As far as Applebee's go, this one was one of the better ones I've been to. Service was inattentive but friendly and the wait for the food wasn't bad either. The place was very clean, large, and they even had an outdoor patio eating area. This location is also a stand alone spot so there's plenty of parking and isn't nearly as packed as it would be if it was stuck in a mall or something. I actually quite enjoyed my meal and the calories were reasonable (they're listed and can be laughably high on a number of the items). I got the french onion soup and the shrimp and steak entree ($18) off the "under 550 calories" section. The 7oz sirloin was cooked perfectly as was the broccoli and potatoes it came with and the seasoning was good as well. The shrimp weren't the best or largest I've had but were decent. I'm not saying Applebees should be the restaurant of choice when going out but if you're going to do a huge chain, this one is your best option.
Review Source:The food was good but I called ahead for curbside pickup. Â Waited in my car 15 minutes before I got fed up and went looking for my food. Â The place was dead. It was 845pm and they couldn't figure out that i was waiting outside for my food like advertised. Â Too much to ask them to look out the window. Â Shmucks! Â They're lucky the food was still warm.
Review Source:Ok, we were invited to return to this restaurant so we tried it. Â It was actually very good this time. Â Great service with a friendly server (Juan?) and the Apple Sangria is delicious! Â The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated and the parmesan talipa was absolutely delicious. Â Give this place a try and know that, if you have a problem, the management does care. Â That counts for a lot in my book.
Review Source:I visited this restaurant while upset after experiencing a traffic jam and  limited parking prevented me from attending the Fordham graduation. I had returned to Elmsford where I was staying, and decided that I needed to get a good lunch. Not wanting  to totally blow my diet, I hoped to soothe my jangled nerves with something tasty.  Looking through the colorful menu, my eyes landed on a luscious looking dish called "California Shrimp Salad" .  It was flanked by a cool looking green sangria drink loaded with fruit.  I ordered both noting that the salad had just over 300 calories.  I was amazed with this combo.  The salad, loaded with shrimp, avocado, bacon and savory dressing was very scrumptious, and the drink was so tasty that I didn't worry about the calories it probably contained.  The wait staff was very attentive too, and I must say that the gentlemen had really lovely smiles.  I'd go back in a minute.  That little venture turned out to be one of the good memories of that frustrating day.
Review Source:We had the 2 for 20 deal. That made the pricing better. It is the usual greasy and fried stuff that you would expect at an Applebee's. The service was ok to a little neglectful. There is the usual happy birthday singing and hand clapping. That happened twice this night. Nickelodeon was on the flat screen for the kids?
It is like a bar with bar food that pretends to be a restaurant that is kid friendly.
When one of the only restaurants close to your home is Applebee's, you know you are screwed. Â The only redeeming thing about this Applebee's is that it is inexpensive and close to the school that I was visiting. Â I ordered some ribs here that were by far the worst ribs I've ever had--and that's saying a lot since I once super charred some spare ribs on the Webber Smokey Joe that would devastate Applebee's ribs in a rib cook off. Â The ribs were rubbery and had the industrialized, processed texture of the meat in a McDonald's McRib sandwich. Â I bet they would sell more sandwiches if they just took the bones out, placed the meat in between two pieces of bread and sold it a McRib clone. Â For some real food, head over to City Limits Diner in White Plains.
Review Source:lunch options are pathetic on this side of tarrytown. i work in a pretty large business complex with lots of companies and we have a dinky cafeteria. when i get a chance, i gather up some coworkers and we head to applebee's in hawthorne. it's close enough and the food is decent. the "pick 'n pair" lunch specials go for about $7 -8 (before tax and tip), which i like quite a bit. my fave is the oriental chicken salad with the tomato basil soup.
