BOZo's. Has great dogs, beef and BBQ pork sandwich's. Quick service and  inexpensive.

the only reason it is BOZ instead of what used to be Bozo's was a copyright dispute between Bozo the clown and this chain.

I will always know it as Bozo's and for their great dogs w everything on them.

This is a great little hole in the wall joint to grab some food. The hot dogs
are really tasty. Most of the items have been pretty good and at
    reasonable prices.

It's 1988.  You've got a side ponytail and layered fluorescent slouch socks and you're cruising down Griffith's tree-lined streets with your best bud on your rollerskates.  You've got a destination in mind and when you get there, you spare no expense.  You've got plenty of change, so you order the hotdog, ketchup only (you were picky back then).  Throw in a bag of Jay's Okedoke cheese popcorn and a Hostess fruit pie.  Maybe get a Mystic and feel grown up (although maybe Mystics didn't come out until later.  Whatever.).  There you have the lunch of  8-year-old professional girls of summer (and my little brother when we were nice enough to let him tag along).

People call Boz's "Bozo's", which is totally wrong.  What's right, though, is that this is the only hotdog joint in Griffith that I can think of and God love 'em for letting little kids pay for their meals in lotsa change.  I loved this place with all my heart when I was little not only because it had good dogs and soft-serve, but because it was the only damn place in town I could ride my bike to and afford to buy an actual meal.  I love it now probably because I loved it then, but Boz's still makes a mean dog, has good chili and Italian beef sandwiches... I think they still have Hostess fruit pies and cheese popcorn and I am very sure that the posters pushing sundaes are the originals from my early days.  The place still employs high school students who cater to folks on their lunch breaks and families looking to sit at the outdoor picnic tables--hopefully they're still nice to the 8-year-olds seeking their independence.
