Cattleman's Steak House and Saloon

The writing must have been on the wall for this place because it's closed! We stopped by on the way home from out of town to redeem a gift card and the lot was empty. The neatly placed signs on the door simply said "Cattleman's Is Closed. Thank You for your patronage!"

These sleazes still have their web site open like nothing happened!  Apparently the owners served garbage until people stopped eating there and the place was no longer profitable. Went to Red Lobster for a perfect meal instead.

Food was not all that good. Steak had a slight aftertaste from whatever it was stored in. My friend's steak was way under done. Had better.

Stopped in for dinner while out shopping and Bolingbrook and ended up leaving after one beer.  I think it was a weekday evening and there were only like five cars in the parking lot- that should have been our first warning. Then, we decide to sit at the bar so we can watch the basketball game. The bartender came over and asked us what we wanted to drink, so we asked for a drink menu.  They didn't have one. Seriously, what kind of a bar doesn't have a drink menu? A shitty one.
So, he says, I have a pretty stocked bar, I can make just about anything. My husband and I decided to just have a draft beer. As I'm sipping my beer, I look up and notice a sign hanging from the ceiling for margaritas- the special that night. My first thought was, why didn't he say "Tonight is margarita night?" My second thought is, do they have a food menu... because we didn't get one of those either. So after our beers are almost empty and we still have no food menu, and the bartender has not come back to see if we needed anything else- I honestly don't even know where he went, he just disappeared. He could have fallen into an alternate universe somewhere. We left $15 on the bar and never looked back. Then we went down the street to Fridays and had awesome drinks and dinner. Good thing for TGIFridays that these guys suck so bad!
