Listen: what kind of a person would want an *untoasted* bagel when they order a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese?  I got my bagel home only to discover that the cooked innards sat on a cold, soggy bagel.  Gross.  I had to deconstruct my sandwich, toast the bagel, and reassemble it.  By that time, the bacon, egg, and cheese had gotten cold, leading to a subpar eating experience.

If you're gonna assume people might want untoasted bagels for their hot sandwiches, at least have the courtesy to ask your customer to specify.  Like: "Do you want that bagel toasted?"  See how simple that is?

I read about many other places on LBI that are supposed to have the best bagels and I went to them first - passing by Bagels & Beyond since I didn't read much about them.

My husband stopped there and brought me back an iced coffee.  It was the best iced coffee I ever had!  He told me they had a lot of bagels there so the next day I stopped in.  I was so impressed!  So many varieties and I wasn't disappointed at all when trying the ones I purchased.

Never went back to another bagel place on the island ... this was hands down the best and my entire family agreed.

I did not have any issues with the folks that worked there either -- both of the women behind the counter were extremely nice.

While I agree with other Yelpers that Bagels and Beyond probably have the best bagels on LBI, I don't want to lead you to believe they are the great bagels we can get up north.

This place has a great variety of bagels, great selections of cream cheese, good coffee, a decent pastry selection, and they'll make you a decent TAylor ham egg and cheeses.  Bagels are crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle...they are just SMALL compared to what I'm used to.

My favorite is the cheddar jalapeño bagel...I wish they made them at my bagel joint.

Crisp on the outside, chewy in the middle, delicious! Nice variety too. I was able to get everyone's favorite kind of bagel. Guided here by other Yelpers, I was glad to find a quality bagel on LBI.

For bagels, this is our favorite place on LBI. The bagels are delicious and we are sure to make a few trips to them each year we are at the beach. They only take cash, but it seems there are quite a few places like that on the island.

    Pros:
    large selection of bagels.
decent selection of cream cheese spreads (about 6 different kinds).
decent selection of other breakfast stuff: donuts, muffins, pastries.
They also have coffee and other beverages (although I didn't try any so I can't comment on the beverages).
they have a whole menu of lunch sandwiches choices (I was getting breakfast though so I don't know how they are).

    Cons:
Staff wasn't all that attentive - we asked for our bagels to be toasted - but when we got home realized none of them had been. They were friendly, i just didn't think they paid that much attention to our order.
Pricey - a bagel with cream cheese and lox is $7.50 (where I'm from that kind of thing is less than $4).
