Everything was amazing down to the service. We had a few cocktails and appetizers. So happy to see they have other locations so we can visit on our travels

Lunched at Bahama Breeze today.  Lovely outdoor setting, pleasant waitress.  Timely service.  FOOD;  NOT OK.   Ordered fish tacos with Mahi Mahi and avocado.  The TINY piece of fish in both taco's tasted like it had been pre-cooked (like maybe yesterday!)-- definitely not freshly cooked-- AND there was no avocado-- NONE!  Basically all I was eating was the soft taco shell ------ my advice is if you can't make a good fish taco take it off the menu.  I also ordered the fruit salad as a side, and while the mango sorbet was lovely, the fruit salad consisted of a bowl of grapes with a couple pieces of pineapple and strawberries thrown in for color. Maybe they should rename it grape salad.  At least it wasn't fruit coctail.

Too bad the food was so disappointing, this might be the place for drinks only.

Very nice place - clean and worth going.  We have eaten at the Bahama Breeze  in Miami and it it the exact set up with the same decor.  Our waiter, Dale, was very happy to suggest items that he thought we would like and he was very attentive to our every need.  Since I'm now living in the area, we are counting on re-visiting this restaurant again in the future.

The corn cakes and onion rings were both worth trying.  Ordered a mojito and Cuban sandwich.  Fire pit and bar to wait at for a table.

This is a great Bahama Breeze! My husband and shared the ahi tuna stack, the shrimp/lobster quesadilla, and the coconut shrimp. We each had a dinner salad and drinks. It was all delicious!

Ricky was our server during lunchtime and he was awesome! It was pretty busy when we first arrived, but Ricky did an outstanding job of taking care of us.

If it is a nice day, you have to sit outside!

You will have to wait, so come early! The atmosphere is awesome! There is a fire outside to warm you up and lots of colorful decoration inside. The food is great and alcoholic drinks are even better. The ladies bathroom is a fun place equipped with lotion, hair spray, and mouth wash just so you can freshen up.

    Holy crap on a cracker.

We came here for a late lunch a week ago . After sitting ourselves and being ignored for over 10 minutes, our tired, uninterested/depressed looking waitress arrived to take our order.

I was surprised that grouper was not an option on the menu so I chose the tortilla soup with coconut shrimp, and dad picked the portabella burger with a pina colada to start.

Things didn't even start off smoothly. I found a fruit fly in my water. The pina colada was a strange pink color ( how the hell do you mess up a regular pina colada?) and our food took over 25 minutes to arrive. My soup had a strange flavor with chunks of mushy vegetables and strips of soggy tortillas thrown in with a sad looking lime perched on the bowl that looked suspiciously like it had been recycled a few times.

Dad didn't touch his food and our waitress didn't bother to ask why. Garbage was left on the table in between appetizers and lunch that went ignored. The 'Conch Fritters' had no conch..just clusters of corn crammed in. They really need to change the name to fricken Corn Fritters because thats what they are.

If I hadn't been paying for most of the bill with a gift card, I would have been a lot more irritated. I'll just remember never to come back.

Not what I have always wanted. Doesn't taste authentic enough. I've had a lot of oxtail, jerk chicken and curry chicken made by my Caribbean friends, this was a turn off. Would not recommend to others who wants "real" Caribbean food.

Great food, great service. Loved the jamacian themed food. A nice change from the surrounding restaurants. Will definitely be back.

Yes, it's a chain restaurant but the food and the service are consistently good. If you are watching your weight, check out the nutrition information on the website before dining!

Not bad food seems like most of the other places I have been in FL, its just worth 3 stars. It was a cool atmosphere (probably a chain); nice seating and ok food.

I tired Crap, shrimp, mango, avocado stack, caribbean chicken and calypso shrimp pasta.

Worth stopping over if you don't have any other choice around but I not worth a trip.

They have the nicest outdoor seating so tropical but in FL its so hot. Buttermilk chicken meal is sooooooo good and a must try. I had the fish tacos and they were ok but the chicken was freaken great. They also have the most amazing side salad. I know I would eat a couple of these as a meal. They cut the cucumber side ways and swirl it around the top of the salad. Yumm

Average food for an average, to above average price.  The drinks and the environment are the attraction here.  Although the truffle yuca fries were delicious, everything else you can get at Captain D's and out of a box of jambalaya rice.

We love this place! I usually avoid it around season time but once those car tranport trucks start heading North, I head north to Ft Myers for some Bahama Breeze action!

The staff & bartenders have always been great to me & the misses, the food has always been awesome-- their dynamite shrimp are (like Bonefish Bang-Bang shrimp) are really tasty, popcorn buttermilk soaked shrimp w/ their much spicier version of the sauce on the side, perfect heat. The Beef Empanadas are fan-freakin-tastic, we always always get those when we're here, coconut breaded onion rings are great. We always like what we order, but we haven't ordered full blown dinner entrees here.

