Long wait but I'd say it's worth it. I had a veggie omelette with crispy hash browns. I liked that the omelette came with asparagus and broccoli, was a good combination. Upgraded my side pancakes to the special fig and walnut pancakes for only $1. Pretty good but a little dry. Portions are huuuuuggeee. Other people at the table ordered various omelets and skillets and all seemed extremely satisfied.

While doing research for activities to do on our short trip to Chicago I saw Wildberry Cafe recommended on a few websites and the yelp rating was pretty good so we decided to give it a try.  So glad we did because brunch was delicious!  

The duck confit hash special was quite tasty.
Corned beef and hash was really good too.  It comes with either fruit or hash browns, and either  pancakes or toast.  
The best thing out of our meal hands down was the signature berry bliss pancakes: "Buttery Pancakes Stuffed with Fresh Maine Blueberries & Layered with Wildberry Mascarpone. Topped with Fresh Blackberries, Strawberries, Vanilla Cream Anglaise and a Fresh Blackberry Coulis."  It wasn't overly sweet despite a dusting of sugar on top.  I'm generally not a pancakes lover but this place makes the list of top 3 pancake places ever for me (next to Harry's Roadhouse in NM and Clinton Street bakery in NY).

Tips:
- These are definitely huge American sized portions at Wildberry so come hungry or be prepared to doggie bag.
- They won Best Pancake in Chicago (don't remember the details but it was advertised on the back of one of their menus) so if you're having a hard time deciding, definitely go for the pancakes.
- Go for the $1 upgrade to special pancakes with your meal.  One of the best upgrade decisions you'll ever make -  promise!

Wish I could bring this place back with me to NY so that I could try all the other types of pancakes they offer!  Next time when i'm in town i'll try the Tiramisu or Oreo S'mores pancakes.

WOW.  just wow.  slap me and fuck me sideways.  i left full and speechless.  
I am seriously considering flying back to chi-town and going here and then flying back.  this place is THAT good.

a breakfast place that makes you wait 45 mins.... you know this place means business.  i almost wanted to walk away and find a different place to eat... so glad i didn't!

Spice up your Morning with this Combo of Chorizo, Jalapeño Peppers, Avocado, Onions, Cilantro, Mushrooms & Chihuahua Cheese, Atop of a Tortilla. Served with Salsa.
WOW.  did i just eat magic or something?!  this was mexican heaven on a plate.  everything worked perfectly together.  god damn, just writing this review makes me crave for it.  it also comes with fruits / grits / or hashbrowns.

PAY EXTRA FOR THE specialty pancake upgrade.  TRUSTTTT.  its so worth it.

I swear on abe Lincoln grave, you will NOT find a better pancake than the one listed above.  i would seriously just sell my soul for a lifetime supply of the berry bliss.  its that good....  i'm having withdraws now.  :(
