Over the past few years, I have been going to Cafe Affton. The parking lot is kind of awkward, however, that will not stop me! The menu has all of it's items named after St. Louis places .... St. Dominic Cheddar Burger, St, Mary's Steak Sandwich, etc. All of the food comes in huge portions and is very reasonable. I love their house salad. You can eat in, at the bar, or carry out. The staff has always been super friendly and attentive. I will be coming again!

Cafe Affton form the outside I didn't know what to expect but once inside it was very nice, our server was nice & very attentive. We ordered an appetizer sampler, wings , veggie burger & some more @ our party of 4. Very pleased with the food, quite large menu & service. Will be returning soon. :)

Awful with a capital A. Pizza sausage and pepperoni had like 10 pepperoni's on it and 12 sausages. Service was terrible told 20 minutes on pick-up after arriving 25 minutes later still had to wait 20 more minutes. Avoid this place save yourself time and money

I have been coming her for at least 7 years now and have tried so many things on their menu. Deffently a must try if you have not. First off you are not longer allowed to smoke in St. Louis county so no more smoke.  I must say their staff has always been great to us.
As I have tried so many things on their menu and never has one been bad. Their fish tacos are good try them some time. My all time favorite is the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich Fantastic. Some others I enjoy is the cuban and triple decker. Their wings are FANTASTIC we compair all other wings we try to the ones here. They have things like  pizza, steaks, toasted rav, chicken fried /grilled, salads, veg bergers, 10oz Hamburgers ect...all meals are large portions. We drop by now and again to grab some wings or nachos get to small nachos unless your hungry.

Drinks here at the bar are great you can meet up with your friends for a casual night of fun.  Maybe you want to have a beer and watch a game. With something like 22 TV's It would be hard not to watch one in here. World Series was great here went their for at least 2 games. They have a Halloween Party every year that is blast I even won one my self as a zombie Ya e Ya tickest to a STL Blues Hockey game. Thank you.
Breakfast use to be served and I hear is coming back soon A must but only available on the weekends. I use to eat the slinger which is a combination of hashbrowns egs bacon or sausage chile cheese onions with toast.

Great food but the service is hit or miss.  We go there for work every once in a while.  We'd go more often, but it is difficult to go eat and be back to the office in an hour and the office is no more than 5 minutes away (if we hit all of the lights).  It is a good place to go for happy hour too because they have great happy hour specials on food and drinks.  Last time I was there my friend ordered a trashed buffalo chicken sandwich which looked amazing and I will definitely try the next time I am there for a non-happy hour occasion.

Ok, My favorite place to catch a game, have a beer, get a great lunch or a dinner when you don't want to get dressed up. Best place that is NON- SMOKING to watch sports.. and if there is a problem with your order, just tell them, they will do their best to make it right... Great people...

How to enjoy Cafe Affton Sports Grill & Bar, in 5 easy steps.*

    1. Gather a handful of friends. Drink beer. The crappier the better. PBR, Natty Light, Stag. You get the picture.

    2. Run. The distance doesn't matter, although between 4-5 miles seems to be the sweet spot. Don't forget to drink more beer.

    3. Walk/stumble to Cafe Affton. Try not to be too obnoxious. Actually? What the hell. You're in a hoosier bar in Affton. Go crazy.

    4. Grab a seat at the bar. High five the kickass bartenders. Seriously. Just do it. They're awesome.

    5. Check the clock. Is it between the hours of 10pm-midnight? Perfect. Order some items from the happy hour menu. Hamburgers. Nachos. Toasted Ravs. Fries. Cheesesticks. More beer. Everything on the happy hour menu is $2. Two bucks. That's not a typo.

*Drinking and running is strongly recommended. Drinking and driving? Not so much. Grab thee a DD!

easy cheese. squirted. into the middle. of the onion ring. on my pulled pork sandwich.

    WHAT. THFK.

Been here before and had the pulled bbq pork pizza twice before and boneless wings also. Came back over the weekend and got pulled pork sandwich thinking it would also be good. Was supposed to have CHEDDAR CHEESE with the onion ring and bbq sauce. NOT EASY CHEESE.

