I have a complete love affair with potbellys. You get a hot toasted sandwich with melted cheese. I usually get their wreck or a TKY with everything. You can't beat the price either. $4 for a skinny or $5.30 for a wreck. The giardinera makes the sandwich complete. I'm glad I don't live nearby one because otherwise i would be a total fatty! Perfect for lunch, and even though it can get super crowded around lunch time, the sandwiches are made fast along by their nice employees.
Review Source:I like this Potbelly location because it is never too busy and the staff makes the sandwiches quickly. Â My standby is the normal turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Â Can't go wrong with that. Â I like the selection of Zapp's chips--bbq is my favorite. Â I also like the macaroni salad and that it comes in a small serving size, just enough as a side for lunch and a bit for the next day too. Â I usually come here at least once a week...they also have a talented musician who plays here during the lunch hour sometimes.
Review Source:I've always been a fan of Potbelly, and I'll just say that if you live around Chicago and style haven't checked on out, then you should do so now. Â They're probably my favorite chain for toasted/hot sandwiches.
My recommendations re either The Wreck (I think it's their signature sub), or the Mushroom Melt (Order a veggie if you want the same thing but larger)
Also, if you're already a regular I'd recommend trying the new Mash drink they have. It's a pomegranate and berry drink that's absolutely delicious (although a little pricey). Â They told me it's a local drink so I'll have to hunt down where it comes from. Â
A big plus is the fact that they offer "smalls" - sandwiches with less bread and less ingredients. Â Helpful if you're on a diet because you can have something pretty tasty with less than 400 calories. Â On the flip side they also offer "Bigs" if you've got a hungrier side. Â
The service is pretty quick, but the line does get pretty bogged down during lunch time, so I usually try going around 2ish when the crowd has died down.
Other than that it's a chain so there isn't too much to say. Â Unlike other potbelly's, this one doesn't have a fancy new coke machine, so don't expect that. Â But you should be having the pomegranate Mash anyways. Â
Oh, and delicious cookies. Â Probably the best out of all the sandwich shops that offer cookies.
