A true dive in every sense. Â Highlights include...
- A diverse crowd. Â An odd looking man in camo pants and Mexican sarape befriended us.
- They have a claw game in the corner.
- Somebody was smoking joint in their car in the parking lot.
- Decent bar food... the pizza we tried was yummy.
I mean, it's a South County Dive Bar. Â So...if you have ever spent any time in a South County Dive Bar, you already kind of know what I am going to say.
The beer is cheap, but not really any cheaper than say Schottzie's or The Dry Dock, but it doesn't have the same, well, charm of those two. Â (Maybe that's just me b/c of my soft spot for those two particular bars...who knows?) Â It's incredibly smokey in there, but again, South County Dive Bar, what do you expect? Â Upside...easy to get a seat. Â Downside, REALLY LOUD bands which also means random nights with cover charges. Â
I could probably give this place four stars because honestly, I always have a good time when I go here, and they DO have bubble hockey in the game room. Â But single bathroom and constantly running into folks from my junior high years kind of brings it down for me.
