45 minutes to whip up some banana pancakes and an omelette, while there was literally only one other table in the restaurant? Â Are you growing the bananas? This is basic short-order cook stuff. Â There was an awful lot of standing around and chatting in the open kitchen, which we were seated right next to.
Then, the food was mediocre, with legitimately nasty home fries.
Nobody bothered to ask at our table if everything was ok. Â The standard in this country is once per meal.
And finally, I left the worst tip I've left in a while, and didn't feel bad about it. Â It's not about the money, on a $30 brunch check. Â It's about sending a message- dare I say doing them a favor. Â They need a wake-up call to get their acts together.
