Bohemian Caverns

The open Mic that Is held here on Tuesday evenings is a wonderful display of talent and fun..The house Band "Sounds of D.C." rock the house everytime, the hosts will keep you Lol! & I Promise you they are hilarious! The drinks are strong and the food is good enough to give your mouth a party of it's own. So if you like to relax and enjoy local talent,or just want a bite to eat, or maybe perform yourself, Come on Out! See you there!

This is strictly a brunch review... haven't attended a jazz event or open mic event. I think the key thing here is their bottomless mimosas. They are only $7 (can you believe Ben's Next Door charges $16??)!! I love the atmosphere of the place and the staff were very nice. We came towards the end of brunch and they graciously allowed us to stay longer than usual and continued our mimosas past the 3:30pm end time. I did not expect them to do that. I believe I had eggs, potatoes, and turkey sausage there. It was pretty good and I was glad the eggs weren't runny. I've been there another time and I believe I had a belgian waffle. That was good as well. I definitely would come back. The prices were very affordable.

This is really gross.  But it's true and I have to say something especially since there are other reviewers that reported the same like a year ago.  I went to the Bohemian Caverns last Saturday night for DC Jazz Fest.  We only stayed for the first set because 1) the act was not to our taste, and 2) I was getting itchy everywhere on my body while sitting on the upholstered bench against the wall, directly across from the stage.  My boyfriend also felt itchy.  As soon as we got home we put all our clothes in the wash and put them through high heat dryer just in case.  I don't know what it might be - either BED BUGS or FLEAS, judging from the bite marks.  But they  are still strongly itchy after two days!  I have numerous red and bumpy bite marks all over my waste and around my under arm area (I was wearing a tank-top and jeans) and I will never ever go back to this place again!  EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW
