Sloppy sandwiches, slow service. The asian woman there makes terrible sandwiches while looking everywhere except at what she is doing. Food is overpriced and bland. Too bad because it could be a quite a profitable business in a location with two high rise office buildings full of customers. When it first opened, there were lines of people across the lobby of the building. Now, it's rare to see more than 5 or 6 in line at a time. Guess everybody found out that they can get a better sandwich faster and cheaper at Potbellys. Too bad the Quizno's closed. They at least had friendly people!
Review Source:Had some Snarf's today for lunch. All in all a pretty positive experience.
A couple things to note:
- Their menu is very Potbelly's-esque. The subs taste pretty similar (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). The service is slightly slower than P-Belly's, though still pretty fast.
- The sub is a little pricey for what you're getting. Comparing it to Potbelly's, the sub will run you $6.50, a fountain drink is $2, and chips are $1. After tax, my meal was $10.50. I think that's a little high for a quick sub meal.
- They have Sriracha. Huge bonus. Some say you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can rate a restaurant by its Sriracha.
Not to harp on Potbelly's, I know there are so many other sandwich options, but that's easily the closest comparison in the taste department.
Definitely a nice change of pace for lunch, but nothing life-changing.
I would go back.
Working in the mini-city within a city that is the AON Center, I tend to frequent the same few places in and around the building over and over. I had avoided Snarf's like the plague, to be perfectly frank, because the name is ridiculous and the illustrations on their website kind of turn me off (I realize these are just weird neurotic issues on my part that in no way reflect the food.)
So, that said, I've grown horribly tired of only having a few trusty salad (my preferred lunch food) joints in the vicinity. One day, I decided to suck it up and check out Snarf's. I was pleasantly surprised by the Cobb. The main thing that stood out to me is the quality of the lettuce. It almost seems like they used butter lettuce (which is awesome), instead of the usual romaine. All of the ingredients seemed fresh, their service is really fast and ordering online saves a whole helluva lot of time (the lines can get pretty significant.) One thing to note, if you ask for chicken on the salad, they will give you chicken salad. If you want grilled, you need to specify that.
Maybe someday if I'm feeling truly radical, I'll check out the sandwiches. People seem to like them!
It is a chain, but doesn't taste like it. The sandwiches are great, and the Chicken Mambo soup and black bean soup are amazing. The bread is fresh and tasty. Staff at the Prudential building location are great and make my lunch break enjoyable. Can't go wrong when you need a quick lunch.
Review Source:I think the food would be good if they ever got the order right. Tuna sandwich with all the toppings--how is this difficult? I got back to my office with tuna between bread. Eww. Last time I went, I ordered with their iPhone app and the sandwich was ready 15 minutes after they said it would be. Ordering in line takes just as long. Ain't nobody got time for 'dat!
Review Source:Very welcome addition to Prudential Plaza.
It's a little like Potbelly but with higher quality ingredients.
I've become addicted to Snarf's
Their prime rib sandwich is the best thing I've had. It's delicious. And always on white. I actually much prefer the white bread a lot more than the wheat.
The potato salad is unexpectedly good.
Ordering with the mobile app is the way to go... Â Order while you're working and pick it up...
Their workers are great and friendly....
Prices are reasonable. Â Some items are actually significantly cheaper than the Quizno's this storefront replaced.
Love the lox and cream cheese "breakfast sandwich" there. However, I'm confused...why do I have to pay $1.10 extra for the bagel that this comes on? Isn't the definition of a sandwich an item of food consisting of two pieces of bread with meat, cheese, or other filling between them, eaten as a light meal? When I asked the manager or owner why it doesn't state that a bagel (to make the sandwich) costs extra on the menu, he said they usually verbally tell people that. It makes no sense.
Review Source:I love Snarf's!!! Â It is really great and conveniently located in Prudential 2. Â It has pretty much the exact same menu as another sandwich shop that toasts their subs EXCEPT Snarf's does it way better ... the meat is better, the bread is amazing, the dressings are home made, the hot peppers are the best and Snarf's has gourmet offerings (like A rotisserie chicken sandwich or portobello mushroom). Â I haven't tried their shakes so I can't comment on those but they do look amazing.
With that said, I probably love Snarf's sooo much because I work in P2. Â I am not sure how far I would walk to have their sandwichs. Â
Some reviews mention the price and I agree it can be a little pricey. Â I bring my lunch to work most of the time so I am not eating out everyday and I am not 100% sure if they are charging a bit too much or if it is worth it because their product is top notch.
