  What can I say about the Marinere? I grew up in Foxborough and we always joked about the place. I've never stayed at the hotel but I've drank at the bar. Townies through and through and I'd be willing to bet a number live at the Marinere.
  
  Its never been anything but a welcoming place and the drinks are reasonable. There are a couple of pool tables. They put some money in renovations within the past few years for sure but you can't really put much lipstick on a pig; it is a townie dive.

  The rooms are small but nice if you are looking for a quick place to stay in the area for a short time. A bit pricey for the size of the room especially off-season.  The bar downstairs is cheaply priced which is  great and the bartender staff are very friendly. However, the reason why the low star rating is that the female inn keeper is somewhat lacking in customer service.

  "Foxboro's Best Kept Secret"
  ... ok, so Foxboro doesn't have so much to keep a secret, but the Ancient Mariner was a lot of fun.
  I started going here in college for their Thursday Night Karaoke nights. At first, the locals were not amused by the 'college kids' taking over. But our group grew, and half of them were achapella singers, so we were soon greated with a rousing cheer.
  The bartender was super nice until he got fired for selling drugs out back.
  Usually a quiet place for a cheap drink, but an awesome place to take over with a big group of people. One of the locals might even challenge you to pool for the table. Don't bet money, some of the regulars are really talented.
