Was visiting "home" and a friend suggested we meet her at the "Bully." Â We were warned that it was a dive bar, but thought it would be fun. Â No lie, it was just as my previous reviewers stated...a true dive bar! Â But it was a good time, and once we stayed in there a while, the regulars started to warm up to us. Â They have an awesome state of the art jukebox, pool, and a couple video games. Â The place was clean and the bartender, Mike, was awesome! Â The best part, our total bill was like $20!! Â Unheard of since we're from Vegas. Â I'll definitely go again next time we're in town.
Review Source:5 Stars you ask? Yes...because it's a REAL dive bar! I try to visit Boise at least once a year and besides hittin' the Cactus and Pengilly's, I likes me some Garden City. My friend Audrey used to bartend here. Â That's how we were introduced to this bar. I didn't get that 'you don't belong here' feeling but as I said we came with friends that knew the place and the people. With all that said..if you truly like locals and a real dive bar then get down to the Boulevard. I can't wait to hang there again. Peace
Review Source:I think there is a rampant overuse of the word 'dive' when describing a bar. Â Too often the word is categorically deployed to describe any bar that is not fancy, or whose clientele cannot be considered as upscale. Â However, the word could not come any more correct than it does when describing a place like The Boulevard.
This place is a little ruff, if you know what I'm sayin'. Â
You are gonna get the once over when you come in The Boulevard. Â You might get hated on if you are 'different'. Â Outsiders are not immediately smilied upon, I am told. Â All the same, if you want a dive, this is the real damn thing.
