Yee Kee is full of Chinese guys at lunch and almost all of them are having the "soft noodle soup", which is pretty much the Chinese take on chicken noodle soup. It's obviously popular, so I tried it a couple of times. It's an enormous portion of soup - too much for me - so I moved back to the regular menu.
Fresh ingredients well cooked. They capture "the taste of the wok" quickly cooking the food in very hot well seasoned woks. There's almost a caramelized flavor that's missing from lesser Chinese cooking.
My usual is Cashew Chicken - a trivial dish - chicken, cashews, celery, carrots, and a  few other veggies. Something this simple has to be cooked well to impress.
Yee Kee is a mom & pop carry out place with a dozen tables. The owners are attentive and they'll remember you after two visits. Yee Kee is cash only.
Yee Kee is pretty much awesome. We all know Chinese fast food in America isn't authentic, but if it's good, who cares, right? Maybe you wouldn't expect for a Chinese take-out joint to carry such high-quality and fresh ingredients, but damnit, they do and they do it well! Completely un-shady and delicious Chinese food. This is my go-to place for Chinese take out in Columbus.
Review Source:Yee Kee is THE place to get clean Chinese food in Columbus. Yee Kee has consistently had good inspections for years. Easy to find location, can do carry out, the people who work there are great! I feel like I've known them for years. They run a clean, fair business with AWESOME food! I have eaten there for at least 6 years now, and the food is always great. Huge parking lot. They don't take credit or debit cards, but there is an atm in the parking lot. There is indoor seating, but the food will stay fresh and hot for quite some time if you want to just pick it up and take it home.
Review Source:You know how some times you eat Chinese food and then an hour later, you feel like you're going to die? Â This never happened to me at Yee Kee, and considering it's sitting in the middle of nowhere Indiana, this pleases me. Â Yee Kee is decent. It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had but it's far from the worst. Â I've even had meals where I'm like "Damn, this is good!" (Kung Pao Chicken). Â It looks like a dive but I swear it makes fresh food. Â I think they get the most business from carry-out but they do have seating as well. Â They definitely do NOT take credit which is the most annoying part but there is an ATM sitting right in their lot. Â Word to the wise: some people will highly recommend their toasted shrimp. Â Maybe it's just me but I was not a fan. Â Crab Rangoons all the way!!!
