    My wife and i have stayed here multiple times. we've also brought our younger children and we've always had exceptional and friendly service with every staff member!

    The rooms are minimalistic designed, are always clean and have great showers!  They fixed the sunlight coming through the shade issue! (Nice fix!!)

    The courtyard is an awesome place to hang and located between the bar/lounge area and the indoor heated pool area. They have a better than average workout room, free pool table and nice bar/lounge area too.

    They don't have any full breakfast options but there are a ton of options ALL AROUND the hotel. Another cool feature *each room has a box that allows you to plug in outside entertainment (laptop, Xbox, etc) and put on the rooms tv!

    Highly recommend if ur in the area on business, traveling with family or want a fun night away.

    Thanks aLoft!!!

    Ok, this place is chic, modern, and European-style cool. The service at the front desk is super helpful and young. The rooms are pretty decent, but the breakfast and food services was kind of weird. There was no official line to order things and no way of checking who is picking up foods/drinks that are nicely displayed on the first floor. Looks cool, but not very efficiently run. But honestly for the great rate we were staying out, I don't think we could ask for more. Would come back.

    There are plenty of complaints on here about no free breakfast, overpriced snacks, & no ice or vending machines anywhere, so I'll just move on to my experience.

    Walking in I had a good first impression of this hotel. Hip trendy lobby & bar, & a slight European style to the room, like a glorified ikea showroom. The lady who checked me in was nice & courteous. But as soon as I went to bed the air conditioner turned on & sounded like a jet engine. It was so unnaturally loud the people staying in the room next to mine told me they heard it through the wall the next day. As tired as I was I just turned it off to sleep. A little after that I started hearing more broken fan noise that honestly sounded like a dying cat. I thought it was the air conditioner again but after checking I found it to be the refrigerator in the room. So I turned the air back on to drown out the fridge. I had a horrible night sleep, which to me is the biggest thing that matters for a hotel after customer service. I can tolerate a lot & figured I'll just tell them in the morning.

    Since I was only staying one night I went down to the lobby to let them know what happened as I checked out, thinking I would get some sort of compensation or voucher, anything for my bad experience. The employee in the lobby turned snobbish after asking how my stay was & did not offer me anything. He didn't write anything down or tell anyone to check the room out. He just dismissed it as if I was lying.

    It's a decent hotel for the price & I'm sure I had an isolated incident, but customer service is everything. I only stayed one night & will not ever stay there again unless I am contacted & compensated for my bad experience.

    Aloft is a Starwood property. A cheaper W hotel but has a cool concept with a trendy vibe. Paid less than $100 a night.

    Very cool modern hotel but with friendly and exceptional service. They were very accommodating to our kids as well. Nice indoor pool, clean comfy rooms.

    I couldn't find the ice machine. I65 was very loud. The room was nice and modern- a little over the top and starting to show some wear and tear. The tv was great though.

    While I cannot say anything about the rooms, I have been there on Wednesday nights for live music ---- so with that being said, this review is more for the lobby/bar area, rather than rooms.

    The inside is modern and spacious.  If you are not a fan of the same old, same old for hotels, Aloft offers a great alternative for young travelers.  The lobby has a great food area on the right that offers a wide variety of healthy snacks and breakfast options.  However, on the right hand side is a full bar with fresh bar food and a great drink menu.  They try to incorporate Nashville themes into the drinks so it is pretty cool.

    The best part and usually why I go is live music on Wednesdays.  It is great to see a hotel in the Burbs go to great lenghts to secure good music.  Kudos to you all!

    Stayed here for one night on a trip to Missouri. The place was clean and accepted pets. We had our boy with us so that was a huge plus.
    The rooms are kind of small but are clean and functional. Decor is a little too industrial and dark.
    There is a bar, a gym, and a pool. All were nice!
    One complaint is that the traffic from I-65 can be heard (loudly) in the rooms and we did not sleep well.
    Overall if you are traveling and have a pet stay here!

    Okay, I absolutely cannot complain for the price that we paid for the room.  My company has a policy where we have to stay in...economical hotels.  That usually turns out to be Hampton Inns, La Quintas, Sheratons, etc.

    So on my trip out to Nashville, my co-worker told me to make sure they don't put me in the shitty Hampton Inn and to stay at Aloft and I was pleasantly surprised.  There was a bar, free water in the rooms, a gym, an indoor pool, and the rooms were clean and very modern.  Design wise, yes, it is a little Ikea-like but the furniture isn't actually from Ikea.  There's also a plethora of channels that I actually watch on their TV.

