Yum, yum, Â yum! Â This is my favorite lunch spot in Bolingbrook. Â The salmon is always cooked to perfection, honestly never had it less than perfect. Â My advice: order the Tex Mex hummus as an appetizer whether you're there for lunch or dinner. Â It's the best hummus I've ever had. Â If you're with someone who's not sure about hummus, this will make them a convert. Â
I've never experienced anything but the best of service. Â Their servers are very loyal, always have menu advice and can't seem to tell me how much they enjoy working there. Â Impressive.
Excellent food + Excellent service = Great dining experience
Some perspective: when Branmor's American Grill opened fifteen or so years ago, it really was the only classy choice for business/liquid lunches or that sort of thing in all of Bolingbrook. Â With The Promenade mall, that may have changed. Â However, that's clear on the other end of town and features chain style restaurants.
I too was duly impressed the first time when I walked into the Prairie style building. Â The brass on the doors was nice, the interior was well appointed and cozy and the service seemed to be friendly and on the mark. Â The food was rich and tasty and there seemed to be plenty of it. The noise levels (a big factor for me) were manageable. Â The parking there is hassle free.
As the years have dragged on, I have noticed that the owners have not maintained the building. For example, one of the exterior doors, facing west, had a sign on it indicating that it was out of order. Â That went on for years. Â While the inside was clean enough, I have noticed that it no longer sparkles as it once did.
Onto the food.  If you're into food with B-I-G calories, this place will serve you well.  Even the basic dinner salads have been whomped up with fried onions.  The bread is delicious and plentiful.  I have stayed with steak and beef entrées to remain on the safe side.  The variety in their main course choices seems to stem from how the chef adds extra calories to the base food.  If you are watching your weight or trying to impress someone who is, this may not be the place for you.
Here's the bottom line on what I use to discern about going to Branmor's: if someone else is paying, then go for it; if not, then look elsewhere.
I've been here a couple of times in the last year. The appetizers, salads, and steaks are amazing. Both times I had the blue cheese steak with russet potatoes and it's one of the most delicious meals I've experienced in my life. It's a little bit pricey compared to the chain restaurants in Bolingbrook, but definitely worth the price.
The desserts I've had are the only thing that make this a 4 instead of a 5. The first time I was there, they had a cookie dough cheesecake that I wanted to try, but did not. Craving it for months, I asked about it when I returned, and the waiter merely said that the dessert menu was everything they had and didn't offer more explanation. I'm not sure if they have seasonal desserts, but I was disappointed I couldn't finally try the cheesecake I regretted not ordering the first time. The French Silk Pie and regular Cheesecake I had were really nothing special.
