I was going to bring a bunch of friends to this place and give it a try.  Drove by during the day and discovered "no weapons" signs on the doors.  Guess not....  No business that serves the general public has the right to prevent myself or companions from legally protecting ourselves.  Fail on them at the door.  Either way the location sucks and they will close just like the other tenants of that place.

Great music, great food! Service is always friendly. Very clean - the bathroom for ladies is not kept clean throughout evening, other then that I can't complain. Kudos on the mechanical bull and line dance lessons!

Okay . . . what? Well? How did I get here?

First of all, my review should be taken with a grain of salt because:

    A. I tend to not like GIANT venues of these types named with a cutely misspelled word. B. I don't care for suburban anything. C. People screaming "SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY" does not amuse me because C1. Riding horses terrifies me. C2. I've got no particular affinity for cowboys and C3. I hate that fucking song. D. I'll probably never come here again because I don't live anywhere near Oak Creek, and my cousin has now moved away as well. And she only really came here 'cos it was walking distance from their house.

All right, that said, what do we have here? We have a loud, suburban Milwaukee bar with a bad cover band and country music. Various Miller products on tap. Overweight cheeseheads in Packer gear. Lots of big groups, baseball hats, shouting, and beer flying around.

Oh, and they have a mechanical bull. If I want to throw my back out, I can think of way more appealing - and sexier - ways to accomplish that.

And this is a "saloon"? What is this, the Gold Rush of 1848?

Sound appealing yet? Didn't think so! You've been duly warned. Proceed.

I was hesitant to come here, I hate country music but our Veterans' group wanted to do happy hour here.  We walked in and were instantly greeted by a very nice host to directed us to a large group already seated (yes, we were late).  We were adding chairs to a table that was already full of people but the waitress was more than happy to help us squeeze in.

We ordered drinks right away and got them served to us promptly.  The servers were extremely friendly and very accommodating. We got menus and heard the specials and ordered appetizers since they were half price.  I know this is just bar food but I was impressed by the quality and taste of the chili cheese fries and the rest of the appetizer plates we tried.

The prices were very reasonable, and it was nice to find someplace in Oak Creek that is decent.  I am happy to report that on Thursdays, they turn off the country crap music for the Brewers and/or NFL games on the large screen televisions. I will definitely be back again, especially on Thursdays (and maybe Mondays if they do the same with Monday Night Football).

Went here with a large group. Even though our table ordered food first, we got it last out of our area. Waitress finally came back to confirm our order even though EVERYONE AT OUR TABLE ORDERED THE SAME THING. Horrible horrible service. Took an hour to finally get our food. Who the heck is training these people? Food and music was good, but the staff was so bad I'm hesitant to come again.

I was underimpressed with this restaurant. We had a group of 6 adults and one toddler. I was informed (when I called the restaurant) that they were child-friendly. The hostess sat the couple that came in just before us, then chatted with a co-worker for several minutes before asking how many were in out party.  It took another 4-5 minutes to push two tables together for out party.  I might add, there were only 4 other groups in the restaurant.  and then we still had to wait for the high chair when we walked to the table.

Our waitress was polite, but undertrained. She did run and ask her manager for the answers to our questions, so for that I applaud her.

Our appetizers were run-of-the-mill Sysco deep-fried special. not great tasting, not original, not many on a plate either.

our drinks came after the appetizers, and I had to wonder why, because there was no one sitting at the bar, and the bartender just seemed uninterested in her job, as she watched tv most of the time.  My bloody mary sat on our table, not drank. it just tasted, well, bad. i felt bad when the manager or owner (can;t remember her name) told the table next to us it was her very own recipe. everyone at the table tried it, nobody liked it.

My entree was bbq ribs and I had the side dish of butter beans, which was supposed ot be a house specialty. I was let down, as they were just cannned green beans. no texture at all. My other side dish was a baked potato, which was still raw inside.  the manager apologized and offered me a replacement, but i had lost my appetite by the time i actually tried the potato, so I declined.  my ribs were tough and i really had to work to get the meat to fall off the bone. And they were covered in bbq sauce that was too spicy for my tastes. however, my brother enjoyed it, so points for that one!

