Very disappointed with this location. Â Employees inept, caramel macchiato was awful, place was not that clean. Â I usually go to Starbucks and I understand why this place has limited locations. Very little selection for coffee specialty drinks. Â I prefer Mocha or other coffee based drinks. Â No free wifi from what I remember. Â Chocolate Croissant was alright. Â I would never go back again. Â Better service, food, employees at Lavazza and Starbucks.
Review Source:I love the location of this Au Bon Pain - it's in the same building I work in. But, what's even better is the high level of service and quest to satisfy the customer that I've experienced when I've visited their bakery.
And - their 1/2 price special after 5 keeps me coming back for more!
I love Au Bon Pain! I usually bring my lunch, but on the several occasions I feel like stepping it up I stop in at Au Bon Pain! I love their made to order salads and I usually try and switch it up each time I go. Last week I had the Tuna Salad and it was delicious. They never skimp on the protein, veggies or dressing! They also have delicious desserts, and tasty sides to go along with your sandwich or salads. It is a bit pricey, but if you dont eat out everyday I think its definitely worth it!
Review Source:I walked out of here today completely steamed. Â I wanted pumpkin soup and pret a manager had run out. Â So, I knew ABP would have it. Â They did - YAY! Â I go to get a small container and they only have 16 oz containers....So, I fill it up half way, tell the cashier what happens, she tells me they only have that one size and then charges me $5 for it. Â Are you kidding me????? Â I left it and walked out. Â Stupid ABP. Â I agree w/other yelpers...the friendliness of this particular location is non-existent. Â I actually hate this location...It's confusing and rude. Â I won't be back.
Review Source:oops - still delicious and all, but the corn bread is not free with your salad. Â I found this out the next time I went in - the lady says "go pick a bread at the end, near the soups" Â I picked corn bread. I get rang up and the cashier charges me, I question it and she says only the breadstix are included with the salad. I explained that I had no way of knowing that, as she says bread and here is piles of bread - there is no sign saying one bread is free the other is not. Â I said that I didn't want the cornbread if I had to pay, but I already touched it... what do I do? Â The manager let is slide this time for no charge- that was nice, but they should really be more clear on the bread thing.
Review Source:I went again. Â I don't know why I bother, though. Â There were maybe six people in there and it took what seemed like forever to get rung up.
Plus, their food is decent, but which of you can honestly look me in the eye and tell me that a bowl of soup, a piece of bread and a soda should cost over $10? Â And then have super-slow cashiers? Â
Never again. I'd give them one star if the food sucked. Â The food doesn't suck, but pretty much everything else about this place does, hence the two stars.
This location is my favorite due to proximity to my place of work. Â However, my love for ABP as a whole is due to the following:
1. Â Their coffee. Â They have soy milk for free (suck on that, starbucks!) and you get a discount for being eco-friendly and using a reusable mug (not just their mug, any of comparable size).
2. Â Soup selection - notably the pumpkin soup in the fall.
3. Â The small portions they have in the refrigerator section - you can mix and match to make your own lunch.
Plus, bonus cool points for having a French name (even if correlation to France ends there).
Oh, and the door here is some kind of freakish wind tunnel. Â Don't worry, just keep pulling. Â Really, we aren't all staring at you.
Overrated and overpriced. Â I just had the half sandwich/soup combo ( I wanted half a wrap with the soup but they onyl would do sandwiches in combo which sux) I did the tomato cheddar soup and half tuna. Â was not impressed with either. Â Half tuna came out with soggy wheat bread and like 1/2 cup mayonaise slathered on it gross. Â The soup was nothing to write home about either. Â All of this for close to a whopping $9!!! Â I like their bagels but will not go back for sandwiches most likely when there is corner bakery that does a half sandwich/soup combo for $7.50 and the tomato basil soup is delicious and the tuna comes on fresh bread AND chips and a pickle on the side, much better deal!!
Review Source:I apologize, I'm not sure if I'm writing for the right location but I imagine they are all very similar. I will make a point to research some more and update accordingly so please stand by. HA!
I absolutely LOVED this place, , , um California??
Unfortunately I arrived in the middle of lunch rush so I was a little overwhelmed and felt a bit pressured in the midst of the madness. None-the-less, I managed to choose a soup out of probably at least 15 to choose from. I opted for the curry lentil which was phenomenal! I wished I wasn't in such a hurry so I could have enjoyed it a bit more.
I would certainly have multiple breakies or lunches if I had Au Bon Pain. Mmmmmh.
