New delivery style? Order arrived in 45 minutes which wasn't bad, I'm only 1 mile away so no grand feat there though. Interesting thing happens.
Phone rings,
Me: hello?
Driver: "Hey, I here already."
Me: "Okay great! Bell 2."
Driver: "I here already."
Me: "Okaaay, will you ring the bell please, so I can buzz you in?
Driver: "Yeah, I here already."
Me: "BELL 2!!" I then hang up.
I take a peep outside & see he's just sitting there. Now I'm pissed.
I haul downstairs & as I'm approaching the car, he finally jumps out! Wtf? Was he afraid a pack of goons was going to jump out of the surrounding rose bushes & rob him of his delivery & 20 bucks? So aggravating & he still expected a tip! Which I gave...reluctantly. Heck, It's Christmas. Now on to the um, food. Ok , I know every place has a specialty, but if you suck at it, don't make it a menu item!!!!
Ordered BBQ dinner. Flavorless boiled tips in a flavorless sauce. Never again. Even the breadsticks tasted like baked paste. Yuck. Would've been better off with a pbj sandwich.
And again, the quest continues for really tasty delivered pizza.
Bella Vita wasn't bad. Â I think if the pizza had stayed in the oven another 3-5 minutes, it would have been a lot better. Â The (thin) crust didn't seem cooked all the way and the cheese hadn't gotten any of those pretty brown spots on it. Â A tip -- it's not very filling of a pizza. Â We both ate more than we normally might. Â
All in all, not a bad pizza anyway. Â Delivery was about 20 minutes early which was amazing considering the downpour outside.
We'll likely try them again. Â How can you beat $11 for a 14" one topping pizza and two cans of pop?