    Best of all, I can get breakfast downstairs in the morning.  At their snack station they serve breakfast in the morning and they actually make breakfast to order.  Granted it's things like breakfast sandwiches but it's a nice touch to an "economical" hotel.

    No complaints but it looks like there's another Aloft in Downtown Nashville now and we'll probably be checking that out next time.

    I like the Aloft nashville-coolsprings and after this visit will strongly consider the Aloft group more often.  A couple things I liked:  strong wifi signal throughout.  Drives me crazy in some of the other hotels to have such limited bandwidth.  Like the number of plugs for charging electrical devices - no searching for a free plug behind the bed!   Only negative I can think of is that they do not offer a complimentary breakfast, however, at checkin reception made this clear.  Found room to very clean, modern decor.  Hospitality of the staff was very good.

    On a trip to Nashville, we were looking for something better than a Super 8. Found Aloft and thought it was pretty cool looking. I dig the modern, cool styling off the hotel.  Big thumbs up on that. The room was comfortable, bathroom nice, big tv, free internet, technology to hook up laptop to TV... Just plain nice really.

    On the cons, no free breakfast and for whatever reason I found myself buying more snacks and crap then I normally do. Not sure what they was about. They had some event in the bar one night that we were there that made it busy and made us feel like we were intruding when we were in the lobby. Three location isn't bad, being between Nashville and Franklin but it's very suburban and set back in kind of an odd place.

    Basically, it's a nice step up from your run of the mill hotels, but not exactly a cool urban hotel, either.

    This hotel has a boutique feel with a lower price. It is young and fresh looking, if not a bit on the Ikea side. As other reviewers have said, it's definitely a chain, but it is more fun than say Doubletree or Holiday Inn.

    First of all, I was very happy with the accessibility. I use a walker and sometimes, even when I request an accessible room, it isn't always ADA compliant. My room had a lower bed, higher toilet, and roll in shower. The hotel entrance had double sliding doors and the handicapped parking was only steps away. All of these earned Aloft points in my book.

    Second, there was a snack bar that could be accessed 24 hours. You could either pay at the desk or have the items billed to your room and they had tasty treats like bakery cupcakes, choco tacos, and lots of different pops, juices, and energy drinks. A nice variety of fruit and yogurt and granola too.

    Third, the staff were all very helpful and friendly and that makes a difference. All in all, I would stay here again. It was fairly close to Nashville and I would like to go back and explore Franklin as well.

    The hotel is chic and trendy for sure. But my praises go beyond the aesthetically pleasing.

    First off, this hotel is accessible to EVERYTHING. Shopping, downtown Franklin, I-65, and most importantly, FOOD. Grant it's almost all chains, but that's better than nothing.

    Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me check in early, helped recommend parking in downtown Franklin (free parking garages! why aren't these everywhere?) The staff even went as far as to call me a few minutes after I got into my room to make sure I had everything.

    The first look at the room is like "wow." It's so different. The shower and bathroom sink were my favorite designs. I even liked that when you first turn on the bathroom light, it's dull at first and then slowly brightens so your eyes can adjust. Very modern. I also so appreciated the two free water bottles in the room. Definitely needed!

    My only real setback was the bed. I know most hotel room beds are firm, but this was especially so. And the sheets felt weird. It's hard to explain, but they felt like the detergent hadn't been completely washed out. Ick.

    Overall, great hotel stay. I would add that other reviewers are probably right about the noise level. My room was in the middle of the hotel, but I could see how having a room right by I-65 could be bothersome.

    Clean and convenient and cheap -- so it was A-OK for us. The pool table was the best part. The space was a bit small and I could hear the traffic, but since it was just one night it was fine. It might start to feel a bit cramped for multiple nights, if you have more than one person.

    At first glance, the hotel looked hip and cool with it's lighting and retro yet modern decor. But I found the room to be cheaply appointed, the window shades were paper, the bedding smelled of strong bleach and I realized there was no real duvet cover- just 2 flat sheets sandwiching the comforter. The room was very noisy with the road noise and the ac unit was really loud. It was either freezing or too hot. I ended up having to cover half of the vent w pillows! The room reminds me of a tiny dorm, no bath tub just a stand up shower. And the "free" breakfast was sub par- the made to order english muffin sandwiches were really hard and rubbery. The good thing is that the hotel is a few minutes walk from the mall which saved me for meals because the hotel doesn't have a restaurant.
    The service was nice enough, so I'd just rate this hotel as okay and not go back.

