Sloppy sandwiches, slow service. The asian woman there makes terrible sandwiches while looking everywhere except at what she is doing. Food is overpriced and bland. Too bad because it could be a quite a profitable business in a location with two high rise office buildings full of customers. When it first opened, there were lines of people across the lobby of the building. Now, it's rare to see more than 5 or 6 in line at a time. Guess everybody found out that they can get a better sandwich faster and cheaper at Potbellys. Too bad the Quizno's closed. They at least had friendly people!
Review Source:Had some Snarf's today for lunch. All in all a pretty positive experience.
A couple things to note:
- Their menu is very Potbelly's-esque. The subs taste pretty similar (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). The service is slightly slower than P-Belly's, though still pretty fast.
- The sub is a little pricey for what you're getting. Comparing it to Potbelly's, the sub will run you $6.50, a fountain drink is $2, and chips are $1. After tax, my meal was $10.50. I think that's a little high for a quick sub meal.
- They have Sriracha. Huge bonus. Some say you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can rate a restaurant by its Sriracha.
Not to harp on Potbelly's, I know there are so many other sandwich options, but that's easily the closest comparison in the taste department.
Definitely a nice change of pace for lunch, but nothing life-changing.
I would go back.
Working in the mini-city within a city that is the AON Center, I tend to frequent the same few places in and around the building over and over. I had avoided Snarf's like the plague, to be perfectly frank, because the name is ridiculous and the illustrations on their website kind of turn me off (I realize these are just weird neurotic issues on my part that in no way reflect the food.)
So, that said, I've grown horribly tired of only having a few trusty salad (my preferred lunch food) joints in the vicinity. One day, I decided to suck it up and check out Snarf's. I was pleasantly surprised by the Cobb. The main thing that stood out to me is the quality of the lettuce. It almost seems like they used butter lettuce (which is awesome), instead of the usual romaine. All of the ingredients seemed fresh, their service is really fast and ordering online saves a whole helluva lot of time (the lines can get pretty significant.) One thing to note, if you ask for chicken on the salad, they will give you chicken salad. If you want grilled, you need to specify that.
Maybe someday if I'm feeling truly radical, I'll check out the sandwiches. People seem to like them!