For all the times we've been here, we've only ordered 2-5 appetizers or salads, never had dinner so can't speak for the seafood specials or entrees, but if they're anything like the apps,... probably pretty darned good! Our recent visit we had a great bartender, we usually sit at the inside bar, the outside bar gets way to cigarette smokey for the misses. We've been making trips here for a few years now, & now that season is over, we will be here plenty until october!

Nice tropical setting, but their objective is to turn tables as fast as they can.  We went there for lunch which was very easy, especially if you get there a little before noon.  Went back for dinner and the wait was 1.5 hours, so we left.

Its a restaurant that looks like a lot more fun on the outside than it is on the inside.

I went for lunch & their menu had changed since the last time I visited. Great new menu choices. I must go back :) The service was excellent as well.

I generally don't go in for this type of place, but today I felt like sitting outside and enjoying the 80 degree weather.  We were greeted by a host of employees ready and waiting to serve.  We are on vacation, so I tried not one, but two of their 'skinny' drinks.  YUM!  light and refreshing with a low calorie count, what more can you ask for!

I ordered the fish tacos, my husband the coconut shrimp.  Having lived in Arizona for years, we are picky about our fish taco's, but these were outstanding.  A nice portion of fish and excellent sauce.  I had a side of seafood chowder as well; it was the perfect combo and included several shrimp floating on top.  My husband had an incredible house salad, I wished I had gone for that and a generous serving of large coconut shrimp.

All in all, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to return for another meal.  Fair warning that the outside deck fills up quickly during peak hours.

Bahama Breeze  joins Red Lobster and Olive Garden in Darden's corporate chain of middle-of-the-road crowd pleasers.

On arrival, we were handed the black beacon that was promised to blink in about 45 minutes.  I don't particularly care for a restaurant atmosphere that is so packed that it has to resort to electrtonic transmitters to round up diners.  But as promised, the black box went off and we made our way through loud gaggles of waiting families to a table under the octagonal ceiling covering even louder gaggles of dining families.

We're packed in here.  I noticed from a prior visit many moons ago that the cheesey gift shop near the front door has been replaced with rattan, upholstered furniture to keep really heavy and really old people out of distress until their tables are ready.

And like other restos who want to maximize their dinner counts, the place is crowded enough that four servers come at once with our orders.  That assures that entrees are hot, but it also accomodates the lack of space for waitstaff to maneuver.

Apparently, the Mid-Western lust for starch is also being accomodated for the majority of clientele who seem to be from the Mid-West.   My small salmon filet was served well done (no temperature variations available - sorry) with mashed, red potatoes and a lot of fried plantains.  Nothing green on the plate.  Not even garnish.

Other things at the table included fried coconut shrimp - $19 - which came on an oval platter, surrounded by a mound of yellow rice.  The shrimp were butterflied to a skinny flatness, making the batter overpower the taste of shrimp.  And like a school of fish who flee a predator, the whole food display was laid on the heavy dish to look a lot larger than the food really was.  Beware resto camouflage techniques!

Seafood chowder was also a camouflage feat.  There in the wide ceramic bowl with thick sides was a thick cream coating chunks of "Bahama bread" and a bit of scattered seafood.  Come'on.  I add bread to meatloaf as filler, but I'm interested to know where in the Bahamas this dish originated.

I have many culinary secret shames.  My love of Chinese takeout comes to mind.  A desire to live off of cheese pizza and tomato soup.  Ordering a hamburger at Les Halles (which was phenomenal).  But the one I've been ashamed to admit until now is that I love going to Bahama Breeze.   There, I said it.

On the surface Bahama Breeze is nothing more than Applebee's with an umbrella in the drink.  But once you look past the surface, and the horrible, horrible, shirts the employees have to wear, is a menu full of items I love to stuff in my mouth.

The onion rings breaded in a coconut batter, I love them.  The yukka fries cooked in truffle oil served with guava ketchup for dipping, I love them.  Chorizo sliders, buttermilk chicken sliders, Cuban sandwiches and coconut shrimp... I love all of them.  I know this is a national chain, but the food is good and that is a reflection of the people who are hired to cook here.  The kitchen is open, which is nice, because it shows the staff is doing more than dunking food in hot oil.

A friend put it best when he said every year his parents take him out to dinner and every year he picks Bahama Breeze because there is something for everyone and the food is good.  Mock me if you must but the food is good.

Tip:  Get the fruit salad as a side.  The fruit is good and it comes with a scoop of some really sweet and tasty mango sherbet.

