I begin my Journey through the noisy, obnoxious cesspool that is Hannah's, at the door. Acknowledged by a bouncer who nodded at me and then promptly walked away, I walked through the door only to be violently grabbed and swung around by my shoulder, with a 300 pound skinhead bouncer staring me in the eyes, and saying "hey, man. You think you can just walk right past me?" Well, of course I did, because you didn't check my I.D. and you nodded at me. It set the tone for what would turn out to be a horrible night.
The place is crowded and I had to wait easily 5 minutes to get a bartender to even acknowledge my existence. When I did finally get my drink, it tasted... awful. As far as I know, a "splash of water" does not mean "as much water as whisky."
The sound system is, admittedly, very good, and the band that played that night was excellent. But, unfortunately, I've heard Journey's "Small Town Girl" enough times for my own good and I'd prefer to hear something a little fresher.
Maybe clubs just aren't my thing. I think I'll stick to bars that are a little more quiet and friendly.
I came here to watch a friend's band perform and checked Yelp before I left the house. One reviewer on here had me VERY nervous about the prices. I was pleasantly surprised that, not only was she wrong, but the prices for drinks were über reasonable. Not horribly crowded but definitely busy for a Friday night.
Review Source:Saturday's are ladies night && we get in free!
The Rocci Johnson band (sp?) is always rocking! She sings a huge variety of songs there is something that every person will like. Just this last time I was there she sang, Rhianna, to Nirvana, to Journey, to Black eyed peas. The band has a great set list & really know how to keep up with what the dance floor wants.
The drinks seem fair priced, when you watch the staff make them, they use a TON of alcohol. We ordered 6 drinks and it was 25$ which seemed fair to me.
Bathrooms are clean & there is also lots of sitting room/ and a big pool room, but the dance floor is where it's at!!!!
I have been here quite a few times before but will not be going back. We were there 1/14/2012. We ordered a couple of drinks and were kind of shocked at the price, $23.50, but we paid and the waitress basically said "I don't make the prices the bartender does." So we decided to order ourselves from the bar and we ordered the exact same drinks, and the price was only $16.00. We told the bartender about what the waitress had charged us and he said "I don't make the prices, the waitress does." So exactly who is in charge of making the prices? Obviously the waitress was overcharging and lining her own pockets. So apparently there are no set drink prices and they can charge you whatever they feel like at this place. Very shady.
Review Source:Even though I hated Idaho and couldn't stand it one bit of my life. Â Hannah's was a place where I would actually remember having fun at. Â Rest of time was depression in the no good state of Idaho.
I went here several times when I was an GI at Mtn. Home AFB. Â This place is great for people that want to relax and have a good time. Â Live music, pool, different variety of clientele, and great atmosphere.
