Based on Yelp reviews and a friend's insistence that I try some darker brews, I couldn't let a place so close go unseen. It is a small place, but it has a very cozy feel. The patrons were not snobbish, which for me is always a highlight(I'm looking at you WOB) and the prices were insanely reasonable. As long as you are willing to wait a bit,you will get good service and find a great beer. I couldn't hang with the big boys when it came to The Unkindness, but didn't feel too bad since my date couldn't either : ) Nipperkin was a great find though and I will be back for more of that and random locals singing along to the Pogues...
Review Source:I am really trying to learn more about beer and spending time visiting the local breweries in Tampa Bay. Barley Mow is a hidden gem in Largo and well worth the drive from Tampa. Â They have 14 rotating taps with a lot of their own beers as well as many American brews, most of which are from Florida. I can't wait to go back and taste more of their incredibe brews!
