I begin my Journey through the noisy, obnoxious cesspool that is Hannah's, at the door. Acknowledged by a bouncer who nodded at me and then promptly walked away, I walked through the door only to be violently grabbed and swung around by my shoulder, with a 300 pound skinhead bouncer staring me in the eyes, and saying "hey, man. You think you can just walk right past me?" Well, of course I did, because you didn't check my I.D. and you nodded at me. It set the tone for what would turn out to be a horrible night.
The place is crowded and I had to wait easily 5 minutes to get a bartender to even acknowledge my existence. When I did finally get my drink, it tasted... awful. As far as I know, a "splash of water" does not mean "as much water as whisky."
The sound system is, admittedly, very good, and the band that played that night was excellent. But, unfortunately, I've heard Journey's "Small Town Girl" enough times for my own good and I'd prefer to hear something a little fresher.
Maybe clubs just aren't my thing. I think I'll stick to bars that are a little more quiet and friendly.
I came here to watch a friend's band perform and checked Yelp before I left the house. One reviewer on here had me VERY nervous about the prices. I was pleasantly surprised that, not only was she wrong, but the prices for drinks were über reasonable. Not horribly crowded but definitely busy for a Friday night.
