place and that's where the positive remarks end.
Not a drinker and tired of all of the other food served at the Gaylord, I ventured here for something quick and easy. The smoked, BBQ chicken was the item of choice. It came promptly and hot. The more of it I ate, the worse it got. It tasted as though it had been soaked in bacon grease or lard. The aftertaste still lingers in my mouth. When I attempted to cut the breast of the chicken, the entire table shook. While I appreciate poultry cooked to done, this was beyond dry. The additional BBQ sauce did little to help and tasted like Teriyaki sauce, not BBQ. For the amount of money being charged anywhere at a place like the Gaylord, the food should be first rate, regardless of the establishment that serves it. A huge bulls eye (think Target) should be painted on the side of this place and the machinery that is the namesake of this restaurant (?) slash bar should be executed.

Didn't want to leave the hotel in a downpour so we decided to eat here. I'm gonna make this as straight to the point as I can, because honestly this place isn't even worth the time it's going to take me to write this quick review. I ordered a Peachy Keen Cosmo, it tasted great...too bad the glass was only a little more than half full. $12 down the drain. If you like mac and cheese bites, don't order the ones at Wrecker's. They're tasteless and dry. The burger was good, the bacon that came on it was extremely tough. When I decided to take my chances on another drink, I asked for a Mandrin Vodka and Red Bull. When I finally got it, about 13 minutes after I ordered it (the bar was nearly empty, mind you), it had a really odd taste...and not in a good way. I got about four and a half good swallows out of it before it was empty. Tiny glass, about a pound of ice-all filler, no killer. After getting the tab, I realized I was paying $13.50 for that sucker...the kicker was, $2 of that charge was for a Monster energy drink. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure Monster and Red Bull taste pretty different, and I'm also pretty sure I didn't order a Mandrin and Monster. That explains the odd taste. But the waitress really should've given me a heads up that they didn't have Red Bull and allowed me the opportunity to change my order instead of deciding Monster would be fine.

Bottom line, service is painfully slow and also extremely lacking. Food is mediocre at best. If you're stuck in Gaylord Palms and looking for nourishment, go to Sunset Sam's. It's still not top notch and I'm not a huge fan, but I'd go there any day of the week over visiting Wrecker's again. At least the drinks at Sam's are good and they have great entertainment most nights.

Two stars. Only because they remembered the condiments for my burger and I didn't get food poisoning an hour later.

Food is good but the service is painfully slow.  After travelling all day to get to Orlando, Florida it should not take 15 minutes from the time you order to get 1 drink. This place is located in the Gaylord Hotel.

    Here's the idea:
Spend a fortune on big screen TV's and decor a posh hotel where guests have few other options.  Serve lousy food by incompetent staff and charge a fortune.

You are better off eating an MRE in your room.

Recap: Upscale bar food, attentive staff and huge TV's. Built for tradeshow exec's on an expense report who want to see the game. Slightly cheaper than taking a cab to Buena Vista (but not by much)

Heading into the resort while at a tradeshow, the first restaurant you will see is Wrecker's. It's lunch time right now, no game is playing, and this place is too far from the action to attract the spring breakers. Not many patrons in the bar area, so I sidle up and take a seat. Service is quick in that "New bar, over-staffed, I really need the tips" kinda way. I had my diet coke refilled three times before it was half empty.

The menu is standard modern bar food, with burgers, sliders, salads, wings, etc. They went out on a limb and added pulled pork as a signature. You can get pulled pork sandwiches, pulled pork sliders and even pulled pork nachos. For a one page menu, that's a lot of pig! Prices are geared for expense reports and old money resort guests. A regular burger will set you back $15 before you see a drink.

Overall, I think they will do ok, if you are needing to see the game, have a beer, and eat some simple food, come on in. If you are feeding the kids, on a date or honeymoon, or sliding through on your way to Disney, you might want to pass and get a cab to Buena Vista. (not from here? There is a shuttle to downtown Disney, or take a cab to Miller's Ale House - you can feed the whole family for half the cost)