Love the sandwiches! They're definitely on the expensive end, but Snarf's has the best meat. Their corn beef, pastrami, and turkey are all delicious, the bread is always fresh, and the service is getting faster and faster by the day. They're down to almost no line only 2 months after opening.
The downside? The sandwiches are definitely on the expensive end - $11 for a 7" sandwich and a fountain soda. Also, the personal hygiene of their employees is hideous. Most of them look beyond disgusting, as if they literally haven't showered in weeks, and I don't think their dirty beanies do much to cover their unwashed hair. I'm a little bit nervous about them touching my food. Seriously - you're not in Boulder anymore, Snarfs. Take a shower.
So I am not a big sandwich fan to begin with, and there are 50 places to get a sandwich near my office, and the few I have tried have that Chicago bread (crumbly, not stretchy). Not a fan. I figured I would give this place a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. I went back a couple of times just because the bread is right. Then today... I ordered my sandwich: a roast beef with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, but no cheese. I wait for it. The last guy in the assembly line tells me they made a mistake and made my sandwich with cheese. Now if I were still in Miami, that would mean, "Eat it anyway." That did not happen here. He (a) gave me the wrong sandwich and said they are making me a new one but I can take the wrong one to give to a colleague; (b) made the new one without asking me if I wanted it; and (c) upgraded me from a small to a medium, also without asking me first. THIS is customer service. They apologized and they took steps to make it right. No excuses, no attitude, no asking me what I want them to do about it... they just made it right. Kudos and you have sealed the deal on a loyal customer.
Review Source:I ordered the medium turkey and this is seriously one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The bread is out of control! Love it! I also love that they have light mayo. Â My one issue with this place is that THEY DON'T HAVE YELLOW MUSTARD!!! I mean seriously, what sandwich place does not offer the traditional yellow stuff!!?? I hate when places do that!! I have actually boycotted restaurants before for that sole reason...but this sandwich is just so damn good I'm willing to bring my own flask of French's. Â The entire time I walked back to my office from lunch I was praying that a homeless person wouldn't ask me for $/food because I really don't think I could bare giving this nugget up! I actually ended up sneaking the other half of my sandwich from lunch into a bar for dinner because I didn't want to let it go to waste!
Review Source:My sandwich was decent and the price wasn't too bad considering what's available in the area. Â Most certainly inefficiently run. Â When I got in line there were 3 people ahead of me and 10 minutes later I finally ordered my sandwich and then had to wait for it to be prepared. Â I think the sandwich makers probably could have asked people in line what they were going to order to cut the wait time. This is going to be a generalization, but the attitude of employees seemed very Boulder laid back... I'll be back, but only if there's no line.
Review Source:I've walked over to Snarfs 5 or 6 times since they opened, and they are getting the hang of things after their first month. Terrific sandwiches. Â Service is perfectly good. Â I like that they have 3 size options and kid-friendly sandwiches, and they customize without a fuss. Â Nice people, great sandwiches. Â Not cheap, but comparable to market prices for sandwiches in the area.
Review Source:Just tried out the new Snarf restaurant. Â I ordered the Cobb salad (nearly $9 with tax) and was not impressed. Â Despite all the good things they put in it (bacon, avocado, egg. misc. cheeses), it was bland and does not compare to the yummy salads at Soprafina or Au Bon Pain. Â I will say they gave you a lot of salad though, probably in an attempt to justify the price.
I won't rule out this place completely however (it is conveniently located in P2). Â I'll have to try a sandwich and cookie next go around.
Yum! After MONTHS of waiting for the Snarfs to open in the old Quiznos location of 2 Pru, today was the day! I'd never had a Snarfs sandwich before, but had heard good things and breathlessly awaited the opening. I stood in line for quite a while, (hey- first day) but was approched by someone who Starbucks-style, was taking orders from the people in line. I ordered the 7" Turkey and Swiss with pickles, lettuce and tomato, and it is toasty and delicious. I have some shell shock about the prices- Â my sandwich was $7.18. That's a LOT, considering the amount of lunchtime competition there is in this area. There was also a small snafu on the receiving side- apparently, there were 3 Emilys who all ordered similar sandwiches at similar times, but isn't that why you asked us for our last initials? Growing pains. No worries.
I'm looking forward to try other menu items. I'm hoping they end up being worth the premium prices here...
