Delicious, generous portions, and hardworking staff. I highly recommend it and would be happy to return.

Beer and croquetas.  Ummmmmm

I like going to places away from home, and fining an establishment that truly represents the culture and locals, this was the spot!

Having read the YELP reviews I had to go with Bar Gernika, and the food recommendations, croquetas (A!) and the lamb grinder (A).  I'd never had a croquet, it's a deep fried ball from the heavens, that melts in your mouth.  I can assume that they are packed with calories, but it's worth the investment.  The grinder was big and tasty, it also came with a cup of red bean soup, which was filling.  I left with a full belly.

I like my beer, and this place has some unique beers on tap, I tried their two different IPA's, which were both good.

It's important to note that this local is small, but you can find a spot, it's worth the wait.  The servers are all super friendly and know their way around the menu and can also explain the different beers.  Very cool local experience.

My boyfriend wanted me to say the food was crap so this place would remain somewhat a secret, I think he just wants to eat all the croquettas that they can make. The spicy lamb grinder is divine and in terms of comfort food you can't go wrong with the lamb stew. When it's nice out there are chairs/tables outside to enjoy people watching and sunshine. The garlic dressing for the salad is also super tasty, not the most garlicky but it is divine. Every time I am in the Boise area I try to make my way over here to eat some very tasty lamb and delicious croquettas.