If you can't make it down to the beach, this is the place for eating and drinking al fresco.  I find dining inside the restaurant to be just OK, and wouldn't think of this place first; but for outdoor dining its one of my favorites. Nice outdoor space with a bar, live music, and a fire pit. Good bar food and fast service.

I really don't see the appeal of this place.

Food is marginal.  Really nothing that doesn't taste like a failed attempt by a home "chef."

If the concept was done better, it might be a good place to get drinks.  Currently, it is crowded with poor tasting food.

Everything from the greetings I received upon entering to the great service I had was absolutely amazing.  I had the Seafood Paella and found it to be very very tasty.  I would highly suggest you visit this restaurant!

A decent seafood place and/or bar. This is one of those places where you'll want like 20 minutes to look at the menu, because there's so much stuff on it and it's really hard to decide. It looks like Bahama Breeze keeps adding new things to the menu - now that I see Seafood Paella, I have the need to go back right now and order some.

The mojitos here are amongst the best - I don't typically order anything but beer, but what the hell - I had to be in the spirit since this is such a tropical themed place. The wait staff is very friendly as well, and they actually know the menu pretty well. I took my waitress' recommendation (since I could not decide) and it was on par!

This restaurant is a little more on the slightly-above-average-pricey side. It really depends on what you order, though. Tag on appetizers and a couple drinks for two, and you'll see what I mean.

Aside from all of this, there's plenty of parking and the place tends to empty out quickly on a weekday. However, if you're there at a prime time, it's pretty loud. Overall, I will definitely return again and again.

the food was very good. I had the Jamaican grilled chicken. It was very tender and the mango gave it a different taste. I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes but the cinnamon sweet potatoes served with the meal were very good. Order half sweet potato/ half garlic mashed potatoes. The outside dining was very tropical with the one man band playing Caribbean tunes. It was an entirely different atmosphere inside! The service was good. we passed on the onion rings but the ones we saw pass by the table made us wish we had ordered them.

Ate here after a Twins spring training game.  Found it via Yelp when we were looking for a good place near to eat lunch.  Good value and large portions.  Fish taco combo with the chowder was excellent.  Soup was creamy and lots of seafood within.  Also had the flatbread combo with black bean soup.  It was huge and let's just say that we didn't need to stop for gas on the way home.

This is one of the places that we take visitors for dinner. A different place with some different types of food. I never had a bad meal here. One time which happened to be on my birthday they dropped my dinner in the kitchen. The server offered a complimentary cup of conch chowder to have while a new dinner was being made. When the bill came, they comped me my whole meal. Someone gets it right !

Wow! What a different type of restaurant. Coming from CA, I thought I'd seen it all, but this place really was different. Like being in paradise! Nice atmosphere, friendly service, and good food...a winning combination! It is similar to Applebee's or the Olive Garden, but unique on it's own with the decor.

I read the other reviews and thought they were too low on the overall rating. Maybe I'm just "Californiazed" and can't see things the same.

I had the Cuban sandwich. My side was yellow rice with black beans...yummy! It came with ham, roast pork, salami, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, hot-pressed on Cuban bread. My wife had the Mahi-Mahi, simply grilled with lemon-garlic-herb butter, and garlic mashed potatoes. She said the fish was fresh, and it was very tasty.

I recommend this place to any adults who are in the area. Live entertainment on the weekends and a nice outside patio for those who want to experience the true FL humidity!

This is a corporate chain restaurant in the embellished cookie-cutter style, with a failed attempt to differentiate it from the Applebees, TGI Fridays. Perkins, Cracker Barrels, you get the idea.

The appeal here is for visiting midwesterners (most of whom simply don't know a good restaurant when they see one), young families (for whom this is a fun night out in an accepting setting), and old people just looking for a comfy setting and bland food that won't make them sick.

Win, win, win all the way around.

I found the service to be good and my tilapia was average.

The Caribbean theme is a fun diversion but the ambiance and food items are seriously watered down (dare I say dumbed down?) for the above-referenced diners.

On the plus side, they have added caipirnha to the beverage menu. I adore them, and found the one here to taste a bit different from the ones I've had in Brazil and in Brazilian restaurants, but nevertheless I'm happy they are trying.

My family absolutely loves this place, especially my father.  (We're all from northern states and visit Florida in the winter.)  I've been there just once, but found it to be your typical chain restaurant.  We might as well have been in a TGI Friday's or Olive Garden with a Caribbean theme.  Sure, the open air bar with the central fireplace was cool, but everything else was typical chain restaurant...from the menu to the food to the service.  It wasn't bad, but nothing here grabbed me as being great either.  Would I come back on my own?  Probably not.  I've got many other places I'd rather eat.  ...but I know I'll probably be back sometime when everyone else in the family decides to eat there and I'm the only dissenting vote.

Since this chain is not in the northeast, I'm not sure that everyone in my family realizes it's a chain.
