Taphouse, pub and eatery should change their name to just Taphouse, pub. Â The atmosphere is nice and relaxed during the day. Â Plenty of TVs showing sports and music playing the background. Â The wait staff is polite and knowledgeable about their beers. Â They have a nice selection of beers. Â The one thing that was not good was the food, at least the main entrees were not.
My wife had the Fresh Roasted Veggie Panini and she kept adding salt to her sandwich. Â There was no flavor to the sandwich. Â The same thing with my Turkey Burger. Â There was more flavor in the roasted red peppers than in the burger itself. Â I would not recommend going here for food why I suggested the name change. Â The food does not fit the prices they ask for them. Â It tasted as the veggies where frozen, thawed, cooked, and served. Â No seasoning and no fresh taste that veggies have. Â Turkey burgers can be delicious, but it needs to be seasoned correctly and the condiments should never be more aggressive than the meat.
I will not be returning here for the food. Â And there is nothing that really draws me back that I cannot find elsewhere in Boise.
Oh its a sports bar.....
Sports bar not, Â a Taphouse. Bitter Creek is just down the block with better food anda better beer selection. This place screams out to the "bro" crowd and shuns the educated beer drinker. The bar tender who served me had little knowledge of the beer on tap. At least this place will draw the bros off of Bitter Creek.
