The bar and restaurant are literally not connected to each other which made it confusing to decipher what exactly we were walking into. It was the bar we entered into first and the stench of cigarettes was revolting. Why they don't air out or attempt to cycle through the smell is beyond me . We were trying to figure out what we were going to do, and then the female bartender rudely asked what we wanted. She wasn't helpful at all and rudely directed us to next door, the restaurant.
Place is crap, it stinks and the staff is rude.
While in St. Pete's late one night for work I literally stumbled upon Buffalo City. Â Located in subprime strip center, it would be easy to miss. Â The beef on weck sign out front got me in the door - a Buffalo specialty and one of my personal favorites. Â I like to smoke cigarettes when I drink so I was pleased that it was a smoking bar. Â The bartender, Sheryl, was very friendly and super fast with her service. Â There were plenty of TVs to watch sports, and my food came to me less than 10 minutes after I ordered it. Â And the beef on weck was LEGIT. Â I thought about getting the wings too, as they were recommended, but I'll have to save that for next time. Â I ordered 2 Jack & Coke's and they were poured right. Â My total bill for food & 2 drinks, including tip was less than $22. Â If you want a bar where you can smoke, with lots of sports, great food, great service, great prices and no frills, Buffalo City is your place. And if you are from Buffalo, you'll feel right at home.
