Stopped in for breakfast while in town on a business trip. Decent omelets (not burned!) - that's the biggest positive. Meh latte - too milky, couldn't taste much coffee. Service just as everybody says: one server was nice, the other pointedly ignored a polite request made three times as she stood behind the counter, stuffing her face with grapes. Wi-fi worked well. Would I go back? Probably not. If a cafe can't make good coffee, what's the point?
Review Source:Loved it here so much, we made 2 visits in one weekend! They have breakfast, lunch, dinner AND sell alcohol, I'm in love. The food is all super fresh and delicious, and for the most part, healthy. I love the vibe inside with mismatched seating and cool artwork on the walls. There is another room next to the main room with the drink bar that has music but it was nice to sit on the quieter side, still hear the music but be able to talk. I will be back here the next time I am in town for sure!
Review Source:This is my favorite place in Springfield to hang out. This place has a very artsy and cool vibe and attracts the kind of inquisitive young minds which I miss so much from places I've lived in days gone by. It's in the touristy zone of downtown, so it attracts locals and tourists alike.
The menu isn't terribly extensive but what they have is done right. The front page of their menu is based on the "paleo" Â diet which also means the options are gluten-free as well, which is nice considering there aren't many options in Springfield which advertise gluten-free menu options. The "meatza" is my favorite menu item- essentially pizza without the crust. I love that they offer such tasty, lighter options.
I also adore their for real deal espresso machine. The marshmallow mocha is to die for- nothing like a melted s'more in a cup. Delicious. Worthy of noting, they have gelato and baked goods here which look delicious, none of which I have tried.
So 2 reasons for giving this place only 4 stars: 1) The hours. Closes at 4 pm every night? This place has such potential to be a cool evening hangout for an acoustic show or even a local art show. 2) This is the big one- customer service! The management here is great, but the actual employees that run the counter leave room to be desired. I've actually walked up while 3 of them are standing there, discussing how to properly apply liquid eyeliner, and they blatantly ignored me for a solid 2 minutes before acknowledging I was even there. If you're going to be the neighborhood friendly coffee shop and keep the locals coming back, you've got to amp up the charm. Starbucks is right down the street, you know?
Overall, great place besides my belly achin. I'll continue to come back regularly.
