Corner Bakery Cafe

Stopped here on the way back to my hotel for lunch.
I had a chicken pesto panini. It was reeeally good. I was surprised at how big it was.
Tons of seating, great views, good prices, nice staff.
I would go back.

This is Chicago's version of our St Louis Bread Co. The menu options are very similar: soups, salad, pastries, sandwiches, panini, coffee, etc. Some of the flavor combos are a bit more adventurous (see my soup order below as an example), but in a good way.

The menu is reasonably priced, and the service was decent. You'll find these little cafes around Chicagoland...it's a good place to get a decent breakfast sandwich or light lunch / dinner.

They have dairy free, gluten free, and vegetarian options as well.

Day 1 I had the Spicy Thai Coconut soup and an Uptown Turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with apple smoked bacon and avocado. Not a crumb was left on my plate! They also had this wonderfully refreshing black currant iced tea - so good!

Day 2 Ibreakfasts an Anaheim breakfast panini, which had egg, Bacon, green onion, avocado, and cheese on sourdough bread. It was hot and tasty.

I'll be back Corner Bakery Cafe...but don't worry Bread Co, I still love you!

FOOD: As far as breakfast sandwiches go, theirs are pretty good. I'm a fan of the chicken apple sausage panini thin (with egg whites). Lunchwise, the veggie panini and club panini are both pretty delicious. Their DC chicken salad is worth a try as well.

ATMOSPHERE: Decently clean and the staff is usually upbeat. It's a blackhole for AT&T 4g, but then again, so is most of the loop.

A good spot for breakfast or lunch. Lots of options for all.