The manager did apologize for me not enjoying my dinner, but did not offer me a discount. I voiced some of my concerns to her, but not all, as I did not want her to think i was attacking her. I really, really wanted them to be good, because we need a good rib place in Milwaukee. Unfortunatley, I will not waste my money there again.   Maybe a fun  place for the good ol' boys to hanf out on a saturday night, but the food was not worth it.

Country music was not the draw for me, as it may be for some.  Not even the lure of a mechanical bull with glowing red eyes could pull me in.  It was more that a co-worker and friend was joining us for the evening, and he digs the country & [mid]western scene.  I was hesitant to choose Bootz, given its 2 1/2 star average among the Yelpers.  I should know to trust my Yelp MKE brothers & sisters.  Bootz was a flop.  I will give it a thumbs up for its chips & salsa (uber spicy and delish), but everything else gets a major thumbs down.  The server was instructed to bring the chips & salsa as the appetizer.  In fact, the exact words used were, 'You can bring the chips & salsa out first, as an appetizer.'  We ended up getting everything at once.  Well, all except the french fries that were supposed to come with my fellow diner's brisket meal.  He had to mention that the fries had not come out, and the server returned to the kitchen.  In minutes, she was back out with a plate of opaque, crinkle cut fries.  They were nearly transparent.  The hue could have been in great part to the raw state of the fries. They were underdone and still cold inside.  The side of onion strings that came with other fellow diner's pork sandwich were almost in as sad a state.  They were limp, greasy, and overdone.  There was zero crunch left in them.  It was like they had been sitting in a basket of grease, waiting to be served.  My "naked taco salad" was tasty.  Simple, but good.  I am sorry to report that Bootz is up to its namesake in bad food.

I went here to eat and watch a football game with a friend. Unfortunately, we never got to do either.  The Hostess immediately seemed uncomfortable with the fact that I use a wheelchair.  This is something that is difficult to describe in a review, but is very obvious when it happens.  So much so, that my friend even commented on how rattled she was.  Even though there were several other tables available, she stuck us right next to a group with about 14 kids. The space was so tight I could barely get my wheelchair to the table. I really didn't like this arrangement, so I asked the hostess if the bar area was wheelchair accessible. She gave me a sheepish grin and walked away.  When she didn't return by the time my friend got back from his trip to the restroom (about 5 minutes), we had had enough and just left and took our business to BW3!  I see no chance I'll ever go back here.

I just was not impressed with the food, our waitress was fine. She was quick with the drinks and food. I ordered the Avacado Burger and it seemed like a mechanically formed/pressed patty that was a little bland. I love burgers, really and truly but this just didn't do it for me. The shoestring onions were ok, nothing impressive.

Probably won't be heading back there again. Not really worth the money.

Both my wife and I agreed on something; this place is terrible. The food was awful and the drinks were also bad. Very tough to mess up a Screwdriver but they managed to do it with some rotten orange juice

Headed over for some boot scooting this past Thursday....Unfortunately, I missed the line dancing instructor and the mechanical bull :(

I checked out there happy hour, which is from 3-8 (insanity) and was pleased. The server we had, Brie, was amazing. There were about a dozen of us and she handled all of the check splitting and round of drink buying with ease. It's owned by three locals. Two of which were there and chatting with us. Chris is one of the owner/managers and she was very welcoming!

I had the Southwestern Egg Rolls and the Chicken Nachos. Food was decent, prices are fair, atmosphere is friendly.

They do live music on the weekends, a good solid line up of local country bands.

This location has struggled in the past, it's been a few different things over the years. I hope this one sticks, it's a great addition to the South 27th street area!

Look for my review revision when I head back to check out their full menu!

This new country-themed bar/restaurant just opened in August(?) after being the Arizona Grille.  I visited on Sunday.  Great staff-very proactive in making sure everything is up to par.  Nachos were awesome!   Will visit on a Friday or Saturday night since they now have a mechanical bull installed.  Also has 10-12 TV's for Sunday football.