    If you are looking for a fun alternative to Marriot and Hilton properties, Aloft is a great option. It's supposed to look "hip", but I put that in quotations because it is definitely a chain. It's the closest thing to a boutique hotel but without the price and mass produced. There are only a few dozen across the globe, so it is somewhat unique.

    The rooms are basic with little, modern furniture, docks for audio and laptops, and flat screens. Just imagine what a hotel would look like if it was organized more like a loft than a Residence Inn. There is also a full service bar downstairs. I've been to other Alofts where the bar serves as a neighborhood lounge, but that wasn't the case here.

    If you are a frequent business traveler, Aloft is a apart of the Westin/Sheraton properties. Give it a try for something a little cooler than a business suite, but with hotel reward points.

    I stayed here this past weekend for a wedding in the area, and didn't experience any problems.  The room was clean and since it was only me, I didn't mind the lack of space.  I've noticed people complaining about the beds at Aloft, but I found mine decent.  The staff was helpful and my room wasn't too loud-maybe being on the 4th floor cut down on highway noise.  The market for food is a little silly and overpriced, so I didn't buy anything.

    Starwood Hotels tend to be better than their Hilton and Marriott counterparts. The Aloft Nashville is no exception.

    Yes, the lounge is hip. Yes, the people are hip. Yes, the music is hip. Yes, the rooms are hip. IT'S ALL HIP! Contemporary styling is generally hip. If you want a traditional (read: boring) hotel, check the Hampton Inn next door.

    With a pool table and a legitimate full service bar, the lobby wins the "best for miles" award. The gym is small, but offers variety and high ceilings (important if you're 6'4" and don't enjoy playing "dodge the drop tiles" while running on a treadmill). There's a pool and sitting area which presents yet another casual spot for conversing, sipping, or smoking (if that's your stick...your pun radars should be beeping loudly.).

    My experiences here date back to 2010. Even then, the quality of service was high and since has not changed. If I call the desk, I'm greeted by name. When I walk through the lobby in the mornings, I'm greeted by name. All employees are friendly and and willing to help you enjoy yourself. The back office people were very helpful in my efforts to find a rate that my company would agree to pay.

    The rooms are minimal, which is to my liking. If you are looking for lots of perks, this is probably not your place. Each room is alike its counterparts; the kings are like the kings and the queens are like the queens. The beds don't impress me terribly, but I love the simple layout of the rooms and the functionality of everything inside.

    Location here is very accessible to both the shoppers and the travelers whizzing through Cool Springs. If you make two turns off I-65, you can be here in under 2 minutes (God willing with the increase in traffic). You can walk to the mall or to a number of restaurants from Aloft if you so choose to betray the preferred method of one-person-per-car transport seen in the area. Jonathan's and Brewhouse South share roadspace with the Aloft and can be reached on foot in mere minutes.

    Noise from the interstate can be bothersome if you're on the east side of the hotel. Solution? Ask for an odd-numbered, high digit, low floor room. I.E. 612 = noisy, 229 = very quiet. If you can't win there, just set your HVAC to ON and the fan noise will nicely drown out all but the most muffler-free monster trucks.

    All-in-all, this hotel does the trick and does it well. Take that statement from someone who travels over 100 nights per year and maintains pretty reasonable expectations for what hotels should be.

    Calling all Hipsters in the area, this is what I felt like being here.  But generally this is a very hop hotel with European Styling.  It is very nice and there is a very social area in the lobby.  There is a bar, pool table, and small food area.  If you looking for a nice hotel with a place to hang out, this is one.

    This place annoys me so much, it's tempting to be reactionary and give it 1 star, but that wouldn't be fair. So, consider this a reluctant 2 stars.

    Where do I begin? My sister in law was gifted a two-night stay at Aloft, and she invited me to stay with her. Let's start with location. This place is right off of hwy 65, in Cool Springs. This hotel is right in the middle of the commercial district, so if you are really into hanging out at chain restaurants, then I guess this is a great location, but if that's not your cup of tea, then you have a problem, because this hotel offers absolutely nothing as a supplement to the lack of things to do in the area.

    There is a "bar" in the lobby area - it's just a wall with a handful of barstools. There is a small pool in the back of the lobby - I didn't not swim, but it did look nice.

