My old roommate and I used to come here all the time when we lived over in Factoria. Well, I just moved to Renton so first order of business: grab a girlfriend and hit up karaoke at Bender's!
They have a different DJ now, but she's pretty cool, and I wish I could do my hair like her.
Keep in mind this is Renton, and this is a dive bar. Ok with that? Then this place will make your night.
If I could rate it 3 and a half stars I would.
As for bars go, it's a decent size, has dart boards, pool tables and even a stage for some live music. The place was pretty crowded when I went on a Saturday night with a friend, she mentioned that it isn't usually as packed as it was.
One of the first things I noticed was the terrible location of the dart boards. They're litterally right next to the door so people coming and going constantly get in your way. There were 2 bar tenders on duty and they weren't handling the crowd all that well. (They didn't have a good idea who was waiting to get served the longest, instead they went for the loudest people / hottest girls).
Those small complaints aside this bar was pretty solid. The drinks were reasonably priced, the bar reasonably sized and the music reasonably good. Not much to complain about here. I'd go back if I didn't live so far away.
This place is great! Â The music in the Jukebox is good old rock and roll. Â The beer is cold and cheap, just like we like it. Â The staff and owner are very friendly. Â There are pool tables. Â It's a super place to hang out and drink with friends. Â The owner is very supportive of local businesses.

So I venture up to Benders and find a nice size bar with plenty of seating, kick ass music on the jukebox, the regulars, two dart boards and two well placed pool tables.
The beer was cold and cheap. Â However, the Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka and the American Honey whiskey was nice icing on this cake.
Oh - that and the couple who wanted to take my girlfriend and me home with them.. in THAT kind of way. Â Wow.
