Yamato Steak House Of Japan

Been there twice and had great service both times. Food was great and habachi show was entertaining. Very happy with experience.

We come in with 5 people and sit at the hibachi grill. It took about 30 minutes to get out soups and salads. Everything took a long time. One of my favorite things about the salads usually served at hibachi grills is that carrot ginger dressing. Here they just had a kinda ketchup bottle of dressing that I think was just mayonnaise. It was pretty gross. We ordered some sushi and it was pretty good, no issues there. Then the hibachi chef did the usual show and that was good too. But then they give those two different sauces for dipping ya know, well the yellow one is always my favorite. I am pretty sure it was honey mustard. It wasn't good at all. And then the rice and meat was done and on our plates so much sooner that the vegetables that had I waited for the vegetables so that I could mix them with the rice then everything would have been cold.

I was really excited about this place but like all the rest of the reviews I was disappointed. bad service, bad management, okay food, and the sushi does not taste fresh at all. if you want better sushi I would go to the one in connersville just thirty minutes away. I will give it a another shot and try the hibachi grill, and see if I come away impressed the second time.