    Here's where it gets annoying. We get to our room and immediately get into jammies and go down the hall to get our ice and snacks. Weirdest thing - we couldn't find the vending machines. We found a room, mysteriously labeled "REFRESH", but it was locked. We called the front desk and were informed that there aren't ice and vending machines! What-what-WHAT? We were told to go down to the lobby for snacks and ice. I was not up for changing back into reasonable lobby clothes, so I (uncomfortably) went down there in my pjs to get my ice and find the vending machines. So, there are individual bags of complimentary ice down there, but no machines. There are snacks on the wall - limited in selection and overpriced. You have to buy these snacks at the front desk, which is weird. All I wanted was a can of coke and some fun candy, and I ended up spending $9.50 on a bottle of tea, milk, and a microwavable cinnamon bun, feeling very confused about the entire situation.

    The bottom line is that this place offers absolutely nothing for free, except the ice that's held hostage in the brightly lit lobby. This place has reinvented the wheel of the hotel experience, taking away all convenience and pretending like it's "chic" or "trendy." The rooms don't even have the "amenities binder" we've all come to expect. You have to turn on the tv and look up "hotel services" and "guest services." And let me tell you, so many of the supposed "services" on these lists are contrived at best. Things like "art wall" are listed under hotel services. Literally - the wall with the pictures on it is listed as a hotel service. What? Clearly they are reaching pretty far.

    Well, I digress. Let's just list the pros and cons:

    PROs:
    * very very clean
    * nice beds/bedding
    * nice room layout
    * big wall TV
    * I noticed that this place is very dog friendly - totally unexpected given the vibe of the hotel
    * hilarious tv wake-up video - OMG seriously, just watch it. There are no words for how ridiculous it is!
    * free wi fi

    CONs:
    * lack of amenities
    * lack of convenience
    * overpriced and horribly located snacks, with very limited selection
    * no restaurant
    * no REAL bar
    * overpriced nightly rate (though I didn't have to pay)
    * the bathroom has a sliding door with a 2 inch opening, so make sure you don't stay with anyone you wouldn't be okay ripping a loud fart within earshot of

    A co-worker of mine won a free night's stay at Aloft and gave it to me (she's a sweetie).  Even though we live not too far from the area, my husband and I decided to make a date night out of it.  Plus, I wanted to check it out to see whether or not I would recommend it to business travelers (for the company I work for).

    It's a bit difficult to get to, but I don't see that as a huge deterrent.  The staff was friendly and helpful (albeit very young) and the decor was different from your regular run-of-the-mill Hilton or Marriott chain.

    I'm not sure what kind of room we were given, I forgot to ask.  I'm assuming it was a basic king sized room.  The space itself was not very large, but I think they fit everything in the room without feeling cramped.  The room seemed very clean.  It's a hotel...how sure can you be?  Now, if I were a business traveler, I don't think I'd enjoy staying here for more than a night.  You could hear the interstate all night long.  I'm a heavy sleeper, so it didn't bother me, but my husband made sure to point out the traffic noise.

    Overall, our stay was nice.  I wouldn't say that I would recommend it to a business traveler for too many nights in a row, but I could see young professionals or young couples picking Aloft over other options in the area.  I'm not sure what the room rates are off-hand since we didn't have to pay (sweet!), but I believe it's very reasonable for the amenities and the area.

    At The Gay-Loft again. Great little place if your business calls for a budget night. Usually around $100. You can have a few martini's at the Euro-tastic trendy XYZ bar with LED lights in the bar!! The workout gym and pool are good. The only problem with aLoft's is that the underwindow AC's are so freaking loud you can't hear the TV (which is also a sexy wall mounted LCD). In conclusion, a very sexy, fabulous place to stay. Much more trendy that the Marriott Courtyard or others. But best thing is it's Starwood!

    How best to describe aloft:  W-lite?  Sheraton Four Points on acid?  A Hampton Inn for the black turtleneck crowd?  While I'm not sure if I'm exactly the target demographic, compared to other limited service hotels, I liked aloft quite a bit.  While the spartan decor reminded me of my college dorm room, it was comfortable and functional.  Like it's more mainstream competitors (Four Points, Sierra, Courtyard, etc.), rooms have the essentials:  good wifi connection, coffe maker, comfortable bed, LCD television, iron, etc.

    Downstairs, the circular front desk sits in the middle of the lobby, with the breakfast buffet and sundry shop arranged against an adjacent wall.  I like the concept, but in the morning it can get a bit chaotic as the desk clerks are not only trying to check guests out, but also acting as cashiers for the buffet and sundry shop.   Staff were friendly, if a bit harried.

    There is also a decent bar with a pool table and quite a bit of comfortable seating.  Glass doors from the bar/lounge lead to an outdoor patio with a firepit, which would have been tempting had the temperatures been below the near-100 degree heat that enveloped Nashville during our stay.

    While I didn't not have a chance to use either one, there is an indoor pool and fitness center.

