Black Angus Steakhouse

Came here with my fiancee. We used a coupon for the campfire dinner for 2. Make sure you bring this, because it is a great deal. Sampler platter we got was a ton of food. Prime rib and rib eye we ordered were also good portions. We got hooked up with a dessert by the management since we mentioned coming here on this occasion for our anniversary. And that was in addition to the dessert we already had coming with our campfire dinner for 2. Matthew was an awesome server.

Came for lunch with a few co-workers. The place was pretty empty so we got seated right away. Server was super slow which I don't understand because there was like maybe 2 other parties besides ours.

What I got:
Grilled King Salmon Filet w/ Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Onion Rings ($13): Salmon was bland and dry. I didn't even finish my mashed potatoes, you couldn't even taste the garlic in it. I love onion rings and I liked it here. The onion rings were crunchy, breading stayed on, and the onion didn't go along with the first bite.

Service:
Our server only came by to take our order, bring our drinks, bring our dishes, and handle the check. We asked for the check right when she brought our dishes over to us and we didn't see her until we were almost done eating.

I have been to my fair share of Black Angus steakhouses. But when I decided to go last night for a nice quiet birthday dinner with my Mom and brother I was absolutely amazing at the quality of service we received. Our dinner reservations were for 5pm for a table of 3. We were greeted by the hostess and they immediately took us to our table. The restaurant wasn't crowded yet but our waiter was on it. He had our drinks and appetizer out before we had even ordered our dinner. He spaced us eating our salads and soup before he brought out our steaks. There's nothing more than I hate when you are eating your salad and they bring out your dinner. I believe timing is everything. He kept the beverages full and the bread coming. The manager even stopped by twice to check on us and even cleared some of our plates away. Hands down the best Black Angus I have been too. I didn't even know that there was one in Santa Ana, Ca. I have always gone to the one in Fountain Valley (ok) or the Buena Park (horrible) one. I look forward in making this location my only spot to go to from now on!