The crust on my friend's chicken pot pie wasn't even done and it was the saddest pie ever.

I was embarrassed I convinced us to go there.

Had I reviewed this previous times, I would have given an average review. But, an order of boneless wings does not equal a chicken breast chopped up into pieces with buffalo sauce and pressurized canned cheese does not belong anywhere on a menu.

If you've run out of FOOD, do not play pantry magic with me.

I don't even care anymore that you carry Michelob Golden Draft!

Food at Cafe Affton is good, and the portions are huge, but the 2 times we have been there we had to wait a ridiculously long time for our food to come. I waited to write this review after we went the first time because I thought maybe it was just bad luck that they literally forgot to put our order in and didn't check on it for about 45 minutes (thus making it well over an hour after ordering that we actually ate), but the next time we went we also had to wait a really long time to eat. Not sure what the problem was the second night, but considering how long it took to get our appetizer they may have forgotten about us again. Both times we have been there it was very busy, so maybe we just have bad timing.

I must admit though, that we were given a $10 gift card the night that they forgot to put our order in, and the second time the we went and it took a really long time they took our appetizer off the bill. It was admirable that they made an effort to rectify the situation both times.

Like I mentioned before, the food was very good. Although my husband's steak filet dinner special came with canned vegetables, which is pretty lame. However my mom claims they have the best chicken pot pie ever, and the chicken cavatelli that I had was awesome.

We aren't rushing to get back, but we will dine there again.

I love the appetizers here. Their food is very good and the prices aren't bad. The seating is not the best setup; some of the tables are really close together and you feel like you're in someone else's conversation. My other complaint is that it is really loud inside especially during games; everything echos.  The food weighs out the cons though!

Two Words : Onion Rings! They were the best I have ever had.
This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is great. The staff are always nice and everything I've had has been great.
    Prices are pretty cheap too.

    Bottom Line:
Food is affordable, and sorta digestible.  The place is clean, but can get awfully smokey!

    Food:
I have been here twice, the second time because I was forced to go.

Here is what I have had:
Virginia Blue - Basically a blue cheese and bacon cheeseburger.  The burger was just OK, barely.  The blue cheese turned out to be blue cheese salad dressing.  What?  Yeah.  Salad dressing.

Salem Lutheran Reuben - Part of the allure of ordering this was due to the fact that I went to grade school here.  Well, the corned beef tasted like a salt lick.  Almost inedible.  Really.  However, I was hungry and my meal was being paid for, but I should have asked for something different.

    Atmosphere:
Clean, but can be smokey, like on my second visit.  For that fact alone, I don't think I will be coming back.

    Summary:
This place does pack in the people; I live nearby and see the cars in the lot.  However, I just don't get it.  It is probably mostly due to the price.  Oh, by the way, parking can be a pain; just an awkward setup.

Affton Cafe should be on Diner's Drive-In's and Dive's.
Their food is very good for what you'd expect from a "Sports Bar"
Very Friendly & Professional Staff, Quick Service, Good Eats.

Only Complaint: cold dinner bread... but who cares when the food is good.

    Overall:
Great Food, Good Prices, Friendly Staff.
If you don't like sports bars or places with more TV's than Tables... stay away.
    Their House Dressing is awesome.
Keep up the great work Affton Cafe!

Love the Cafe! Great breakfast pizza, the Chicken Modiga Pizza is amazing and everything else I have eaten is very good. The nice and very hands on owner is always around chatting and helping his friendly and professional staff. We went to the Cafe the day after Mardi Gras which happened to be Valentine's Day breakfast and the place was packed to the gills...our server, in a very chipper and funny way, told us just how busy they were and that our food may not be as quick as usual but it would be every bit as delicious...of course she didn't lie, yum! Despite the craziness of the place, my coffee cup never was neglected and allowed to empty!! We go to the AC (as we call it) about once a month and have never left doing anything less than singing their praises and talking about how great the food was!

Good place, went in around 10pm on a Thursday night.  Decent late-night specials...$2 drafts, $3 mixed drinks, and a $2 appetizer menu.  Bar area isn't that big, but still a good area to hang out.  They've got TV's on most walls, as well as Keno.
