ATOMIC Ballroom

Atomic is the place to come if you want to learn how to swing dance. They teach great Lindy Hop, 6 and 8 count, and Charleston. I have come for several lessons on Tuesdays. Sometimes I stay afterward for the social floor, and that is when the fun really happens. You will find people of every age at Atomic. Teenagers, adults, old folk - everyone comes here. I love it! The entire staff is very friendly, and prices are good. I would highly recommend you try it out of you are new to dance or new to the area. However, this is also a great place if you are a seasoned dancer of any kind!

Love this place! I've been taking Salsa classes every Wed night for about a year. Teachers are great, live band nights are cool, and people are friendly. Doesn't feel like a meat market. People are there to dance and have fun. Dance floor is spacious with benches and chairs all around to rest your feet. I've expanded my horizons and am trying some of their ballroom classes on Mondays. Such a variety of things to learn on Mondays...waltz, tango, nightclub two step, hustle. It's endless! Stay for the social dance after the group classes to practice. There's always something new to learn. Try it out!

I learned the basics of lindy hop. The steps so far look nothing like the razzle dazzle dance I have seen on TV but I guess you have to get to the advanced level to learn the smooth moves. The instructor makes the whole group swap partners after every itteration, which means that even the shy and uninitiated will get their groove on.

I had a hard time finding the place. Do not follow Sky Park Circle. Atomic Ballroom faces Red Hill Blvd at the corner of Red Hill and Main.