    Overall, not a bad hotel, and definitely someplace I would consider for a future trip.  Starwood points are a nice additional incentive, as well.  But next time, I'll pack the black turtleneck.

    Nice hotel for a weekend getaway.  Different enough and boutique-like to make you forget you're within walking distance of the mall.  Rooms were small but comfortable, with great amenities.   Our only complaint was that the shades in the room, although trendy, were insufficient to create a dark room for afternoon naps or sleeping late in the morning.

    My husband birthday is probally the most imporatant day of the year to me. Literally, more important than Christmas. We never backtrack and both of our bdays are in Aug. Mine first then his. Since each bday has to be better than the last and also better than what he did for me I decided to throw him a surprise party at a hotel.

    Aloft's rate for their special packages are amazing! I paid 170 on the romantic package and got the hotel room, dinner for two at Carraba's, two drinks at their bar WXZY, and Champaigne, breakfast, and chocolate for the room. At other hotels, I might have gotten the room and that it.

    STAFF: The staff was sooo friendly and helpful! They made sure we had every little thing we asked for.

    BUILDING: The building is the cleaniest I have ever seen any hotel in my life. The lobby and public areas are really done very well. Very trendy. We had a photoshoot literally in the lobby as a part of his birthday with my photographer Toni Delano (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FKyronink.net&s=5b2427e10a9c2f8ff49b97ff0dead9e942246a262c32ce951f44932a8b63e101" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://Kyronink.net</a>). Perfect! I didn't hear a soul all weekend. Its like you are there by yourself.

    The ROOM: The room set up was genious. Only about 250 sq ft, but it was lovely and didn't feel cramped at all. Honestly, everything was so clean and nice, it was like no had stayed in that room before. No noise from other rooms either. The highway is close by so if you are a light sleeper it might bother you. I didn't notice at all.

    We had dinner that night at Carrabas and the surprise party at their WXYZ Bar. Seating arrangement was great! comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone.

    Overall, I would need no reason to go back. Just to be there. A+ for Aloft!

    I'm a Starwood Owner and very delighted in the concept as well as the decor and amenities in the Aloft brand of hotels. I concur with most all the posters regarding location, ease of access and ambiance.  The only drawback at this site is the need for more mature staff at the front desk.  While they can be efficient, more care needs to be given for customer service as well as NOT texting or chatting w/ friends while they are working.  It's just not professional.

    What a concept! Take a cookie cutter national hotel chain, mix it with personalized service, boutique hotel amenities,  unique world 2k design and Voila! you end up with ALoft Hotels. I'm so glad the W decided to launch this chain. The idea of a small chain hotel with more then one person working the desk at any hour (you would think its not novel) provides for a great experience. During our stay we were able to see a local artist showing in the main lobby, beer tastings, and live music. It is a chain hotel with a boutique mentality and its fantastic. I just wish their coffee was stronger.

    The aloft in Cool Springs/Franklin really impressed me!

    If you haven't heard of the aloft brand, its like W meets hilton garden inn... They are starting to pop up in a few markets in the US... mostly around airports and in suburbia, though there are a few downtown locations. Anyway - there has been quite a bit of press and excitement around the brand so naturally I was excited to find one of the properties was opening near one of my clients.

    I stayed for 2 weeks in October of 08, the property was brand new and they actually held the grand opening party while I was there. The staff was really engaged - they actually seemed excited to have guests in the building!

    The rooms are very unique... Basically you walk in and you're facing the closet, the bathroom is to your left or right, the bed is in the middle of the room opposite the closet, facing a large plasma TV. There is an input box on the desk if you want to connect your laptop to the TV. I don't typically travel with an HDMI cable but the front desk came to my rescue! The rooms are rather small, with just the essentials amenity wise. It was fine for me but a family with children would probably find a 2 bedroom room to be very cramped.

    The bar, wxyz, is alot of fun. Nice collection of "W-like" drinks and some great outdoor seating. The staff was just as edgy, but much more personable than what you find at most Ws. James in particular is always good for a game of pool if the bar isn't too busy.

    The "re:fuel" items in the lobby really aren't that great... especially the breakfast sandwiches. I'd say it is worth the 5 minute drive to the starbucks on carothers.

    Nonetheless, I had an awesome time, and if I'm ever in suburban Nashville again, I will most certainly stay at the aloft in Franklin. I had previously stayed at the Marriott in Cool Springs (about 4 blocks away) and I certainly prefer the aloft - the fact that it is about $100/night cheaper and has free wifi is an added bonus!!
