  Great place if you want a cheap bar you can smoke in that serves good cheap food.
  
  Do not come if you are bothered by smoke.
  
  Food is really good for the price. It is technically take out from next door to bypass the food service/nonsmoking laws.

  The bar and restaurant are literally not connected to each other which made it confusing to decipher what exactly we were walking into. It was the bar we entered into first and the stench of cigarettes was revolting. Why they don't air out or attempt to cycle through the smell is beyond me . We were trying to figure out what we were going to do, and then the female bartender rudely asked what we wanted. She wasn't helpful at all and rudely directed us to next door, the restaurant.
  
  Place is crap, it stinks and the staff is rude.

  While in St. Pete's late one night for work I literally stumbled upon Buffalo City.  Located in subprime strip center, it would be easy to miss.  The beef on weck sign out front got me in the door - a Buffalo specialty and one of my personal favorites.  I like to smoke cigarettes when I drink so I was pleased that it was a smoking bar.  The bartender, Sheryl, was very friendly and super fast with her service.  There were plenty of TVs to watch sports, and my food came to me less than 10 minutes after I ordered it.  And the beef on weck was LEGIT.  I thought about getting the wings too, as they were recommended, but I'll have to save that for next time.  I ordered 2 Jack & Coke's and they were poured right.  My total bill for food & 2 drinks, including tip was less than $22.  If you want a bar where you can smoke, with lots of sports, great food, great service, great prices and no frills, Buffalo City is your place. And if you are from Buffalo, you'll feel right at home.

  Great drink prices, probably the best in Pinellas that I'm aware of. Food is pretty good, wide selection too. Very friendly bar staff.

  This is a place owned by the same people who own NIckle City restaurant. Nickle city is known for their beef on weck (it's a roast beef sandwich people-that's all) and their infestation of cockroaches. The owner has known about it for years, has treated in on occassion but with no great effort. I have personally seen the "chef" flick a dirty german cockroach off a pizza and tell the server "servce it anyway" So yes, when you complain about the owner of this place turning off your music cause he doesn't like it, believe me it's the least of your worries and the least of his concerns! Avoid it like the plague people, it's a dive

  I used to go to this place a LOT but don't go there quite as often anymore because of some things that happened; not just once.
  
  First off, this is a GREAT place for the cheapest bar tab you'll probably ever have.  And their food is good which is from a small restaurant that the bar owns next door.
  
  Reasons why I don't like this place anymore:
  
  1) Smokey.  I don't smoke and every time I leave this place, I smell like an ashtray.  They do not have good ventilation.  I always leave my jacket or sweatshirt in the car to avoid this.
  
  2) On one occassion, about a year ago, I went with my friend sometime in the late afternoon.  We had ordered a couple of drinks and were planning on staying awhile.  The jukebox had some country music on, which isn't our thing, so we put in about $5-10 worth of songs to be played once whatever was ahead of us played.  By the time our songs played (about 45 mins after buying them) the volume was lowered considerable to an almost inaudible volume and after the third song, they were shut off and country music was put back on.  We were livid.  Not trying to make a huge stink, we complained to our waitress who said that the owner was in and didn't like our music so that's what happened.  We paid our tab and left.  That was so sh*tty.
  
  3) I went back another time for a friend's b-day so I made an exception.  I also thought maybe the previous time was a fluke.  So I put money in the machine and the same f***ing thing happened!! But at least this time they weren't shut off completely, but the volume was considerably lower.  We asked the manager to turn it up, but were refused b/c the owner told them to turn it down.
  
  In short, I'm done with this place.  I only make short appearance's now because some of my friends this place is new mecca. It's the true epitome of a dive.  But they're saving grace is cheap prices and their bartenders are really good and friendly.
  
  And to agree with Lori, the beef on weck is really good.  BUT you don't need to go into the bar to experience it :)

  Ok I  am writing this review being a true buffalonian. This one of the few places in FL that you can get a Beef on Weck! If you need to ask what this is you must try one. its a true WNY Classic! They did a great job and new exactly what I wanted when I said I wanted it wet! YUMMMM Other then that it looks like your usual Pizza bar joint.
